Vaping is definetely worse than smoking. No more vaping for me.

Is smoking approved by the FDA? I'm sorry if I missed that!

I smell a Troll!

BTW, I know 2 friends that have died from smoking cigs in the last 5 years. I'll take my chances with the vaping alternative.

Hell, who knows, if I live long enough, I may die from falling off of my boat while fishing?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ROTFLMAO! If nothing else, I got a few good laughs from this thread. I LOVED the prayer about punching people in the face over TCP/IP. I'm in IT (computer/networking geek) and the guys at work will love that one. Reminds me of my USENET days. And it IS a classic troll thread. The troll left early and everyone else carried on for page after page.

I have never had any of these symptons when I stopped smoking for a week or more. So my conclusion is that the only thing that could be hurting my throath and lungs is the e-cig.

Really? The ONLY thing? Couldn't be a cold? Couldn't be a virus?

I don't know what you're suffering from. It could be as simple as the fact that most e-smokers experience an adjustment period when first vaping, including sore throats and coughing.

But to say that the e-cig is the ONLY thing that could be causing it, is ridiculous.

Poloarid--you are probably sensitive to PG like some others report who then switched to VG and had no issues. But if its not for you--then so be it. Sorry it did not work out---------Sun

I doubt that. Possible, but my understanding is that PG allergy is a pretty harsh effect, something that would be immediatly obvious on the first puff, not something that would creep up after a few days of use.

And how can you be sure that e-cigs are not as bad? Has it been tested?
You guys are missing the point here, these products are manufactured in china and god knows what they do in those factories.

Do you think that if someone dies from an e-cig the factory in China will be sued? This will never happen. We have no warranty that these products are safe, the only INDICATION that it is safe is from the companies that sell them.

Stop acting like little children and grow up and FACE THE FACTS. The FDA is created to regulate food and drugs. They need way more than a petition to approve something. THEY NEED SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCES that these products are actually safe. And please, don't show those amateur toxicology tests from New Zealand because they are BS and not reliable.

I definitely want to quit, but my days of vaping are over.

Racist fear mongering. OMG! THAY"RE MADE IN CHINA!!! Them slant-eyes are out to kill us all!!!!!!!!

And Yes, more scientific testing needs to be done. But who the hell are you to dismiss ANY scientific study as "ameturish?" I suppose you can back that up with a real critique of the methodological errors?

Didn't think so.

If PG is considered safe for inhalation by lung transplant patients (Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. - Journal of Aerosol Medicine - 20(4):417) I think we'll be fine.

So what research have you done? Are you a doctor?
Are YOU? Where's your research?

At least I will live longer than you. Keep breathing the vapor of your e-liquid manufactured in China and good look with that.

You are the one with no self control. Just stopping smoking.
I did. One year ago. Using e-cigs.

If you were my 21-year-old child, I would beat you within an inch of your life for ever having smoked a cigarette, much less an electronic one.

Jeezuz. I can understand us old farts taking up this thing after 15 or 30 years, but I do not understand kids.

Quit it all, child, while your lungs are still relatively pink and healthy.

Tallulah--Very well stated. Back in my day they were peddling "lght' cigarettes and telling us they where safer. With all the information out there now only an idiot would start smoking now---our generation got scammed outright. As for these kids, there is no excuse----Sun

polaroid, I am sorry you had problems, vaping is not for everyone.

I have been vaping since June 2008 and I hae not had any of the problems that some of you people seem to blame on e-cigs.

All of you having problems, you need to go to a doctor and stop blaming e-cigs for your sicknesses, real or imaginary.

PS My big toe hurts and I know its from vaping what do I do? Should I quit vaping. huh huh huh . Tell me quick before my other big toe starts hurting.
