I feel like one of the younger guys on here. At 22, I've been smoking a pack a day for 3 and a half years and I love smoking. 2 years ago I got badgered and bought one of those $200 kits from the mall. It was gross, more expensive than smoking, and I felt stupid. I know better now.

I started for a few reasons. My lung capacity is garbage, and I miss being able to be the runner I was a few years ago. My teeth are a gross color as are my fingers. I hate the inconvenience of going into a smoking cell at an airport and coming out 5 minutes later smelling like I inhaled a carton. It's expensive. And I hate being shot down for dates because I smoke. So here I am trying again to get off of traditional cigarettes and at the same time gain a new hobby.

To quit analogs. I first tried vaping in 2009 and quit analogs for a few months. Then went to vaping some and smoking some. Then went back to smoking, but at a greatly reduced rate. After two or three price increases this year and the fact that I was coughing every morning, I decided to try again. With all the improvements in hardware, vaping was a whole new experience this time. I haven't been off analogs very long, but I've only missed them a couple of times. Vaping is great! I still get to enjoy the "ritual" aspects of smoking and take "smoke" breaks at work to get away for a bit, but I'm no longer putting nasty smoke in my lungs.

My mother lived with smoking caused COPD for a few years. The day she died, they were unable to proceed with diagnosing what was wrong because her COPD kept flaring up every time they tried to move her to imaging. I made the decision to quit smoking then and there. Took me about two weeks to find the right combination of equipment and juice, but haven't had a cigarette in about 2 1/2 months.

Kytrix - well, you are younger than me, but let me just say, I WISH I quit when I was 22.
Good for you for trying to quit, and getting back to running :)

Pretty much as everyone has said above. Better health, being around longer, saving money... I tried vaping a while ago with one of those mall bought setups... didn't work for me. Tried patches... no luck. Hell even tried hypnosis... still the same. Finally bought an eGo T setup and haven't looked back. Just recently upgraded to a Zmax v2 with an artemas tank. Just awesome!!!

Just noticed too that I like many of you guys started with the Ego, so yeah I plug them all the time and many of my contacts are doing the same.
So to anyone out there thinking about it, give it a go and just remember it is a little different to the real thing and there is in my opinion a small learning curve.
Best of luck

The main reason I started vaping in the beginning was because I was sick of the morning cough. Better smelling clothes, good breath was just a bonus for me. Ahhhhhhhh feels like yesterday when I was expecting my V4L care pakeage to come in the mail. I spent as much $ on that as I would've on a carton of cigs(which would last 6 7 maybe 8 days depending on the mood I was in) as for the care pakeage well it lasted me I think a a month and a half. Bottom line is that It saves you everything and then some. Life or Death you choose

The main reason was that my brother had a baby and he had always told me he did not like the smell he even bought me Allan Carr's book long time ago. We all stay together - its a joint family Indian thing.

Here in India - It is a practice for the mother to be, to go and stay with her mother for the first delivery, so my sis in law will be back home soon, and i wanted to spend time with my nephew without exposing him to second hand smoke or the smell.

It has helped me at office too, I found myself talking in a much higher volume, and with much more confidence because i was not worried of offending my colleagues with the smell ( which they visibly detested ) Every time they came into my cabin i could sense their discomfort and some of them actually coughed - when i came back right after puffing on two analogues.

I am very happy with vaping and have converted a few others to start vaping, I give them all the gyan i can this is to both smokers as well as those who don't ( also printed some plain e-cig cards - will upgrade the design soon) cause i want to increase the spaces where i can vape without being sneered at

- and also more space ( to vape) to all vapers over the world - cheers

I loved smoking too, just as you wrote. But it was smelly, expensive and I realised that it causes a lot of diseases...
I don't have kids yet.
I bought ecig and some fine flavoured liqudis and I thought: What an experience!! It is not smelly nor expensive so much. After long weeks & months I noticed that I am happier, healthy, etc.

It is nice to read such success, thanks for posting and vape on :)

I am 25 and used to smoke roll-ups with no filters, I'd probably smoke about 35-40grams a week, I was fed up with the prices and the smell of my room.
Fed up of having to Fabreeze and air the place every time the Mrs want to come over, and still it never covers the smell.
Anyway I recently had a Molar tooth out and had a few fillings and I thought No i aint loosing any more teeth for cigarettes, I like my teeth and I can only imaging whats hapening to the rest of my body if i'm starting to need fillings/ loose teeth from smoking.

I had quit before for like 3 weeks at a time but it is hard, and nobody tells you that it stays hard its not 2-3 days and your over it - it's psycological and even weeks after you still can't stop thinking about smoking, it was driving me crazy. Patches give me heart palpatations and even after like 9,000 lozenges they still taste horrible and just wernt the same.

So I got one of those E-lite cigs from the local shop and was supprised by how ok it was, then smoked abit more, now I've got an Ego-T and some nice 24mg juice and its almost been a week and I havnt missed smoking and don't think I'd go back!!

I started because I REALLY want to get of real smokes. I have smoked for well over half my life span and have tried many ways to quit. This is the first thing I have tried that seems to be working. No of course I am still VERY new to it and still smoke real ones but I have been able to cut it back to half what I did before and have high hopes to be real smokes free by the first of the year.

I smoked for a bit when I was younger, but then I started to smell bad. I knew it, too. Everyone around me, just kind of went, "Oh, great. There he is, just like his dad."

So, I stopped smoking.

But, then, the advent of vaping came around. I wasn't sold by the initial idea, as I was being bombarded at the malls with these "Green Cigarettes." Just kinda ...... me off.

It wasn't till Mr. JeepBear started getting real heavy in it, that I found a new way to smoke... err, vape.

I could work out my habit of the actions with using 0 nic juice. Work out my little fidgeting, and some of the little things I do, by tricking my brain otherwise.

And... I get to see my 2 daughters that much longer that I'm not smoking death sticks.
