Well, until I try a dual, we don't know.

I really need groceries tomorrow, but maybe Friday I can experiment with the Aqua. You can pull the base anytime. Worst that can happen is it sucks, and I take it out.

Steve, you may suggest all the builds you want. I'm constantly experimenting. I would never be offended by someone suggesting anything :)

Roxy,

Have you tried the Titanium on your RX?

I built a 0.37 (was trying for 0.4 and missed a little) and it worked fine and the chip-set never complained about anything being over the recommend resistance.

Oh, someone PMed me and said I had to get it under 0.3 or it wouldn't work. Geez, I made 4 coils :( Then a fifth in kanthal when I quit.

Roxy,

You should give them a try I am sure it is like the DNA40 and most MODs they will take a higher resistance it just limits the output wattage. You may not be able to get 60 watts but who runs that hot anyway.

When I did what was supposed to be 0.4 ohms I never gave it a second thought and it locked in and just worked. However that was the first coil I stuck in my SX and of course I forgot to lock it in (I swore I would forget that but I did) and the first few firings it gave me the Dry Wick message until I did the dual button press and all was good.

Regards,
George

I guess that's what I get for listening to someone else. I just assumed he had already figured that out.

Roxy,

I would guess that they were just going by what the manual says and it does say 0.05 to 0.3 but mine at as close to 0.4 as I could fit in the build deck worked fine.

If you get a chance you should give one of your pre-made coils a try. I mean you have the wire and a premade coil and may be able to set the record straight for all those anxious to use Titanium.

Yeah, I'll redo it when the tank is empty then. Seeing as how the Erlk would be a pain to drain. I've never drained one, but I've never had to.
Well I said the same thing last week at 3 am but HolmanGT made me use a syringe to empty it and build a HUGE 3.2mm ni coil with like 13 wraps... It was worth it though... What a nic hit lol :)

BTW, the erlk starts running out of space with 12/13 wraps so whatever you do, try to keep it under that value (spaced of course) :)

You would have pretty darn high resistance with 12 wraps of titanium.

I don't use my ERLk too often mine is noisy, must be my power lung hits, but I find it to be the easiest to empty that I have. just open up the top fill port stick my blunt syringe in and suck that puppy empty.

Of course if you don't have a syringe the only way I know is to take it apart over the sink and watch all your favorite juice go down the drain.

PS - I have been known to do that over a coffee mug when desperate. ;)

It probably has something to do with the maximum power it can regulate or the max amps the board can handle when pushing to extremes like 50j, 600F etc

It seems not to be hard limited though.

Obviously just because it works with 0.4 doesn't mean it will work with 0.55 but the worst that can happen is the sx refusing to fire or limit the Max joules or similar I believe.

It was nickel.

My titanium is an alloy (ESG). Works well in normal mods but not in TC mods. My grade 1 titanium is somewhere between Germany and my house :)

Well that's not 30 gauge! 30 gauge should be 0.010. 0.016" would be 26 gauge. Someone somewhere is confused about what diameter equals what wire gauge. ;)

well whatever it is i got 6 rolls of it and i like it :D

EDIT : here is what they have 32 ga listed at
"25' roll - 32ga - Grade 1 CP Titanium
Wire Dia.: 0.013"

guess i'll buy at least 4 more rolls, that ought to hold me for awhile using 4 devices, now i'm wondering what the so called 32 ga really is?
