Now I understand the LED leg concept from the pics, provides connection and allows juice to flow. What stops the needle from falling out? What about soldering the legs to the outside of the tubing? that way it is permanent.

the legs are soldered through the hole connector. and i dont want the needle to be fixed. say i wanna use a cartomizer i can switch to an 18G longer needle!! my camera run out of batteries lemme take another picture. here they are!

Ok I get it now, the LED legs hold the tube in place by pinching causeing a connection and stopping it from falling out. Simple concept. I like that you can change out to use smaller dia tubing.

Here is a nice resource for stainless steel tubing:

it'd be cool if we could have some sort of a ring going around the pill fob with a hole going through it and the pill fobs body and as we twisted it it would open and close so that we could regulate the flow.

Well a carto Silicon cover would work on the pill fob I have, it's only 12mm thick :)

Thanks for those pics also D, as I get the LED leg sizing part too. I thought before that the square leg's corners were much tighter inside the round needle. It's clear now.

Also a longer needle for cartos isn't really needed, as all the air comes in the bottom of the carto via the 2 notches. Get the needle in the way and it stiffens the draw (like the 18G, and why I like it) or blocks it from airflow completely (as in a 16G, not having been 'fixed').

Still, having some play in needle height is good to help control the flow.

As for the ring, I like it, but it does need to be airtight, IMO. A silicone carto cap tube would be good for Dan's, for the 1/2" HF fob, how about clear vinyl tubing? It would add a filling port, juice window, and possible airflow source. I'm not quite set to drill in the side of my 2 as they are set too low in the devices, There's either no room and/or too close to the threads.

Personally, I'm liking Dan's needle mounting design mixed with my control valve connector, and somehow a 16G needle.

i still need to try it with a cartomizer and really wanna see how it'll work with the new E2 ceramic. cos the small HF pillfob only holds 2.3/2.5ml max. if you add the 1ml that the cartomizer holds it'll last a whole day...

Heck my CVS fob holds 5ml, and I vaped for 4 hours last night on it and still going strong, used about 2ml last night in 4 hours :)

Hmmmm have been thinging, the CVS fob is about the size of a 14500 battery, can you say AFS box mod :p

Hey MisterD, Just for you :)

Hi all...I musta got lost somewhere reading off my phone! Need a brief recap please.

Breifly... :)

I jumped in and designed this:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/96580-tube-juice-feeding-21.html#post1805143

Then I built it and did a vid review here:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/96580-tube-juice-feeding-24.html#post1817672

Asdaq and Mr D continued to develope, and Mr D clarified the "LED Legs" in the above posts. Either design seems to work well. I like the positive fixed tubing I used, but I like the ability to be able to swap needle sized as Mr D pointed out by his design.

All in all it works great.
Get all that?

Yeah, pretty much Dan did all the work, even modded MisterD's avatar:p

I got a bit of shopping done, wow..

Looking closer at the 16G, it's a nice fit for an atty and a larger connector centerpost. For cartos and the smaller connector the 18G fits better.

So how about the carto connector in the bottom as Dan has, but notch the carto connector, run a spring the entire length soldered at the bottom, and slip in unsoldered 16 or 18G needles that get crimped a bit by the notch? Continuity would be there and switching needles would be a breeze.

Hey Dan, am I correct in my understanding that you like these?:D

Your 5ml is a bit too thin and certainly long for my taste, lol, but that fatty is going to be hard to build into a mod that is ermm, pocketable.

Spot on work though, any changes in the engineering of this one?

Only change was not using the shoulder and running a staight line up. I made the top atty connector slightly off center so the needle tube is always touching the side of the battery connector. Other than that the design is the same one I made. Yes I am liking these, 6 hours of vaping now with out having to refill!! Not sure how much of my 5ml is left in there LOL
