Hi ,
I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem. My unit is about 1 month old and every once in while using it i have noticed that I loose the ability to get vapor. Additionally I have noticed the volts reading on the LED screen has appeared when this happened. I also noticed the( -- )that appeared on a different occasion. This doesn't quite often but I find it annoying when things like this happen. That is the reason I purchased the Provari.

I contacted Provape and have been emailing back and forth but it takes hrs for them to respond and they aren't providing many options. They want me to send it back along with my tank and battery. Frankly I am disappointed that they don't a number that you can call and discuss.

I am vaping on a Russian 91% @ 1.8 OHM with the voltage set to 3.5 .

Has anyone experienced this issue? If so what was the fix other than returning the unit to them. Feeling rather annoyed at the moment.

Does this happen when sitting around the house? Or more often while driving around? I've noticed it on occasion, and what I'm suspecting is that I'm not holding the button securely, and actually "tapping" it, putting it into the menu options

As long as we're asking questions, here's one for the IBTanked/carto pros. :D

In the pic below, the red arrow is where the hole in the carto is. It's about a 1/4 to 1/3 up from the bottom of the tank. What would happen if I made another hole/cut at the yellow arrow closer to the bottom of the tank?

I've noticed the same thing when I'm "pulsing" a coil...and that's what's happened. I've hit the button 5x fast enough to get into the menus. A few self-directed expletives and I'm back in business.

Do you punch/slot your own cartos, or are you talking about adding another to an existing? If you add another, it would likely wick faster and more than likely flood. If you add your own when new, it likely won't hurt a thing.

I don't use a Russian so not sure whats up here. Sounds like a connection problem but bumping this so someone who knows can give you an answer.

I've got 3 of those setups and Angie is right...it's most likely a connection problem.

If you have an 'authentic' Russian (from Kebotech) there should be a bag of spare parts in the box. In there you will find 3 or 4 of the small black o-rings that sit on the connection pin where it makes contact with the center pin.

Unscrew the contact pin and add another o-ring to the post (there should already be one on there so now you'll have two). Screw the contact pin back into the center pin until the head of the contact pin is slightly above the base of the 510 connector that you thread into the provari.

The additional o-ring should keep the contact pin from moving around and fix your connection issues. If that doesn't work check your coil connections to the posts.

I did the "punch your own" thing for a little while, but that just wasn't my thing. I never had issues with hole placement in the IKV punch series...just couldn't get a new one to wick consistently to save my soul.

I seem to get kinda lucky with electronic devices. Had mine for over a year with no problems and they work great. :2cool:

I read up on the the 730 before buying. The reviews from buyers was atrocious but me being me figured that was their bad luck- the same thing wouldn't happen to me. Man was I so wrong. I'd be on a call & suddenly I hear dead air; even though the call was still connected. Dis/reconnecting the headset didn't work. The phone would need to be restarted.
Other times there'd be a screeched that would come thru the earpiece- I wouldn't wish that kind of inner ear pain on anyone. All you could do is ripped the damn things out your ear. It was akin to someone with a bull horn blasting in your eardrum.
I put up with it for 24 hrs. On the 25th hr it was back in it's box to be returned.

I have both, IKV Punch and S (Thanks, Tina!) No problems wicking just seems the hole on the Punch is kinda high in the IBT. The bottom of the slot in the S is a hair lower in the same type tank and both work well.

Have you cleaned the contacts? The reason the volts and other -- show up is because the button is being pushed more than 5 times in a row. If it was working fine when you got it, then the contacts need to be cleaned. There are instructions somewhere, maybe someone can chime in where they are.

Anyone care to enlighten me as to why there is so much ProVari bashing? One example is price. So many times I've read the ProVari is very expensive blah blah blah, while in the next thread I'm reading about another mod selling for significantly more without any mention of price. I don't get it. I feel one should purchase within a personal comfort zone and not a penny more. Why bash a mod because you can't afford it or don't feel comfortable spending it's asking price? It's a mystery to me.
