I ordered mine on Monday the 17 and got it Saturday the 22nd. It stayed in that "Dispatch" mode for 3 days. Then it changed to arrived at the sorting facility in New York and I got it the next day and I'm in North Carolina. Don't believe those updates. I think they're inaccurate. Yours might have a day delay because of the holiday but I'll bet you'll get it either tomorrow or Thursday.

Ok that makes me feel a lot better!

Opened my Vamo from Vapor Alley this morning. Good vape. Buttons a little tight, can lock up if pressed in too much.

The Efest flattop 18650 doesn't seem to make contact if the unit is jostled. I am going to order some Panasonic 18650 IMR's with a button top from Orbtronics.

Overall for the price it is a great vape and a fun gadget.

From Discount Vapers, though they call it the Vision. Not positive on the V1 and V2, but based on other people's posting I think it is a V1. My batteries would jiggle around in the tube and lose connection. Very irritating. So I added a layer of scotch tape around the battery and put it back in, still loose. Added another layer of tape and checked, nice and snug. The battery no longer moves around and I do not lose connection.

Gun metal V2 from Vapor Bank. Remembers wattage on battery change and no "6 watt bug" (as far as I can tell). The spring was long enough but shockingly week. A 18650 (button or flat-top) would lose connection if jostled with sufficient force. I replaced the spring with one from a Roughstack I had lying around and it's been rock-solid ever since. The unit has a gasket around the top pin and there's no sign of degradation to the finish after a week of use. So far, it's been the 2nd best $ I've spent on hardware in my, almost, two years of vaping. I love this thing!

I got mine from Vermillion River E-Juice (they don't sell them on their site, they happen to be my local e-cig shop, lucky me). It is a V2 from Smoktech, chrome with metal buttons, the spring is still too short for the AW IMR 18650's but it does remember the volt/watt settings when you change the battery. I am going to order the Helix spring from Avidvaper and see if that changes my battery issue. I haven't seen anyone post any confirmation that this spring will work but the Silver Bullet hotsprings from Alt Smoke is out of stock and the rattling is driving me crazy. I already stretched the spring a little and it has help but it isn't perfect yet.

Just checking in. Received my Vamo from VaporBreak last week. It was on sale right after Thanksgiving for 26bucks inculding batteries and charger. I do not have much faith that the batteries will last very long. The Vamo is solid and has good weight. All the functions work as advertised. I set mine for RMS 7.5 watts and am using a 3.0 Boge in a M&P tank. For some reason neither of my ViVi Novas register on the device? The Vamo shows 9.9 ohms and I checked that the connectors on the ViVi's were located correctly. Probably need some kind of extender. Not a big deal because the ViVi work well on other devices.

I got my stainless steel VAMO from Health Cabin today. For reasons I don't at all understand Health Cabin has chosen to sell the VAMO under the name, eGo Bamboo APV V2. Searching for "VAMO" on their site turns up no results.

The VAMO remembers wattage when the battery(s) are changed. I was a wee bit disappointed that the stainless steel version is only a quarter of an ounce lighter than the chrome version. I was hoping it would be a little lighter.
Stainless steel - 4 3/8 oz./125 gr.
Chrome - 4 5/8 oz./131 gr.

The stainless version came with metal buttons with a brushed finish. They appear to be solid metal rather than plated but only time will tell for sure. I prefer the feel of the silicone buttons on my chrome VAMO. The buttons are solid with no rattling on either of my versions and both have correct clickiness to the buttons. My stainless VAMO also came with a black faux suede pouch.

The sturdier, larger diameter spring was installed on my stainless VAMO. It was not just added as an extra to the order the way it has been shipped for some people who ordered the chrome version earlier.

If I shake either of my VAMOs super hard I can produce a very slight "thunk" sound with the newer spring but the 18650 battery does not disconnect the way it did reliably with the wimpy, long spring on my chrome version. I use the Silver Bullet/Omega hot spring on my chrome VAMO and you can shake the bejeebers out of it and the 18650 remains dead silent and stays connected. That spring is made from heavier gauge wire and is longer than the VAMO spring.

This picture shows the difference between the wimpy "improved" longer spring, the hot spring and the spring that shipped with my stainless steel version.

They've always called it the eGo APV. They had a contest to rename it and Bamboo got the most votes. The Vamo has a few different names with different vendors. I don't know who called it the Vamo, but that one has proved the most popular with users.
Glad you got your new ss Vamo. :)
My black chrome came with the pouch too.
Nice write up peraspera.

For some reason my 2 effest imr 18350 batts are to long for my vamo.
1 18650 works fine, so does 1 18350. But when I try to put 2 in they are too long. :(

Several people have reported that they can not get the end cap screwed on all the way using two button top 18350s even with the wimpy spring. I can screw my cap on all the way when using two flat top 18350 Efest batteries even when I'm using the Silver Bullet/Omega hot spring which is made from heavier gauge wire and is longer than the latest version of the VAMO spring.

Yeah, I'm one of those people. I don't understand what the hell the problems is. :(

I got the chrome and black chrome Vamo v2 (I refuse to call it the Bamboo) from HealthCabin. No wattage reset on battery change, came with wimpy springs but changed to the sturdier springs that came with the order. No rattle when shaken lightly with the sturdier springs.

I don't know what the 6 watt bug is, but I've have no problems vaping at 6 watts, if that's what it is. Being using both with RMS. I really like it and been thinking of getting the SS version also.

Also, I've only been using only button top batteries due to some problems with flat tops on the v1 version: 1 18650, 1 18350 configurations. Have not tried stacking 2 18350, but don't think I ever will.

Have had them for about two weeks now, and I really, really like them.

I'm having some serious trouble understanding where to order from. I would love to get a SS/V2 for a good price, and I don't want to wait a month to have it shipped. It seems that a lot of sites have copy and pasted their description from a wholesaler, saying things about small springs and stacking batteries and rattling that don't seem to add up to what SOME people have received. So I guess, who has ordered most recently and received a SS/V2 with no rattling, metal buttons, and all the bells and whistles I'm looking for?
