For me it was a nearly seamless transition :). Which is good because I'm just not very tech savvy anymore. I had a little learning curve, mostly with temp settings because my first ti experiments were with using ti in ni mapping. I'm soooo happy now to have ti mapping.

Thanks roxy and QM! Guess it's safe to try the YIHI chip now. Just wanted to make sure....

Got kanger plus sub ohm's rba deck all setup with titanium wire.

Sure is a great vape.... probably the best yet.

Now hoping it is relatively safe to vape.
Safety is in the eye of the beholder. How safe is kanthal or nickel anyway?

I have no trouble sleeping at night regarding Ti...

... Unless it's the toxic fumes that knock me out! :D

You guys are using titanium wire???!? You should read the article on the Stealth Vape webs... Just kidding. ;)

Read all 89 pages (after the rayon thread it was a breeze). Had been thinking about trying it before, but a) the Mini M solved TC for me and nickel worked very well, and b) I didn't want to guestimate temps. But now with the Ti firmware I switched 3 days ago. First coil tasted funky, and yeah, the wire I got was from Zipipv indeed. Cleaned it, made a spaced coil, 26g, no pulsing, just fill & vape.

It could be self deception, but I'd swear it tastes crisper and cleaner than Ni200.

One thing: I'm trying to find an old discussion I read back when a company put TiO2 in some juice and everyone freaked out. One guy however who works or worked in a plant that produces a lot of TiO2 showed a Google map pic: the hole terrain where he worked was white as snow. Yet nobody ever gets or got sick beyond "normal" stats. Not saying it is harmless, and I personally will avoid dull/white/grey too, but if something weird would happen to your coil, it doesn't have to mean you should freak out. Nothing cast in stone yet obviously, but to me Ti1 looks very safe and works very well; together with rayon I'm getting a fantastic vape, so thanks for the wealth of info in this thread!

Found the thread (it's in Dutch). Guy didn't work there, but the factory was a customer of his. The company is called Tronox (website), situated in the Rotterdam harbor area. The workers were/are allowed to work without masks compliant with Dutch safety laws. This is the picture I was talking about.

Again, don't shoot me if the info isn't 100% correct, but I'm pretty sure it's not a hoax. The discussion was sparked by the Unicorn Milk situation.

Small particles of asbestos, fiberglass, silica, dust and just about any insoluble material can also cause lung irritation and the increased risk of cancer. The key is not to breathe small particles of anything if possible. The best we can do is make sure the quantity of small particles we breathe is low. (Arizona dust storms aren't great for anyone's lungs) :(

Neither is working in a tissue factory... breathing in airborne paper dust over 220ish shifts per year, on top of over 20 years of smoking... I'd hate to see the inside of my lungs. lol :p

My family in Alabama smoked and worked in cotton mills and weaving mills - same not good problem.

Duane mentioned silica inhalation there is even a name for the damage that causes to the lungs and it is silicatosis and it can be lethal. Anyone up for a game of beach volleyball. :w00t:

The worst my allergies have ever gotten to me was a 2 week trip to Arizona during November. The sand knocking all that moss and lichen off the desert rocks was killing me. My aunt even gave me some Prednisone she had lying around lol.

Needless to say, I did a lot of mouth breathing and quite a bit of exhaling menthol vapor directly through my nostrils.

I spend half my life on the beach and we have that very very fine sand (millions of years old) but not powdery.

I think I should worry about melanoma before worrying about my beach sand [emoji14]

I think there is a beach somewhere in Bulgaria (or was it Romania?) that had so fine sand it was powder like? Honestly can't remember where it was.

I think your beach sand is several hundred times too big to worry about. Nano is pretty small

The biggest problem probably is that the sand gets in your shorts. :)

Yeah although there could be a nano particle out there... Residue of a shrimp sneezing for example. [emoji14]

Boy I miss my Island. Going to pack stuff and head there tomorrow.

Now where did I put the sun protection? :D

How do you keep others away from the island? Trained man eating dolphins?

Tony,

For you and me obviously something like playing volleyball on the beach is the least of our concerns considering how physically active we both are.

But laying in the sun drinking beer and wine... well that is something both of us probably have down to a science so your concern about Melanoma is probably more important to us. PS - That stuff "Melanoma" is some really, really bad stuff if not caught early. How did we get on this topic. Oh if you think skin cancer is a problem where you live you should lookup the typical UV index in Saint George, UT @ 4000 feet above sea level.

I think my UV index is always 10 here... What's the scale anyway? 0 - 100?

No ,don't tell me, I don't want to know.

Yeah, but you don't have beaches or islands George. Without water Utah Sun and Arizona Sun pretty much assure short exposure in the summer. When was the last time you laid out in the sun in Utah? OH...there is that trickle of water down the Colorado river not too far away....Maybe you hike the Canyon?
