Realistically, I think that things here are sometimes taken too seriously. It is just an internet forum. You have to be an adult to use e-ciggs so you should be adult enough to hear certain language. I also think the rules here are a little goofy.

Having said that, I do see the point of view that if a new person came here at certain times, that they could be turned off by coming here at all..........ever again. I am not really in that camp myself. If the conversation wasn't as random as it is (going from serious talk about mods to risque talk to how Disney is offensive), I wouldn't find it interesting. We are a group of different individuals but everyone is greeted here with open arms regardless of what we discuss at different times.

When I first started coming here, there was the same postings about random things. Although I don't think the jokes went as far, they were still joking to a level that someone could possibly get offended. I think we are all friendly and familiar enough with each other that if anything I said offended someone........I would hope they would send me a PM. I am an adult (sometimes), you are all adults and for as much right as I have to say what I say; you have the right to say if it bothers you. I know that people don't always "get me". It is intentional. I enjoy coming up with things that walk the line or is crazy for the effect. Some of the "original" saloon go-ers don't come around as often or at all anymore and I don't know if that is just circumstance or that the recent talk has driven them away. If it is the talk that happens here......sorry. Say something if you are bothered. I just think that anything that someone says has the strong potential to offend someone else. Everyone is so easily offended these days anyway.

I have seen some things that I thought were over the top as well but I don't complain at all. Mainly because I don't care enough but you have no right to get mad about others complaining about you and turn around and complain about something someone else does.

Listen, DRUMMER.... I don't like that you have the Audacity, to enter this ProVarinati Saloon V3 thread, and be all smart and rational! This is not that kind of thread!!!

I should note - seeing my post again, it could cause confusion.
That "bottle" option does NOT fit a drip tip...it's a more direct, hotter draw (but I like it).

The bottle top is my favorite! I use the drip tip some--but most often put the bottle top on and vape away!

Like the trick with wrapping it around the legs. Thanks!

Although I think if I ever create my own atty, I'm going to use some kind of clamping mechanism, not the way all of these are done. But then it'll be for me and my friends, not for sale. The biggest issue is most connectors have solder in them somewhere, making them non-food safe. Not to mention the fact that solder does flow at the temperatures coils reach.

When I first built my KFL+ I kept looking for the holes to stuff the wire into though. That's the type of 'capture' I'm used to.

Some hobby shops carry thumb screws- so does McMaster Carr. Not sure if they would work or not but may be worth a shot.

HAHA!

When I did have a Facebook page, I actually tried to see how far I had to go to get people to "un-friend" me. It was easier than doing it myself. I found that it wasn't very far at all anymore.

I remember using these little tiny spring loaded capture guys on one project. They were great. You pushed the wire in and they held it. And they made some really tiny ones too. I keep thinking I'm going to see if I can find those again. They were like the size and shape of the blocks on the Kayfun. Little guys. Then you pushed a button on the side to get them to release. The biggest problem is I think they wren't rated very high. Like under 10A, but I could be wrong. This was something like 15 years ago.

Wonder if any of the peeps doing ME at school might be interested in playing with this stuff. It would make an awesome senior project or even masters thesis doohickey.

Yeah, I figured. You should have heard me when I learned to solder. Or maybe not. I went and hid while I was practicing that one. At least with coils you're not very likely to burn yourself.

And thank you again for your response! I did notice you. It's been really interesting, actually. Although it looks like it's going to fade for the longer thread. Oh well, I learned what I wanted to. Which is no, most of these juices aren't instantly deadly to the heavier and better built plastic tanks, like the Aspire or the Kayfun tanks. Just the older cheaper ones.

The M Tank is like $10 so keep an extra on hand, just in case.

Hmmm, steel tank, long poly tank AND ordered a backup quartz. It will probably be a piece of junk, but it was as cheap as plastic, so I decided to give it a try. Gambling is legal here so no one is going to climb up my back for possibly throwing away $5-10 on something that doesn't work.

And I'm still not putting something like Mad Murdock's into it. That's just silly. But the cheapie Fire and Ice I vape all the time, not gonna fret it. Besides, after I get used to how long a tank lasts, I'll probably use the steel. Right now I have no clue when the tank is getting low unless I can see it. :)

Although what I'm really thinking of getting next time I have some money is a carto tank for school. They're awfully nice looking. A little dress up for public. Especially when the ban goes into place. That's going to be fun. I'm not going to obey it, so ...

I saw a screen shot for the new Star Wars. I knew Disney was going to ruin it

Disney princess also teach girls that they must be a certain size, and dress a certain way to be beautiful. I also believe that some of them dress too provocatively.

And lest we forget that awful song from Frozen?

Something tells me I'm gald I didn't see Frozen. :D Howdy y'all! image.jpg

Sorry this is off-topic, but I felt this deserved to be shared :D

While performing my daily Rituale de ProVarinatus, I was rereading this thread posted by Ocelot greeting new members to the ProVarinati. Towards the bottom of the first post, she mentions something about reading the ProVape Rewards card upside down, and a name being revealed. With a laugh, and an air of disbelief, I performed the rite.

At first I saw nothing out of the ordinary. Then, with a negligible knowledge of the Greek alphabet, the word emerged: bolamdabe....Bolbe. I thought I had heard that before, so I did a google search and found this

Oh.My.God. I thought as a bounty of knowledge overtook me. A beautiful water goddess or nymph.

Perhaps that explains ProVape's choice of colors and logo which is not unlike a tidal wave. :D

That is just awesome!! :toast:

I gotta ask. So who, besides me, has been staring at their Rewards Card since the above post??

I ran across a bunch here at a hobby shop that sells a lot of arduino and basic stamp stuff.
I'll probably be in the neighborhood Friday to pick up a few things for a project. I'll check while I'm there.

Hi and welcome, did you bring the weapons as suggested?
