Look for UnkamenSupplies on etsy.com.

The only thing that concerns me about that wire is this:

You will need to tumble your creations after you make them. I use mixed shape steel shot and burnishing solution and tumble them for several days.

This is apparently to get rid of the "matte finish" and to make the wire shiny. I wish there was a place that sold Ti wire without this so-called "matte finish." (What is this finish, anyway?)

It's not a problem. The matte finish is from an acid pickling process. As long as the wire is washed it's fine!!

Sitting down, facing forward.
Now I know what I'm doing wrong...I'm not making my coils with a jewelry finish before I use them and cover them with carbon based gunk. No wonder they don't work quite right! I think the beer and schnitzel notes will improve if they start out shiny.

Both Zivipf (Germany) and stealthvape (uk) have shiny Ti.

well I have been making my coils with Crazy Wire and 5 wraps 3mm on STM always comes out close to .28. I made my first one with Unkamen same coil and came out at .26. Seems to taste really good. Not sure if it is better then CW but it is every bit as good. I suppose the resistance diff could be if it is actually 26awg and the CW is .? can't remember suposedly close to 26awg. It is a little stiffer the Unkamen that is but I like it.

Correct, CW's metric 0.4mm is actually 0.39mm, whereas Unkamen's is in American 26G which is 0.405mm. The resistance of CW's will therefore be slightly higher as it's fractionally thinner.

A quick tally of the sizes I can remember:
  1. ZiVipf: listed as 0.39, actually 0.39
  2. Crazy Wire: listed as 0.40, actually 0.39
  3. Stealth Vape: listed as 0.40, actually 0.40
  4. Unkamen: listed as 26G, actually 26G (measured to 0.40mm, I can't confirm it's precisely 0.405 so we'll assume it is)
  5. 3FVape "Titanium A1": listed as 26G, actually 0.34mm (roughly 27.5G)

PS. @ThunderDan sorry man I completely forgot about the wrong size when I told you I'd checked the 3FVape wire you'd bought from that US supplier :) Assuming you even bought the same 26G. It does vape well, just isn't the right size :) Hope that's going to be OK :)

Just an update. I recently got some of the .5mm (24g) wire from sweet spot and I gotta say I'm impressed. It was pricey at 30 bucks per 50 feet but cheaper than buying ten feet at a dollar per foot. It last me longer than a nickel build and seems to gunk up less. I have the sweet spot dna200 profile on my mod and I gotta say the temp control vape is astounding. I get such awesome vapor and it's super consistent. I am in love and I notice I get a clean flavor too. Easy to build with and doesn't snap. Get to do crazier builds and the wattage outputs without throttling down so quick with ni200. I notice it will hold its set wattage even 80 watts on a 10 wrap dual and then when temp limit it reached it will protect super quick. So instead of powering lower and lower as it comes to temp it actually holds the power and ramps down really quick only when the temp is reached. Hard to explain but I've never had this good of a temp experience. Loving it. Figured people would wanna know. Worth the money spent considering I can clean and re wick a few times. I clean by using a clean small wire brush while heating the wire to a temp of 450 degrees F.

Nope no BBQ flavor but I think it almost has a better vape and flavor then the crazy wire. I haven't gotten to the point of cleaning it yet but I built a coil of Crazy Wire and one of Unkamen. To get the flavor and vape the same I have had to go to 265F With the CW still at 260F with Unk and the Unk has a better flavor and more vape. Will know more when it gets to the point I need to clean and rewick. Very clean taste. Oh and it did have the same black stuff come off with an alcohol wipe as the CW does. Don't know if it is graphite also or what but no taste of anything.

I think I will recoil my fave flavor, this one is with my 2nd fave but I am getting better on my wicking with the Ti so want to rewick that particular STM any way so think I will just go ahead and recoil it too. I keep getting better with my wicking after about however long the SXM has been out and the STM. They are all I use anymore except for my SXS on my night stand. For me it doesn't get any better then that combo 9 STM's and 3 SXM's want to get one more SX but budget is not quite there yet I love them and the switch to Ti has made them even better even if I do use the NI200 mode. It has been fantastic and I keep getting my wicking more and more refined for Ti. Got the length down with the nickel but I can get a little more wick in the Ti without screwing up the coil and seems it takes a little more juice so that works out well.
