Good evening Dale :wub:

I first read that as snow storm :laugh: and was a little confused. Glad you didn’t have tornadoes to deal with.

Joey, I’m sorry your summer schedule is starting Sunday. But it will be nice to have the truck paid off ahead of schedule!

Congrats, Retired! Enjoy your time off before the next adventure begins. I don’t blame you for not staying til the end.

Rat2, sorry to hear your knee is still bothering you. I’m taking the night off and just icing. I’ll get back on tomorrow. I started using MFP again to hold myself accountable. I did well all week until tonight. Spaghetti for dinner. The serving size of pasta is heinous. I wouldn’t even consider that to be an appetizer. So of course I loaded my plate. :blush: Enjoyed every last bite too. Tomorrow is a new day ;)

Off to read, I started a 30 day trial to kindle unlimited :facepalm: Like I need access to anymore books. Have a great night everyone!

    Hey Sara. :wub:
    You’re having knee trouble too? I’m sorry to hear that and hope the ice helps.

    I’ve had a kindle unlimited account for years now and definitely get my money’s worth ;).

    I don’t know that I would have more surgery either. Cataract removal terrifies me lol

    I have a phobia regarding anyone doing anything to my eyes. I do need cataract surgery and it's something I've been putting off for various reasons. I think I'll go ahead and get it done next summer during the school break on the condition that I'm given something that puts me out cold, or they give me something so good, I don't care what's going on. LOL This local anesthesia stuff? Nope nope nope. They'll have a patient on the table freaking out and heading straight for the deep end.

    Right? I love Kindle. During my military years, I dragged boxes and boxes of books with me around the world. Now I'm able to have all that and more at my fingertips just by pulling out my phone or tablet. The only issue I have is trying to obtain a book that's no longer in print. There are a few from years gone by that I'd love to read again, but because they're out of print, not available on Kindle. **sigh** And those copies I had in my possession years ago are no longer in my possession.

    Good morning everyone :wub:

    @Sara Love what is MFP?
    Good afternoon Joey. :wub: How’s it going with you? :)

    That’s a good question and my google search didn’t help me much …
    Short for multifunction peripheral, a single device that serves several functions, including printing.

    What is it with dealerships? (Should call 'em stealerships).

    There are times when Ford really ticks me off. The 2016-2017 model Explorers have had a trim issue (Both A pillar and B pillar) from almost day one. Last year they finally initiated a recall on the A pillar trim AFTER I had already purchased the replacement and installed it myself. Same with the B pillar trim. And they just announced a recall on the B pillar trim last week.

    Those plastic pieces are expensive as all get out, too. The driver's side B pillar trim piece cost me over $200 because if the fact it also houses the electronic combination strip that allows you to get into the vehicle without a key. Then you have to dismantle the entire door in order to run the wiring from that strip into the plug that's inside the door.

    And what really grinds my gears is two of the pieces I replaced are already showing signs of coming loose again. At least it'll be covered by the recalls.

    For Christmas, I got a set of really nice headlamp replacements for the other half's truck. And as she also wanted fog lights installed, got a set of those, too. Putting the headlights in was a pain. Had to take apart most of the front end of the truck. But dang, they look goooooooooood! Then I turned my attention to the fog lights. Pulling the inserts out of the bumper was easy, as was putting in the lamp housing. I started to look for a good route to run the wiring harness back into the cab of the truck when I noticed that there were connectors already in place. Hmmmm, does this mean Toyota uses the exact same wiring harness for ALL their Tacomas, regardless of option packages? YEP! Oh joy! I don't have to run a wiring harness! Get it all plugged up and point my attention to inside the truck. Pull the covers off the dash and yes, there's a plug for the switch.

    Jump on line and order a OEM switch from Toyota. I get an email from the dealership wanting the VIN for the truck. OK, fine, I give it to 'em. Then I get an email stating that this particular truck didn't come with fog lights and am I sure I want this part. GAH! YES I want the part otherwise I wouldn't have ordered the damned thing. I get another email asking if I'm sure. I jump in the car and go over to the dealership, ticked off as all get out as they're dragging on something that I had planned on finishing two days prior. Yes, I know the truck didn't have lights, but it does now and give me the [censored] part already. And while you're at it, I need a fog lamp relay. (Ended getting that one through O'Reilly Auto Parts as it would have taken a week to order the part in through Toyota).

    Working on vehicles used to be easier and getting parts usually didn't involve playing 20 questions with the parts department. And I'll be damned if I take my vehicles in to get 'em worked on as you never know if it'll be done correctly and cost you a small fortune.

    I considered the Kindle thing, but there are so many free books that I can get from BookBub and BookGorilla. I have over 1300 books waiting to be read on my phone. That will keep me quiet for a while. I do love reading and always have. I remember climbing the cherry tree with my book and reading and eating cherries. I couldn't climb a tree now, but thank goodness, I can still read.

    I can understand the phobia regarding messing with your eyes, but I honestly wish I could have done it years ago. I did not realize I was not seeing colors the way they should be. It is such an easy procedure. Only takes 8 minutes. Whatever they put in the IV makes you so that you don't know what is going on.

    Congrats on the new job. I can't wait to hear about how much you are enjoying it.

    @Sara Love what is MFP?
    I think it is the My Fitness Pal, an app to log progress. I am only 99.9% sure that is what it is.

    My eye doctor's appointment went well. I have 20/20 -2 in the first eye and 20/30 in the second. He says that one will also improve more. He told me I would not have to wear glasses unless I wanted to use them for reading. I have not had much of a problem so far but I am still keeping my fingers crossed.

    Now I wonder how long it will take for me to stop looking for my glasses when I get up to go to the bathroom.

    As an update on Perry, the doctor changed his water pills and also added the weight-loss injection. An easy self-shot in the tummy that does not hurt at all. He says he is feeling better, and he acts like it. I would love to be on the shot because he really has no appetite at all. He has to make himself eat. I would love that. He has already started losing.

    I am doing it the hard way but I did do great last week. I am determined to get off the weight I put on. I lost 4 lbs the first week and hope to lose 1-2 lbs the next several weeks. It is so hard to lose with thyroid issues but slow is good.
    Hope everyone has a nice and peaceful day. :wub:

    It better be good stuff
    It is. I think I remember seeing some beautiful colors. Next thing I know I'm getting off the table and into the wheelchair. I don't even remember when they pulled the monitors off my chest. I wish I slept that way at night.
