Good evening Dale and lurkers

    Merry Christmas, SMT!

Think we hit 60 today, quite a difference from being snowed in last year.

Chicken soup sounds good, Dale. Think we could all benefit from some of that here. Nothing full blown, but everyone is dealing with a symptom or two.

Hope everyone had a great day! I am ready for a good night's sleep and a week of doing nothing much

60!? Lols it was supposed to be in the low 60’s here today but the warme point was when I got up at 5 and it was 57. Then it slowly dropped all day until now and it’s 42.
I’m sorry to hear y’all are feeling puny, hope it doesn’t amount to much.

I was supposed to work tomorrow but Randy called and said to come Wednesday, can’t say I’m sad
    Merry Christmas everyone

Christina was happy with her gifts. Dinner was prime rib roast, lobster tails, mashed potatoes and corn dessert is apple pie. I’m whopped now.
    Hey Joey
Glad you had a good Christmas, your meal sounds amazing!

Have a good night everyone

The start of our trip was wonderful. We were going to go to Denny's for breakfast before we got started on our drive. We ordered and then the waitress told us a Secret Santa was buying everyone in the restaurant breakfast. I have never had anything like that happen but it sure was nice thinking people still care and do nice things for people they have never met.

It was not a bad drive although Ken did have to stop several times for me to stretch. I did end up taking a muscle relaxer for the last 2 hours of the trip. It was better than I was expecting the drive to be with my back. It is still bothering me but manageable and NO spasms.

Ken's daughter did massive baking and cooking and I enjoyed every bite. I am so grateful that there was no scale in the bathroom because I would have gotten on it and ruined the rest of my holiday. I choose not to worry about any of that until I get home and then, I am going to get back to eating and exercising the way I have been doing for so long. Ken does not understand how hard it was for me to lose the weight I did and how important it is for me to keep it off. The real reason I want to start back to the gym is because I felt better physically and most importantly, mentally.

We will be traveling another 2 and a half hours today to go to where Ken lives. After the flood, he bought a camper. I guess you could say now I am going camping. I am looking forward to the peace and quiet. He does not have internet there. It really does not bother me because I love drinking my coffee on the Duck River. There is beautiful scenery there. I love sitting outside at night because you hear so many owls and wildlife. I crave that serenity.

I am looking forward to the new year and not because I like even numbers. There are so many things I hope to accomplish in 2024. It would be so nice to be settled somewhere. I am still not 100% sure where I want to go although I like Tennessee. Who knows what is in store for me?

Sounds like we all had a wonderful Christmas. Bring on 2024!!!!
