Look at this car adapter: Amazon.com: BIRUGEAR Metalic Black 2-Port USB Car Charger Adapter 2A output for Cell Phone, Smartphone, iPhone, Tablet, MP3 Players, Ebooks, e-Reader: Electronics it's a little less expensive and charges at 2 amps, which means that it will provide enough current for the internal charger of the VS dna to charge efectively, I know some devices won't really charge from a 1a adapter.

As far as the external battery pack, just plug in the mag cable that will come with your VS dna directly into it, you won't need anything else. I have that very same power bank, I posted the link a few pages back. It's a shame that Amazon raised the price of it, since I got it a few weeks back for $15 with free shipping.

If it uses the evolve usb charging board (for the usb version vs. magnetic) it is limited to 500mah...
Yep, I've seen no difference in the speed at which it charges no matter whether it's plugged into a "standard" (500 mA) USB port or one capable of 2 A. That's why I said, "Pretty much any USB power source will work".

I'm in the same boat with everyone else who Pre-Ordered and am fine with waiting the extra two weeks. I wonder how many folks ask for a refund though.

I can live with the wait, my childish impatience is taking a hit but thats my problem. I just question how they will get it fixed fully this quickly. I hope they have a full proof solution that completely solves the problem and we dont end up being the guinea pigs for the next iteration that really solves the problem.

Thanks for the info Gonzi,

I will be ordering soon so I can keep my VS charged when I get it.
Thanks again

Hey bud,
Didnt know you had one of these on order. I dont have a problem waiting either. No worse than waiting for a FT order. LOL Except we are waiting for a real device. I have been buying small diam drippers to fit on this VS. I think the best so far is the Atomic Dripper, it rocks.

Yes, I've become aware of that since then. But put the same topper on an MVP vs. a DNA 20, set both to the same power level, and they do vape differently. At one point, I thought the difference might be airflow, but I've since gotten some toppers that do not pull air from the 510 connection (an Aerotank and an Igo-L) and there's still a difference. One of these days I'm going to get my hands on a 501 "Break out" connector so I can put a 'scope on it myself to see what actually causes that difference.

There is a huge difference, at least that's what I perceived. My KFL+ on the MVP2 @ 11watts is very good, but at the same 11watts on my friends DNA20, noticeably more intense as far as flavor, vapor and response time goes. I would say my MVP at 11w feels like the DNA at 9W for whatever that's worth. ;)

I watched a interview with Brandon from evolv where he said that they over power the dna boards slightly to adjust for devices with poor conductivity. If I remember right he said it would actually do something like 35 watts on a device with good conductivity. VPLive episode #96 http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MChU9f0hxVk

Well, couldn't resist any longer so just ordered mine today. I was pretty set on a Hana Modz mini, but I recently switched to a Vicious Ant Cyclone AFC, so figured it would look nicer on the VS. Counting the days til I retire my mechanical ;)

I can't wait for mine either, but I don't think I'll get rid of my mechs. VS DNA will look amazing with a Cyclone!!!

Same here, I'll always have mechs

I only own a V2 Smok Magneto as far as mechanicals go, so I was planning on just using it exclusively for testing and maintenance of my coils. No intention of buying another mechanical unless there is a noticeable change in performance, which to me, I've never really been able to tell (unless it was a really cheap one, then I could feel it was underpowered, even though the battery was the same)
