It is 46 degrees here but the wind is whipping around again. Not a bad thing because we have had so much rain the yard is mushy.

I just ate a huge orange. It was good but made me cold so I just fixed a bowl of apple cinnamon oatmeal. That is not a bad meal. I love things that warm my tummy. I must have been hungry because I saw a Farmer's Dog food commercial and thought. . . that looks pretty tasty.

Many things I should do today but none that I particularly want to do.

Good afternoon, Fran, Dale and Rat2

It's definitely miserable out there. Snowing and blowing. We lost power for about an hour. As soon as it came back on I cranked the heat, turned my blanket on and the power cool/freeze on the fridge in case it goes out again. That wind is nasty.

Boys left for the Buffalo Sabres game. I didn't want them too but it was a Christmas present for kiddo and they didn't postpone/cancel it. They did however decide to put a driving ban up that starts at 9pm. They will be home by then. :nun: They packed spare clothes, water/snacks just to be safe.

We got to Aldi's just after they opened and the store was packed. Lines for the two registers were almost to the back of the store. Left there and went to walmart for a couple other items we needed. I was super happy that we only spent $65 on groceries for the week and $17 of that was for tp.

Hope everyone is staying warm and having a nice day.

I am not sure I could handle all the cold and snow that most here do. I'm a Southern gal through and through. But I will admit, just the thought of getting some snow next week makes me giddy.

I went and laid down and Ken was worried I was getting sick. I'm not. I am just plain o'l tired for some reason. He came and told me he was going to the grocery store because he was going to fix me supper. Oh boy! Now that's what I'm talkin' about. Of course, it is only the 3rd time he has done that so it is nothing to brag about but nice all the same. Nice to hear someone in the kitchen other than me.

I know you will feel much better after your boys get home but I am sure they are having a wonderful time. Those are special times they are having and will always be remembered.

I am going to go jump in the shower. Well, maybe not jump.

Good evening ladies

They did indeed have a good time despite the loss and made it home safely. The wind had calmed down for awhile but it sounds like it's picked back up. But the power stayed on the rest of the day.

Yay!! Happy to hear you won't/didn't have to make dinner. Hope you had something delicious, Rat2. I made steak sandwiches with mushrooms and onions and then we had whatever chips/pretzels were in the pantry.

Brrr, Dale. 40 tomorrow, 28 on Monday and then 20/21 the next 3 Stay warm!!

Heading to bed. Sweet dreams

Yes, I am a bit more rested and I did have a nice supper. He fixed what he called goulash. Lots of beef, onion, peppers, tomatoes, and macaroni noodles. It was excellent on a cold night. I ate 2 big bowls. It was nice to see him clean the kitchen as he cooks instead of waiting until we're finished eating. That's how I do it

I did end up going back to a bar. That's getting a bit old for someone who does not drink. He wanted to see Miami lose. heehee They did have karaoke which I enjoyed. No impressive singers but glad there are people confident enough to get up in front of people. Me? No way. They will have to come to my shower.

It is another nice day here at 52 degrees with the sun shining and NO rain. YAY! Going to be a lazy day it appears.

Hope everyone has a pleasant and peaceful day.

but it also has veg-all and velveeta cheese and chili powder in it.
That sounds more like mine. I use the Mexican Velveeta. Ken's cooking is delicious but I like a little more kick.

I just ate a bowl of it and added the only shredded cheese I had and it was good. Now I am full but it is a little late to be taking a nap. But I could.

Good evening ladies

I'm so jealous of those temps, Rat2! Dale, we are at 13 and under a foot of snow. Spent the afternoon digging out my car, cleaning it off and shoveling the sidewalk while Dh snowblowed. It's still windy out so I'm sure it will be filled back in tomorrow and I think we are supposed to get more snow tonight.

Mmmmm, I love goulash! My version is ground beef, elbow noodles, sauce and mozz cheese. I do cook the beef with diced onion and mushrooms if we have them. Growing up it was just the beef, noodles and mozz.

As if yesterday wasn't crazy enough, my brother has an extra ticket to Buffalo's playoff game and asked if kiddo would be interested. How could I turn down what may be a once in a lifetime opportunity...ughhh. The three of us were supposed to go the Sabres game tomorrow. But we let kiddo choose and while he was slightly upset about missing the game as a family (awwww, I guess he does love me) he is so excited about the Bill's game. So we practiced layering him up tonight because he will have to do it alone tomorrow. The moved the Sabres game to noon, so people wouldn't miss the football game.

Hope everyone is staying warm! have a great night!

Good morning Dale

We are at a balmy 1

I’m anxious at the thought of him being there for around 8 hours. The only peace of mind is he will be with my brother and his wife. They are serious tailgaters and pros at this. We have all the layers and his heated hunting gear. Worst case they will tailgate in the truck before heading into the stadium. Sounds like they are having trouble clearing the snow from the seats as it’s still coming down. He will have a lot of fun, I just know it. :)

I’m dreading heading into the city for the hockey game. But we really can’t eat the cost of all 3 tickets.

Hope everyone has a great day!!
