I hope everyone had a nice Easter. We went to Perry's ex-wife's family dinner. They had an Easter egg hunt for the kids. They were so cute. My kiddos grew out of it fast and the only way they would look for them was if I put money in them.

They had smoked a ham and had all the fixin's. I ate way too much but enjoyed every bite. It is Monday, so I am back to trying to eat right. I did not make it to the gym today like I planned but I vacuumed the house so that should count for something. I know I was tired. I also got caught up on my laundry. It was only 3 loads. Not bad considering I did not do any at my house last week.

Ken's daughter texted me today and told me that Ken's father had passed away. She told me she would let me know when the service was going to be but I am not sure I want to drive 5 1/2 hours because long drives still bothers my knee and back of my leg. I will see how I feel later on in the week. I thought it was a bit weird that he passed 1 year and 2 days after Ken. Oh well, at least I am not having to pay for this one.

Got some meatloaf out of the freezer and fixed a potato and opened a jar of Perry's purple hulled peas. I really like them. I hope he cans some more this summer.

Hope everyone has a nice evening. I'm going to take some Benadryl and read my book.

Between the rain and my knee, there is no way I was going to drive 8 1/2 hours to Ken's dad's funeral. I sent cards. It seems the older you get, the more deaths you have to go through. I guess that is the way it should be.

I fixed a sirloin tip roast in the Instapot last night, and it turned out wonderful. Tonight, I made a sandwich off of it with cream cheese and it was just as tasty. It has been so long since I've had sourdough bread, and it is delicious. Of course, I have never discriminated any bread. I love them all.

    Good evening lurkers

Sorry for the loss of Ken's dad, Rat2. I would have sent cards also.

Had a nice staycation and Easter with family. First time in 10ish years that we didn't host and it was a nice change. Sounds like everyone here had a nice holiday. :)

Hope you all get the much needed rain. We've had lots of storms, wind and a couple tornado warnings over the last week. But it's warm, yahoooo!! I'll take it. Dh was out of town last week. So happy when he returned.

Have a great evening everyone
