Wow! That is awesome! What does the essence look and taste like after four filters like this? I expect the filters themselves absorb a lot of liquid.

I used the slow cooker method and I used #400 mesh to filter. I ran it thru the mesh 4 times. The results are astounding. I suppose the $25 cigar didn't hurt the process either. :)

I did do Kurt's PTE method about a month ago and I'm just now getting around to playing w mixing the "thickness". It is really good.

It took me over a year to find juice I love, NETs. I started DIY a couple weeks after I discovered NETs and I haven't purchased juice in months.

hi kwalka
does the cigar extract clog your attys as fast as extracts made from pipe tobacco ?
seems the sugar levels should be lower .I think the sugar clogs the attys and not particles.
any ideas to remove sugar ? without hurting the taste ?
good idea to use 400 mesh !! rolf

I am getting serious wick clogging at the coil site with all my juices. Hard to say if 1 is doing more than another. Every 2 days I flip my wick over, because its clogging at the coil site. So Im going thru a wick every 4 days. After I flip it once and 2 days passes I toss the wick. This is with mesh.
I am using the steel cable and it never clogs. The stuff is incredible and is going to be the death of mesh, IMO. No clogging at all. I hava a few gennys that have had the cable in them for weeks and I haven't removed the cable cuz its as good as day 2. They take about 36 hrs to fully saturate.

The 400 mesh filter was BJ43's idea. :)

Here it is. This is better than mesh. It cuts w a cheap pair of very small bolt cutters ($6 at Ace). You cut it to length and torch it. Thats it. It takes all of 5 mins to install a wick. Some peeps are wrapping 1 or 2 layers of mesh at the coil site only. I don't do that. It actually seems to store juice as well as wick it. It takes about 24 hrs before its fully saturated, but its quite use-able as soon as its installed. It does come in diff diameters for diff wick holes, and it can be held in a U shape and torched while held like that and it retains the U shape quite nicely.

Kwalka - just to check...the comment "this is better than mesh" refers to the 2mm or have you also tried the 3/32 or 1/8?

lol... just noticed... ebay has this listed under "vitamins and minerals"

Better than mesh. I have been using the cable for a few weeks. Ive been using mesh for at least 6 months. So that statement is my opinion saying the cable is much quicker and easier to work with, lasts longer, and performs at least as good if not better. So I foresee it over taking mesh as the wick of choice.

I do have a couple diff sizes. I also wrap w mesh if I need to make up a mm or so in width. I dont remember off the top of my head what sizes I have.

hi kwalka
just got the rope in feet of ss t316....7by 19 25 feet for 10 bucks .
also looking for my cable cutter found a roll of my old rope it is a little thicker and not as flexebel ..used it in a aga t
even that works fine .ithe thread cover is not the answer now it looks like the coil is on the bare rope wit a liitle build up and even vapes better now .the thread I used was from cheesecloth. maybe cig paper ? also have some ribbon kanthal coming
the buildup is less now but I will still experimenting with it . washing the gunk of the coil is not so successful either .
thanks again for the ro pe tip.........rolf ....rope is 25 feet
