I'm running ESG's alloy in my ipv4 as I type this. For several hours now. It has yet to kick me out of temp mode, give me any errors, or get too hot. I even have it in here as a sleeper/continuous chain coil, and it appears to be reading it like a champ. Dual coil, chain of 30 gauge. No attitude associated with my reply, I'm just stating what is currently happening for my experience so far.
Have you done a dry wick test? Fire it for a while with a brand new, completely dry piece of cotton or rayon in the coil?

the omerta is prob the hardest build i ever tried/did.......

Tell me about it. I bet yours didnt have the post holes point in the wrong direction (ie straight back-fron instead of sideways as it should be - yes it is a clone). Ended up using the screw tops ...lol! Worked ok in the end but tricky!

So in the end, how's the vape from the omerta?

pretty tasty, vertical is the best way to go, but being myself i went horizontal with 30 ga nichrome80, if i remember 6 wraps dual on a 3/32 bit....it's a tough build but these kind of builds are challenging, the small deck gives a good flavor...one thing i really did not like are the off-set air-holes so your coils have to be placed just rite, i have mine on my Sig Mini.

bought this atty and built it w/5wraps (single coil) of 30ga G1 Ti on my 3/32 bit, 2 strands twisted in my ole trusty drill wicked w/rayon and was very surprised, a very warm and tasty vape on my IPV4....it shows .28 on the reading w/temp set at 340 @ 27 joules....apparently the small chamber really makes a difference at least imo....and it does NOT leak a drop...also used the far pos post to center my coil.

That looks like the venturi kayfun at angel cigs... I think they're like $4 or $5 there? (plus shipping)

Alright guys, I've literally read every single post in this thread, and I have a few questions:

1) Has anyone used ESG (e smokeguru) Ti wire? I've used it in regulated, mech, and am about 10 minutes from using it in my iPV4 in TC mode. I have had no ill effects, no oxidizing, and great flavor. If memory serves, his is 92% pure. Even in my mech I have not even had a dreaded dry hit.
2) Has anyone used Sweet Spot Vapors Ti wire? I received said Vapemail a few hours ago, but have not built with it just yet.
3) I also have used some 24 gauge pure "jewelry" titanium I ordered from Amazon. So far, the flavor isn't quite there with that one, but I'm experimenting with temp settings.
4) Why did I not find my fellow peoples of like mind until now!? Lol

Thanks!
As a treat, an image of my triple parallel 28 gauge ESG. View attachment 456432

1. I started with ESG alloy. It worked really well but didnt want to wait for shipping any more.
2. Gotta try SSV wire, do you know if it is surgical grade?
3. Also tried some Amazon TI wire, it was horrible-dirty as hell--industrial grade, wont do that again

So far Spider Silk titanium wire is what I have been plowing through: buddy and I went halves on a few pucks from Ebay. Works great on IPV4 but mostly use in on freakshow -great flavor- with fuhattan. The resistance seems to be even crazier with Spider Silk, dont know if it is because or the surgical grade or what.

Be careful with what you stick in your atty. @Duckle is the man to confirm this but only grades 1 to 4 are pure unalloyed titanium. Beta alloys or alike can have very nasty stuff in it which you certainly don't want to have leaching in your vape.

The main difference between the first 4 grades is oxygen content which also dictates the amount of titanium dioxide produced during temperature peaks. A grade 2 titanium coil will build up much more TiO2 than a grade 1 coil.

if your gonna go w/RingLord stick with grade#1...just my :2c:

hey Phone Guy, have you wrapped that Omerta yet, come on man do-it :D
No, I've been pulling out my last 4 hairs on my head playing with temp control lately. Today I received a sx mini s class to play with (it has no TC) and using kanthal for the first time in days, and there is no comparison for me. The heat and flavor of kanthal is superior to Ti or ni200 using TC. I wrapped a ni200 & kanthal (28g ni200 on 30g kanthal) and the TC still works which is neat, and the vape is better, but still not as good as straight kanthal (to me anyway). I saw a video of vape outlaw (?) showing off that twist (ni200 and kanthal)

I may just take a step away from TC for a while and try the omerta with kanthal, and just go back to kanthal period for a while because I'm so utterly disappointed in TC I can't even express it in words :(

yea i know what you mean when i want that good hit i pull out the Sig100, but the T.C. is a good thing imo and it's gonna take some practice to get it rite, once we figure out the learning curve i believe it will be just as good or better (hit/heat wise)...that's one of the reasons i been trying many different RDA's/wire and settings, the Mountian King has given me the hardest hit so far w/T.C. so that tells me that smaller chambered atty's might just be the ticket for peeps who want just a bit more, i wouldn't jump ship just yet.

edit: one more thing to add imo your never gonna get the satisfaction from a Tank type atty Vape w/T.C. compared to an RDA w/T.C. (if your lookin for that just a bit more)....:2c:

I took your advice and built to omerta. Kanthal, 0.6 ohms, dual 3mm 28g vertical Coils, this thing was hard to build and pinch the Coils... Even harder to wick. But I got it going. Plenty of air for me, not a cloud machine but intense flavor. The small chamber and domed cap and I may have over wicked it a little so I was drinking the juice too.... Then I realized a couple drops on top, 2-3 hits and re-drip. :D

that's a fine looking job, if you can build that you can build any RDA out there!
Pinching those Coils was a female dog! That's why they are slightly angled, it was the only way I could compress them.

I really like the dual airflow. From the top when you don't want that Insanely open draw, or from the sides and blow clouds. But seriously I was dripping like every 3 puffs. That's annoying. I'm used to tanks. ;)

I got that from angel cigs, super super cheap. That IMHO is a pretty decent little dripper. I'm sure there's a better way to wick it to hold more juice but I had to romance that cotton in there :D

that's the way it is drip about 4 to 5 drops at a time in that small atty......get an RDA with a deep well and it's a bit different, i took one of my Tobh's and turned it up-side down with the air-holes way-up top & leave your coil legs a bit longer and pull the coil up to match the holes, wick that bad-boy and slap the chuff-top on and it will hold 25 drops or so, there's a will there is a way my bro.....

i always use Rayon in most atty's especially the ones that are harder to wick cause it lasts longer and has a higher burn point, plus Cotton turns to mush after a couple of days......when i first use fresh Rayon i take several pulls that i do not inhale to sorta mellow it out..... then it tastes just fine...
