Vaping in Public places indoor. Do you do it?

I've pretty much cut out vaping indoors in public. I get turned down a majority of the time when I ask, or get yelled at by the proprietor if I don't ask first. I don't mind nor make a fuss about it. Can go without my nicotine for a bit. I also don't tend to make a show of it by blowing massive clouds around and keep it stealthy.

Exceptions are the dive bars, where they don't care (though they did think I was actually smoking the last time and hollered at me) and while I'm outside or driving around.

Get interesting looks with the provari + extension + AGA-T. Most people here automatically assume its illegal paraphernalia. This place is flooded with yuppies, hippies, heads and whatever others there are.

I vape at work in the kitchen all the time, everyone else hates me for it but just because they all still smoke analogs and have to go outside. I also tend to just do it all over and all ive gotten were questions, and turned a few fellow students off of cigarettes to vaping from doing so. I say do it that way people that smoke will say "hey if i get an ecig i can use it inside" and hopefully stop more people from hurting themselves so badly.

If I want to invite a conversation about e-cigarettes with a smoker ...
I just make I contact, blow a Huge vapor cloud, then Smile.
That usually does the trick !!

I vape everywhere. In stores (but not if I'm around kids or the toy section), restaurants, out and about on my tadpole trike, in movie theaters. I always expect the cops to pull me over when I'm riding, my pv is a Lavatube 2.0 and admittedly looks more like something to smoke dope with...hell, I've vaped it right in front of them and still nothing! I've only had 3 experiences where someone said anything in 3 years. Only one was negative. I simply explained what my e cig was, that it was harmless, and that there are no laws against using it in public. That's done the trick.

Meahwhile, I had my parrot tested for nicotine. I chain vapee within 8' of her cage all day for 2 years. If there is anything in the air, the respiratory system of a bird will pick it up at a much higher efficiency than any other animal. The only pollutants in her blood or tissue were certain chemicals from the traffic in my neighborhood. No nicotine or, for that matter, any other component of a cigarette. The traffic outside pollutes the air in my home worse than my vaping. Cost me several hundred dollars to find that fact out, so I'm gonna use it.

I am happy to hear this, my girlfriend will be too because she was really worried about me vaping with her rose breasted cockatiel so close by, I told her not to worry and that the exhaust from traffic outside is worse than anything I'm exhaling. Who would have guessed that I was right!

It's just funny because she was a rescue from a drug bust where people used to smoke (OTHER STUFF) and caugh all day, so whenever she sees me exhale the vapor, she caughs! Funniest damn bird I've ever met...

I will vape everywhere, until someone asks or tells me to stop. Though I did have someone tell me to stop "smoking" inside once, And I said "I haven't smoked for like 20 days, thnks for the encouragement!" And kept vaping... I think I had someone giving me dirty looks about it at a movie theatre a couple weeks ago, but they never told me to stop.

I vaped in line at the bank last week. They made a big fuss out of it. Truth is I made this big cloud inadvertently...
The unattractive woman at the counter yelled at me "you can't do that in here, that stuff smells like narguila and its forbidden!"
The whole bank turned to me and my wife, and we became very small! we played it cool but it was very embarrassing LOL
The thing is, she knew exactly what is was, and kept on talking about electronic cigarettes and how the stuff was deadlier than the real thing to everybody around...
a real vaper's nightmare...

well me and my girlfriend were at a local giant eagle.and we were getting stuff to make homemade
tiramisu.i was vaping but it was stealthy..well we went up to do self checkout..and i took a couple puff because there was no one around me checking out.all was good,until one of the younger (maybe 25)girl that worked there came over and said you cant smoke in here.so told here that it was vapor and i showed here my provari,well she went off on me saying that its no diffrent then the real thing,she went on for like 2 min. and the only thing said is that the way your talking to me is causing a lot more problems then me taking a hit of my ecig,so i got here name a reported her to the manager on duty at the time and i showed her my ecig and she loved the idea and said she had no problem if i did it as long as i wasn't making customers feel uncomfortable..so as i left the store i made sure that i took a nice drag,so she could she how much vapor the provari can really produce..lol

I was vaping in the Tampa airport main terminal waiting for my boyfriends flight to get in the other night. No issues or questions, but I wasn't blowing huge plumes either. Have also vaped while grocery shopping and at Wallgreens. No one has said a thing.

I've vaped in the mall a couple of times but that's it so far. Once I did it right in front of a mall security officer without realizing, but he didn't even look twice at me. Next time I go to the movies I'll definitely be vaping in the theater. I used to always leave mid-movie for a smoke. Thankfully those days are gone!

Went to see doctor today and asked reception if I could use my vaporizer while waiting. Her response (said with almost no concern), "it's not smoke right?" I said no. She said sure. Then when in room with doctor, I told him about it and he asked for demonstration. A few minutes later, I asked (just to be sure), if he had any issue with me doing it with him in same room. He said, 'of course not. Go right ahead.'

Honestly, if that's permissible, it's tough to understand why another place on the planet would have huge issue with someone vaping in their establishment.

Still, I'm likely to ask and now going to avoid the word 'cigarette' or 'eCig' when I do my asking.

It's only tough to understand because any other stance would make no sense.
But that doesn't mean for one small second that making no sense is a dead art in this world.

The Sharp Hospitals here where I live won't let me vape there.
And neither will about 60% of the establishments that I frequent.

Granted, I live in California, where the Nanny State is often seen as progressive instead of destructive.
I guess there are good reasons to live in Wisconsin.

The internet is progressive.
Smart phones are progressive.
DVD is progressive.

Nanny State is a horrific plague upon mankind.

I vape in public all the time. At the store, in school, heck even in front row in class I can be found blissfully taking notes and puffing away and the only attention I have gotten were inquiries from smokers as to what I was puffing on and whether or not it worked. I've vaped on planes, busses, in other people's cars, in gas stations (not while pumping, though) even during jury duty. Not once have I gotten a negative remark, or have been asked to stop or leave. I did, however get a few nasty looks at an airport in Dallas, but I chock that up to my experiences with prominent rudeness in the area.

To answer your question specifically, I have only vaped in California at Ft Irwin, and Barstow. Every day after work, I would walk into IN-N-OUT burger, and wait in line to order my daily Double-Double while vaping away. I haven't had any problems thusfar.

I forgot to add that I do, however, ask those around me if they have any objections to my vaping while in a small area such as a plane, elevator or crowded building.

DFW airport is awful. the security guards are all rude wannabe rent-a-cops

The main problem with convincing my husband is that he believes any study done that proves vaping isn't harmful is funded by e-cig companies or people who support vaping. He's convinced that the FDA is the only unbiased opinion out there and as you may know, the FDA hasn't been very kind to vaping.

So the thing with the parrot? biased. The cardiologist on the vaping show? biased. And the studies that show second-hand vapor is less harmful than second-hand smoke don't prove that it's completely harmless, only less so. Until the FDA releases better studies, I don't think he'll believe that second-hand vapor isn't an issue.
