I can understand someone making the choice to only buy authentic products because of whatever personal reason they have. Whether they feel cloning = theft, they believe it's a superior product, etc. What I don't understand is why some people seem to actually be offended that other people disagree with those reasons and make a choice to buy cloned products. Does it affect you in any way? It just comes off as sour grapes. "I spent $180 on this atty/mod and this person only had to spend $18! No fair!" Is that always the case? Of course not. I don't personally know any of the pro-authentic people and I'm not going to pretend to know what's going on in their heads. But this is how a lot of them come across to me. Just throwing that out there.

Sometimes it takes a long time for those who knowingly buy counterfeits and contribute to theft to convince themselves it is ok...

No not at all! I sleep well at night buying both quality authentic and cloned products. Like someone already said and it may be sad, the product coming out a China is supporting the industry because some of the authentic manufacturers don't produce enough inventory to support the masses.

Authentic or clone my goal is to buy available products to keep me from smoking. There is a group that appear to want to push the values on others, get all high and mighty. Personally I could care less if they buy clones as long as they stay off smokes and stick it to BT.

You guys should just get off your soap box and leave the rest of these nice folks alone.

The only ones I have seen who bring up cost are the pro counterfeit crowd...

Steve, respectfully that's just BS. Others have posted their thoughts and you simply pass by those because they don't support your argument.

I'm not taking a jab but it's selective reading on your part if you only think it's about money. And just a thought, for some, the one's that don't buy new gear all the time, they really do save money getting off smokes. Whatever their rational it's really nobody else's business but their own and they get attacked for getting off of smokes.

You guys fight about this crap all the time, it makes us look like fools.

End game and ultimate goal..... no smokes and screw BT! Nobody should care how someone reaches that goal.

Really? Wow. Where are these original Chinese mods and attys? You'd think these companies would have flourished. Surely SvoeMesto and ProVape were no threat, given the costs of German and American manufacturing... Do you know the difference between a concept and design? A concept is an electronic cigarette- it's function and purpose. Developing a product with the same concept as another is not theft. Literally copying another's product, even the name, is quite a bit different than making a product which serves the same purpose and function as another.

and I still dont own a Provape or SM.... but I do have original SVD and RSST.... and HCigar KF3.1...( which is built better than the real KF3.1)

I don't reply to those who can't have a rational discussion...

There are plenty of alternatives to counterfeits, like the Kanger SubTank...

You mean the pro-authentic. I buy clones because I can't justify spending $200 (average for a mod) on just a tube that is supposed to save me money and keep me off smoking. And that's just a mod. Another $100 for a topper is outrageous. Yes there are cheaper authentic mods but my purpose was to save money instead of smoking. So really it's just whatever keeps you off smoking.

but theft is ok.... the makers of the "original" equipment think its ok....

Just like all authentic equipment is not high quality nor worth the expense; not all authentic equipment makers have come up with their own design, either... Payback if they rip off China, however...
