no real help... but, both my subtank full and mini work without any adjustments or issues. (i've only used them with OCC tho).
BTW- I have the same born on date

not sure what needs to be done, but, it can be done. I'd try pulling out the pin a little bit.(or pushing from the inside out)

Ok here's a new one. I just bought a gently used rdna40 looks pristine and seems to function well. It has the large screen born on date is 12/3/2014. Tried all my devices on it. All RDA's work fine but none of my kanger sub tanks work. They all report check atomizer. I checked and cleaned the pins they all protrude slightly but even the big one with the spring loaded pin that sticks way out doesn't work. I put the 22mm beauty ring on that came with the big sub tank and voilà they all make connection with that installed. Has anyone else had this problem with the sub tanks? Other than this I love the VS. The rubberized coating and large screen an form factor are awesome!

Not really any way to pull the pin on the standard subtank. I'll just leave the beauty ring on it. It doesn't look bad and I like that I won't be scratching the finish near the 510 with my atty's I was surprised with the born on date that i have that it had the large screen and upon further inspection it also had celsius. Even my vapor flask doesn't have that.

neon....the unit I sent back was from the very first batch.

Alxx and freedogg what build date were your first units? Judging from your previous posts I'm assuming 1/16-1/20?
I'm waiting for a family member to give it to me when they visit overseas and I'm worried to death I have to deal with the RMA process while I'm not in US. It was delivered on 1/27 and received on 2/4 and seems theres a bad batch from 1/16 to today. :(

Alxx....mine has only done the flashing once and I pulled the batt. This unit has a mind of it's own!!

I don't live far from Brandon/Evolv, might just take a ride and show them my "possessed" unit!!

My screen would flash as soon as I pressed the button. Then the screen would return and act normal. It would keep doing that until it went into sleep mode. They it would act normal for awhile, just like the screen scrambling issue. Has your flashing been the same?

Um I didn't notice these prices on Vaporsharks site before ... some real deals here ...

Small screen rDNA40 now $149.99

Original lipo DNA30 (not rDNA) $69.99

Also new I think ...

rDNA40 Case Replacement Service $39.99

I saw it earlier today. The DNA30 was $49.99 but they changed it to $69.99. I just picked up a used DNA30 with a dead battery off the classifieds for $50 so I feel a bit better now

Both of mine have acted up in the first 24 hours can you find someone to test it out for you? If not how about a vape shop near your family member. Maybe someone could suggest a quality shop near them. I'd get it tested while your exchange options are easier.

I might have my friend test it out for me for a day or two but he's only got cartomizer/clearomizer setups. Do the errors happen on regular mode or does it only occur in temp mode?

I've only used mine in temp mode with nickel coils in rta's or rda's. I'm not sure if anyone has had any issues in regular mode.

Well, I discovered a huge problem with my VS today that I was not expecting. I can't seem to put the damn thing down! It's become a permanent fixture in my hand. Problem is my Vaporflask DNA40 is a permanent fixture in my other hand. Now I don't have a free hand for my beer!

If you can you get a beer to rest in the curve of the flask, and you've got big enough hands, you might be able to work it out.

I doubt many people around here have hands as big as BlueridgeDog's hands. A person with fairly large hands might be able stack it with a normal flask if they're into other libations though.

Let me start off by saying that I have been astounded by my rDNA 40 for the last month and half. Absolutely love it, couldn't imagine life without it. I thought that I was safe since I hadn't experienced any of the screen glitch, ohm problems, etc. that others have had... but sadly, I was not. Two weeks ago I was in the car coming back from a trip to visit my parents, vaping away as usual. I took a few puffs, put my mod back into my pocket, and when I pulled it back out 20 minutes later the fire button was stuck. And I really mean STUCK IN THERE GOOD. Now this wouldn't have felt like the end of the world if my DNA 30 back home were still in working order, but sadly a drunken new years eve meant I somehow stripped out the 510 connector while trying to change from an RDA to a tank... I hadn't sent it in yet because I was strapped for cash and had just received my rDNA so I figured why bother until I had the expendable income. When I got home I slapped a Nautilus mini onto an old iTaste VV and instantly felt like there was no way I would be able to survive the process of sending my DNAs in for diagnostics. It's true that once you experience dripping with Nickel builds it's hard to go back to anything else!

The following Monday I called up Vapor Shark and spoke with Victor. He said they'd send me a return shipping label and take care of it. I asked if it would be alright if I sent in my DNA 30 as well, as long as I paid for the diagnostic service for them to fix it. He said that'd be fine and bumped up the postage to reflect the extra weight it would add to the package. So I boxed up my mods and prayed that the postal service wouldn't screw up and lose the package. They made it there safe and sound (I know because I was checking on the tracking three or four times a day lol) and then the real wait began. This past Tuesday I received a tracking number in my email and called just to check and see if they were actually done since the number wasn't live yet. I was told that they replaced the whole DNA 40 board and the PCB board that houses the fire button on my rDNA. For the DNA 30 I'd asked them to replace the 510 as well as the battery and USB port just to make sure it was in tip top shape again. They replaced all three and didn't charge extra for the other two like it says they will on the website. I was also informed that my package was definitely shipping that day even though the tracking number hadn't gone live yet. Today I checked on the tracking while out and about and found that it had been delivered even though USPS was estimating it would be here on Monday. So I'm finally set back up with both my DNAs in perfect working order and couldn't be happier!

Long story short, I've read about both positive and negative experiences that others have had with Vapor Shark's customer service in the past. The positive have always seemed to outweigh the negative, and I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a fantastically positive experience with them.

My rDNA 40 is starting to do a strange thing. I don't think I've seen anyone report this, but it's not putting out very many watts off and on. Set to 30w when I fire it it'll hover around 2watts. It'll put out a really wispy thin vapor like a mech does when the batt is dying. If I take out the battery and put it back in its back to normal. I thought it was lack of juice and the temp limit was kicking in - not the case. I thought it was because I'm doing macro coils, but I did a spaced coil today, and - not the case. Maybe it's because I'm using titanium? Current setup is a .3 ohm spaced coil at 30 watts set to 300F which should be around 450F with titanium. Also I put my Tugboat on it yesterday with a kanthal build at .5 ohms. It did not ask me if it was a new coil and it was seeing it as a temp coil. Strange!

Anyone seen this one? Unit won't fire! Pulling the battery does NOT reset! Any ideas for a fix?

Edit: found it, scroll down to 1W, continue to hold button down, takes you to a serial number screen, take your finger off and your back to normal...........unless your buttons stuck!
