Just noticed the juice channel mod in the middle pic. How many more watts are you able to get out of that STmini vs. Unmodded ones? Nice coil symmetry on the 5wrap spaced build btw.

It was more about wicking keeping up for me, have only ran them at max 30w

They are ideal for work where I have to chain vape for a few minutes when I get a chance

Ran the 10 wrap for a day and wicking kept up ok running that at 55w but pulled it as was too hot for my liking

It was listed as Grade 1. In fact, I didn't browse or search for it. I clicked on a link someone posted either on this thread or a thread on the DNA Early Adopters Forum(don't quite recall). After cleaning with alcohol, how will I be able to tell if its Grade 1 or 2? lol
pic? I have some FT 26g Ti Gr1 and its fine. Its greay and not shiny because it is acid pickled. Nothing to worry about. If it has brown spots or whatever, that is dirt that should wipe off. Its not rust. Rust is iron oxide, Ti oxide is not brown - almost every other colour, but not brown!

Only 17w @Quantum Mech ? Is it a tootle puffer kind of tank with smaller airflow or can it flow as much as your STminis?

at 17w its mouth watering flavour :thumb:

can go higher but that starts to drop off imo over 25w

the wicking keeps up ok, at least as good as a modded subtank

air flow is much less though

I must try this @cigatron 6 wrap in my SXK SQRs as well. There is a kanthal build in my SQRs now and flavor just bursts from it at 20W. So that's 6 wraps of Ti on 2.5mm? Spaced?

You guys stop that! There's no such thing as a cigatron 6 wrap....lol

24g Ti GR1 6 spaced wraps on a 6-32 screw. Comes out to about 2.8mm. I like the dia:length aspect ratio for this gauge wire for higher power vaping but if works a treat for 17-20w who am I to judge?

Ah thanks for the info about ti oxide not being brown. Didn't think about it. Here's some pics

Yikes! That's the dirtiest Ti I've ever seen. Be sure to clean all that China off there before using it. Hard to tell where those tiny little hands have been.

Vlad why don't you try the V2 RBA heads for the STM they work great. I changed all my STM's over to that. Their new air flows kinda suck the latest is a 3 setting wide open, go counterclockwise to the middle position which is now tighter, then the super tight. To get the same air as the model before this one on the middle setting you need to set it so that it gets some air from the wide open and the small hole. Don't know why they changed it I thought the dual air flow the way it was was perfect. Then I saved the V1's for spares just in case. The worst about them is the set screw that holds the chimney is so tiny if you lost it on the floor it would be gone for ever.

I am looking for the old discussion on Sweet Spot Vaper's bogus claims about their Ti wire. I know we had a couple of metallurgists on this forum who debunked their claims but I cannot find the specific posts. I believe druckle is a metallurgist and there was another guy too who used to post here (but haven't seen him in a while).
