If Grade 2 has a different TCR than Grade 1 I'd like to know how. They are both the same material, just slightly different processing. The material conducts, not the processing, so the TCR of the material is what would seem to count. I'm not trying to be contentious, just trying to understand what/how there can/could be a difference in the TCR of the same material at the same purity level.
Me too.

I dont know what prof SS have, because i didn't ask them. They dont state its famous Ti Gr1, so they dont have anything to prove to me.
For me if they took effort to clean it(like they did) and make csv file, i think they have right to call it "vape wire".

Everyone has the right to be ripped off by vendors who are technically ignorant and willing to lie about the product they are overcharging for.

Folks who like Sweet Spots Grade 2 wire and have excess money to throw away have every right to do it. It's perfectly alright to overpay dishonest vendors as long as it's understood that is whats happening.

Does anyone have a link to a tutorial on titanium coil building? None I've seen show the pulsing and I want to make sure I'm doing it right before I vape on it. And Is Spaced or contact the preferred method?
I don't pulse at all for my initial wicking. I stuff the coil full of rayon and check it well after I juice it to make sure I have contact throughout the wire. I make sure there is no glow on my legs. I ramp up my power. I start very low in power mode after setting resistance then slowly ramp up then switch to Ti mode and usually end up at 450F on a .4ohm Ti coil. It makes no sense to me to pulse the wire before vaping it. The legs will glow. Something will glow. I just don't want to run the risk. I build a 16 wrap slightly spaced coil. The vape is incredible.

Pulsing to clean the coil is another story. It is difficult wire to clean. I pulse it at 6W in power mode and just barely get the wire to smoke then scrub the crap out of it and get it as clean as possible.

Why buy anything other than grade 1 wire? I don't get this discussion. Maybe I need to scroll back further. I use wire that I believe is quality wire from sources I believe are credible. Do your research and select your wire.

I have no idea why anyone would want to buy anything other than Grade 1 wire. Other things can be made to work but I personally won't support a dishonest supplier and certainly won't support him or her for being dishonest.

Wharfrat, believe me when i say, there is no discussion. Everyone will in the end buy what ever they want. I will pay extra for that cleanliness , somebody else wont. Simple as that. Everybody who watch video cant deny, that wire is clean .

If you are judging cleanliness by the difference between shiney and the grey matte surface of wires such as Unkamen you may be confusing yourself. The Unkamen wire is acid etched after drawing through the dies to eliminate lubricant that is entrapped in micro surface folds during wire drawing. It is grey because the surface from etching has micro roughness which causes it to reflect light differently than an unetched surface.

Any wire can be "clean" or dirty (residual organics). Surface roughness alone and the presence or absence of a grey matte appearance can have nothing to do with cleanliness or subsequent vape quality.

Horrible review, doesn't bother mentioning what the "white stuff" is. If you want to base your opinion from a dumb review like this, good luck!

I remember Marlboro commercials extolling the health benefits of their cigarettes which were more honest than this piece of trash propaganda. The more I see of that company the more offended I am. I really really hate companies who exploit the ignorance of their customers and potential customers.

Phil has no background to be able to know whether what he's being told is true or not. Unfortunately even though these folks BS has been exposed over and over they don't let the truth get in the way of continuing to spout technical gobledegook and overcharge their customers. Maybe someone will let Phil know he's being taken advantage of. I'm sure he doesn't intend to mislead anyone.

Agreed, but he likes to mention how much research he does, and is dropping the ball when it comes to learning more about wires, especially before making blind recommendations simply because he was sent some free wire. The attempt at providing TCR files is noble, and all wire makers should follow suit for transparency reasons even though those here know how to get a proper file off SteamEngine. New TC vapors most likely are ignorant of this, and watch his reviews and then buy this product.

I agree. It's unfortunate that Phil has sipped the kook aide.

I honestly don't care anymore.

Someone said that if a person is deceived once, it's the deceiver's fault. If the person is, however, deceived a second time, it's on the person.

You can bring a camel to a water source but you sure can't make it drink from it.

I have another five popular proverbs about this but I don't care anymore.

We might not know what long term exposure to Ti will bring on us but why content with anything lower than grade 1?

Heck, those guys using titanium nails (I have no idea for what but they call it "recreational activities") have all switched from grade 2 to grade 1 years ago because of TiO2 formation and some of us are trying to go the opposite way in vaping?

Cheers
Tony
