Just got my Ti from 3FVape in China.

I have to say my first impressions are that I'm extremely impressed!

  • It comes in a protective plastic case. Not something I'll use, but a nice touch.
  • The spool has a little tab on it, around which you can wrap the wire to prevent it from coming loose and de-spooling.
    • Not seen that before and it's very welcome
    • Actually although I've not seen this tab before, I have seen spools before that had anti-unspooling features.
    • The Ni200 spools I got from Stealth vape have a little magnet, to which the wire sticks and therefore can't break away and unspool - you can just leave the wire loose and it still stays there.
    • I was surprised to see that their Titanium spools didn't have it, until I realised Titanium isn't magnetic!
    • The magnet makes sure the wire can never come loose - but at the cost of making it slower to spool out wire when you do want it. This little tab on the Chinese spools aren't an absolute guarantee - and of course you have to remember to wrap it tight around the tab - but they don't slow down spooling. I think overall I prefer the tab, not that there's a choice with Titanium anyway.
  • But most impressive, and surprising - the wire is absolutely perfectly clean!
    • This is the first time I've had Titanium that's clean.
    • Zivipf is dirty as we know. Crazy Wire had a small amount of graphite on it, and so did my Stealth vape spools (though @TheotherSteveS says his are clean, so this might vary by batch)
    • So I am super impressed that a $5 spool from China is the first I've seen with no oil, no graphite, no nothing!
Anyway, so far very good on these Chinese spools - these could be a winner for non-UK people at $5 with free shipping. But of course I haven't actually vaped yet, let alone tested the TCR, and the proof of the pudding is in the eating! But so far, very good indeed.

Spool, one wrap of wire, and unmarked IPA-soaked paper towel:

The little tab on the spool - a small but welcome feature:

Screw the TCR, the big question is how does it do in your patented springiness test?!?!?!?!?!!? Lol!

Good point! And another win!

8.3% spring factor - 0.25mm on a 3.0mm coil; identical to Stealth Vape and fractionally better than Crazy Wire's 10%!

I'll do a full "group test" with all these wires when I get my Unkamen in a few days.

One issue though - it's quite far from 26G. I measure it as 0.34mm, which is about 27.5G. I'll check the resistance later and double check its exacxt thickness that way.

I think 3F listed a 24G, I should have got that too. I will in my next order. Maybe 24G is actually 26G.

Just built my first ti coil. 26awg 2.5mm in my stm sitting on my sxm. Got it set to ni200 mode and capping at 20j @ 300f. It's not hitting the temp but vaping good. It's topping out at about 275-280.

Let it cool down for a while and try locking in the resiatnce again. I found this helps if the STM isnt quite getting to temp! Good luck :)

@TheBloke Thank you for your service!! I only have 30 and 32 ga from Unkamen, and thinking of getting some 26 to play with. Awaiting your review!

Of course. It's comparing apples and oranges. My point was that the vape can feel very different depending on the build!
Yeah I was just giving you a bad time. My experiment going back to NI200 made me decide I will stick with the springiness of the Ti the flavor with the nickel was pretty much equal to my 1 month old Ti coils but it was a little harsher and warmer which I don't care for and I love the way they clean up.

I have noticed that on my SXM's with the Ti on Ni mode 275 is perfect at 13J. Holds TC everybit as well as Ni at 390. I really like this stuff. The CW cleans up so nice too nice shiny gold color. Think I'll stick to this. Just the flavor, heat and vapor production that I like and seem to last like Kanthal used to. Best of both worlds.

That is crazy, I ordered the same stuff from Vape Mesh and got it in the States in a week and a half. Didn't have the fancy lableling it was written with a felt pen but it was fast.

That must have been it

Mine was delayed for the snazzy lables ;)

Good job I was in no hurry and only bought it to send out with my flasks and sharks

Gotta spread the Titanium love annit :D

Ni200 is dead, Ti (and NiFe30) is the future and the future is now...;)

just build my first Ti coil, took "accidently" the 28G and tried to do a single coil. Ended up at .75 ohms which is a bit very high :D

At what temperatures are you guys vaping your Ti coils? I have my Grade 1 from Fasttech. Tried to rub it with alcohol before wicking but it was cleeeeean - at least I did not see anything on the tissue.

Lol! Still a lot of wraps to get up there! Anyway, what mod you using? If its in Ni-mode then start at, say 290-300F and work up until you get a nice vape. If you have one that supposrts Ti, I would still start low, say 380F and work up to the best temp.
