im pretty sure the shamwow was a joke :/
whats that thing even made out of?
whats that thing even made out of?
I'm with you on this edlogic! The good Dr. showed me the way too!
I've heard and read all the PET arguments, (and still observe the carts closely at fills, refills & top ups) ... but consider it an acceptable risk for me, considering all visual evidence that my own eyes have seen, taste that I have personally experienced and draw and vapor that I feel is the way our PV's were meant to vape... like a dream.![]()
To each their own though!
Anyway.. I'm all for a Video Review of the Pyramid Tea Bags! Can't Wait!(Which is what got me started with this whole quoting, posting thing today any way.)
![]()
next i will try using the whole tea bag - 2 inch by 1 inch and fold it up
i tried it on my 510 and 901
i think it works better to use the whole nylon pyramid triangle tea bag
edlogic and other connoisseurs of the PTB you need to check this one out!
Great PTB video here:
(I do the PTB method for my 510 carts in a very similar way to this video.)![]()
Found something new today. Cut little fillers from an unused Shamwow .. Holds lots of juice.
i do it just about the same - but i just tear the seams apart and i fold it instead of rolling it
it works very well
In the walmart textile section there is a special batting textile i found. (crib HL batting)
It looks like polyfill but works much better.
Now, if you go to the textile section you will see large fabric rolls , and there is a white textile that looks identical to poly fill but for CRIBS.
It's the perfect thickness textile and can be rolled to fill the carts.
Now add a drop of water onto this polyfill type and you will see the water get absorbed immediately.
I think this stuff is used for Baby Cribs...its softer, and affords more airflow, and is not water repelent...
So if any of you guys have been using the normal poly fill ...try this stuff.
I use poly fill which is what Fluval is made of (Fluval is easier to use, possibly better). I use about 80 to 85% of what a new cart contains and get excellent results. For all the FLUVAL users. Do you find it better to use less than more?
I just and I mean just bought the FluVal and love it. I can finally drain a cart. No mess and it pushes against the atty where the original filler gets shaped by the atty and stops making contact.
Thanks so much for the info. Again you guys are great.

Ok i will try the sham wow.
I had excluded it from trying because it would be too absorbent and reluctant to distribute liquid.
I did find something today which is better than the net product i had posted earlier this week. (although the new works really well).

Walmart sells low loft, high loft poly fills in bags.
These are no good.
I mean they work ok ...but merely ok.
Try the following to see why they do not work that well.
Grab either poly fill and add a few drops of water on the surface.
You will see that both of these walmart poly fills are quite hydrophobic.
To a certain extent they repel water.
This is why the straw mod exists, to aid in filling the cart with all these polyfill materials.
