I always have been taken care of my self and excercise daily, unfortunatly have been smoning on and off for 20 years. I am 43 and in the best shape of my lfe and it was time to stop for good. When I was still smoking, I started to also Vape a couple years ago and finally gave the analogs up this year.
I cant believe that I have stopped and don't even crave any longer. I dont miss washing my hands and am comfortable in social settings not smelling like an ashtray.
Thanks for having me here!

Because someone at work who can't tolerate the smell of cigarettes read an article about them and suggested I investigate. I loved smoking and had no intention of quitting, but e-cigs sounded technically interesting, so I bought a kit just for grins. I ended up quitting in 4 days. So I started vaping by accident :)

Living in New York City being a pack to a pack and a half a day smoker @ 13 dollars a pack was rediculous. Also climbing a flight of stairs at 27 yrs old and being winded was rediculous. I was also sick of smoking analogs. I hated the smell and taste. I found vaping brought everthing i loved of smoking (nicotine and the hand to mouth motion), there were a billion different flavors, and hey I fell a little cool again lol. People are intrested in vaping even if they dont smoke and arent disgusted like they are with smoking.

I bought an e-cig probably for the same reasons as a lot of you folks... Wanting to quit smoking, to clear the air, and to put more money in my wallet... I have several medical conditions that do not react well to nicotine, so ideally, I'd like to get it out of my system. I've tried patches and gum, and they make my face and arms tingle. Hopefully with the help of an e-cig, I'll be more likely to reduce my nicotine consumption over time.

I have been using the e-cig since June 2011 with mixed results and a few crutch induced relapses (broken e-cig, stress, drinking, etc.).

I am starting a family. After nearly 15 years of smoking, and probably 10 years of failed attempts to quit I was turned onto the e-cig. On a whim, I ordered a starter package from a company based in China and liked it a lot. It broke, I went back to Marlboro's. My wife purchased one from her pharmacy, it broke after a month, I went back to Marlboro's - went through that routine twice with the same brand.

This summer I undertook a more thorough research project and purchased a Vapor4Life starter package. I have been very pleased with the results. I am still prone to alcohol induced relapses - the craving for the "real thing". However for the last 6 months or so they've been more like one-night/pack stands.

My son was born in October. I need to quit smoking for good!

A few years ago I worked in a decent sized office building and we had guy who smelled like an ashtray at all times. His office smelled like he just put out a pack of cigarettes even though we obviously couldn't smoke inside. It was like his clothes and body were infused with the smell of ash. I swore that I would never be like that.

Fast forward to a year ago and I was becoming that guy. My friends would come to my apartment and comment on the ashtray smell. One day my uncle told me that it was obvious to any non-smoker that I smoked just because I smelled like cigarettes all the time. I even started noticing that my clean clothes had an odor to them, like it was burned into the fabric. I bought an air purifier and a two way window fan to help with the smell, but as any ex-smoker knows, it's hard to avoid stinking when you smoke.

When I got my first starter kit, I told myself that I didn't have to commit to anything. I didn't want to quit, I just wanted to cut back on the amount of cigarettes I was smoking to save some money and not smell bad. Within a month I was down to only one or two cigarettes a day and I knew it was going to be easier to make the switch than I previously thought and nothing was stopping me from doing so. I've been tobacco free for over 2 months now and I couldn't be happier. The only thing I have to worry about smelling like now is carmel and hi-c, and I haven't found anyone yet that finds those scents offensive.

The thought of leaving my 4 year old daughter without a father made me almost cry. I have high cholesterol and was a 2 pack a day smoker with no hope after trying most products, I figured that i was doomed. One day, I saw a co-worker smoking an e-cig outside, holding it by the end. Never having heard of these products, I was shocked when it looked like he was holding the part WHERE THE HOT AMBER PART ON A CIGARETTE WOULD BE. He then told me all about e-cigs!!! 6 months on 12/17, Father's Day, '12!!
