Yes, Tamiflu. I use the teabag to make tea. You can do this and still use the bag, as its made of nylon, so it is still fine after using it for its intended purpose.

I then clear the tea out of the bag, rinse and dry, squash flat, pull apart at the seams. You will then have 1 long piece of mesh, about 2" x 1"
Cut it in half, making 2 1" x 1" pieces. Take 1 and roll it thin and kind of tight. then fold in half so you have a folded tube with the fold at the bottom and 2 rolled ends on top.

Place it in the cart and trim the rolled ends so that they are JUST under the lip of the cart. Fill cart with juice, and vape on! After a day or 2 you can take the roll out with tweezers and run it under hot water to clear out any dried or sticky juice. Dry with a tisse and place it back in your cart. They seem to last a LONG time...

Hi, it's my first posting. But, I had an idea after reading this thread. I had an idea to use an all-natural material-like wool or hemp, so I conducted a google and came up with this idea. Sounds like the perfect filling material and I priced it at about $10 shipped for an 18" x 45" swath, which would last a long time. It is called Warm and Safe quilt batting, which is naturally flame ......ant. Made from eucalyptus fiber. The fiber has a high silica content making the fire ......ant properties built in from the start. Warm & Safe will not melt, flow or emit toxic gases when exposed to heat and flame. Since Warm & Safe's fire ......ant is inherent, it is non-toxic, non allergenic and chemical free. I am sure you could pull it apart to the perfect density. This being said, I haven't even attempted to put new filling in, since I haven't had my ecig all that long.

The only thing I've tried is poly batting from Joann's Fabric. Got a lifetime supply for $6.
It seems to work very well. Re-stuffing a cart is pretty simple and it sure works wonders freshening up the vaping.
I tried a few different ways to stuff the carts for my DSE901 and found a method that works better than the "stock" packing.
I cut the batting to twice the length I need, roll it into a loose rope then fold it in half. Before I insert the batting into the cart I place 5 drops of fluid in the empty cart then insert the new batting. Now comes a few more drops of fluid. I then draw the new batting out almost all the way from the cart (with bent- nosed tweezers, not a paper clip) and insert a coffee stirrer down the side of the cart (a mod from opusMorian here on the forum). The capacity of the cart is greatly improved and the throat hit is awesome. Really increases the amount of vapor and the cart lasts a long time.

Edlogic, I use a DSE-901 cartridge in my SD also...

aha - now next question
how many drops does it take to top off when you need to do that ?

i found that with my 510 - after the first few top offs that take about 5 drops - then after that i have to top off much more often and each top off only takes about 2 or 3 drops - it seems that it is not wicking up very much of the juice before it acts like it needs topping again - so i am having to top it off quite often

now with the 901 - i can vape for a long time and so far after 3 or 4 days - it still takes 7 or 8 drops each time i top it off - so the 901 is wicking up much more juice between top offs

i thought the 510 was the best - because of all the good reveiws etc but i have to say that i like the 901 better now - just because it vapes more consistently for a longer time between top offs

I'm trying a coffee filter right now also but with the straw mod.....omg! its working great.

I just tried using a coffee filter, I cut a strip, rolled it tight, then unravaled it a bit until I could stuff it in the cart without it smashing. Cut it right to the top of the cart. My dad gave me a puzzled look as to why I was stuffing a coffee filter in my e-cig. Then I fit about 20 drops into it. I'm using 510 carts btw. With the regular filling, I can only get 14 drops till it pools, and usually use a syringe to fill. This filled up just by dropping. It's flowing the liquid great, and not leaking! I really want to try out those hemp tea bags now. I hate the polyfill because it always gets strings in my atty.

i am getting some triangle teabags today -
and i will update after i try them
gotta make some tea first

turns out - we had the triangle tea bags already and i did not know it -
so i drank my tea and followed the procedure DrSarcasmo outlined here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...r-favorite-cartridge-filler-9.html#post409351

and i didn't think it would work nearly as well as it does .
woah - great googly moogly at the vapor clouds from my 510
so much that i had to put it down for a while after only about 5 hits

ok since it works so well with the 510 - next i will use it for the 901

thanks again DrSarcasmo

i think i might do a video review and show peeps how well it works and i will give credit to the the sarcasmic doctor for getting me to try it

I'm looking for something natural to use too. I'll give it a try. The poly fills and nylons plastics kind of concern me too. I'm going to give hemp rope a try.

My favorite so far is dripping directly on the atomizer. it's less hassle then dealing with filters and with more VG in the mix, I get a good 10 or so hits before redripping. of course I have to clean out my atomizer more often.

foghorn, when I start rebuilding my old carts, I'm going to try the more natural stuff, too. I very much dislike the idea of having polyfill and plastic going into my lungs. Of course, I'm sure all the analog cigarette smoking in the past have caused way more damage than this would! Also, I have done the modification with the little straw in my existing carts with amazing results. I am able to get 14-16 drops into my cart when I top them up. I am using an 801 from bestecig. It works wonderfullly.

does straw wick well? seems like it would run alot. id like to give it a shot. People also seem to have good results with wool. Ill have to try that next.

Others here could probably answer your question. I just don't know. The hemp rope is probably the best choice, but I haven't tried that either. But, I will have to go with something that is not so tedious, as I don't want to fold and cut little bitty stuff and have to mess with it. The teabag thing will not be one of my choices, as I fear it would require changing up a lot. It is nice to be able to compare notes with others. This forum has helped me alot. The tips I got here have really increased my enjoyment of the vapors.

I find that when i can get new carts for my 801,901 and smokingeverywhere gold for about 50cents each (blank, non filled) why waste my time trying to re-stuff my carts just to find out nothing works as well as the original!!!! I got 50 carts for my 801 and 50 carts for my 902 for $23 with shipping and they will last me a long time!

I'm with you on this edlogic! :) The good Dr. showed me the way too! ;)

I've heard and read all the PET arguments, (and still observe the carts closely at fills, refills & top ups) ... but consider it an acceptable risk for me, considering all visual evidence that my own eyes have seen, taste that I have personally experienced and draw and vapor that I feel is the way our PV's were meant to vape... like a dream. ;)

To each their own though! :)

Anyway.. I'm all for a Video Review of the Pyramid Tea Bags! Can't Wait! :) (Which is what got me started with this whole quoting, posting thing today any way.)

I had been using the same filler that came with my carts for about a month now and after starting to get headaches recently I had wondered how safe it was to continue heating and reheating plastic carts.
I tried some coffee filter for filler and i havnt had issues since.
Are there Carts that are made of non-plastic material just out of curiosity?
I was a pretty heavy analog smoker and am still somewhat concerned about the fact that im heating and reheating plastic everytime i Vape.
