Your earlier posts regarding lack of income and how tough it is to "get by" indicate otherwise!

Merely pointing out that your argument and equipment in your sig line are contradictory!

please show me where I said I had a lack of income? sounds like you are arguing against one big 'entity' of people for clones, rather than me for not wanting to pay for stuff that I think personally isnt worth it.

The same can be said for spending $800 on an iPhone; an LG or Samsung can be bought for $300. Not many would go to chinabuye for an iPhone 'clone.'

thats the whole good thing about buying good 'outdated' stuff when they go down in value  , i just trade in my older iphones for 'newer' iphones at my carrier for free! once a new iphone comes out, my carrier lets us trade in our 'older' iphones for the recently outdated iphone for free!

well, DVD's are like $10-15 bucks nowadays lol, and if youre thrifty you would rent them for around 4-5$. cant compare that to 100$+ for vaping gear imo.

But if we're using the "What if I Don't Like it" rational, why don't I just Download Movies Illegally?

That would save 4 ~5$

i dont know about that person who said that, but for me I do research to make sure at least that I wont hate something before I purchase it. When I spend a good amount of money I go off other peoples reviews because even though I might not be as rich as other people, I can't really afford to drop $100s on a 50/50 chance that I will use/like something. Which was one of the main reasons I ordered the rDNA40, lots of really good reviews and testimonials. The RDA's I have are based on personal observation by looking at pictures and so-so reviews, I have never read any "you got to go out and get this RDA" type reviews other than on Marquis/Lemo Drop and I already ordered authentics of those on the way.

but to the original OP. Its vaping, peoples budgets are different. People knowingly buy clones based on their budget and if its going to work for them at the time. an RDA has no electrical components and the slight difference between an authentic and clone can be as simple as just a screw being stripped or an o-ring not being tight which in no way will hinder the RDA useless, you might have to tinker with it but it will be cheaper and get the job done for what you need and can afford at that time. Like someone mentioned before paying 600$+ for an authentic windshield, rather than getting some china brand mass produced 100-200$ windshield. People honestly just need something that works at the time and and would just buy the cheaper windshield, but if that guy can afford a 600$ windshield because he wants it regardless of his stances on cheaper windshields good for him. Not everyone can afford or would want to shell out more money for something when something else cheaper can get the job done (regardless if that cheaper windshield/RDA/MOD is authentic or not), It just so happens most of the cheaper stuff are clones in our market and those cheaper stuff still work.

That's my Rational for Buying Bootleg CD's and Illegally Copied DVD's.

What if I Don't Like them?

The main difference....... Those are copyrighted goods.....i wouldn't buy a clone mod if it was.....case in point, Hana has trademarked their logo, now all the clones are sans Hana logo... They did it right. I wouldn't go out and buy a Hana clone with logo now....knowing this. I got mine before that took effect, so it wasn't an illegal copy then, but I still want to paint it to cover the logo.

on another note, i know this is finnicky but, If the authentic hana modz didnt have their tacky logo on it I would have a Hana modz in my hand right now instead of a rDNA40

You didn't outright say "lack of income" but you alluded to that via posts like these:
I said $88 per PAY PERIOD -- that's twice a month, $176/mo -- which we could not afford, but somehow forced, mainly by buying less food.
and
I buy my clothes at Walmart -- I buy store brands and off-brands, almost without exception.
and
Used to be, if we bought $100 worth of groceries at Walmart, our buggy was completely full. Now, that same $100, and the buggy is less than half full. My husband hasn't had a raise in 3 yrs -- he makes just over $11/hr, and if he doesn't get his 7.5 hrs a week of OT -- like when there's some stupid holiday and all his hours are straight-time -- we don't make it -- my parents have to give us food. I had to quit smoking BECAUSE I COULDN'T AFFORD IT ANYMORE

Besides your not the one complaining about $ spent on authentics vs clones all the while showing a $200 box mod in your sig!
That's alice, who clearly lives in wonderland!

like i said, show me a post where I (ME, MYSELF) stated i had lack of income, all those posts you said i said werent even posted by ME. They CLEARLY say who posted then yet you reply saying I SAID THEM WHICH I DIDNT. It seems like you are just ...... off at anyone who buys clones IMO. LOOK BACK AT THE QUOTES YOU QUOTED. They are not ME posting them.

thats alice? Really? When you are the one posting and calling me out when you CLEARLY see the individual who posted your quotes BEFORE you even posted them was NOT me? ROFL

So Cal
You and Alice are so similar in your argument for clones I mixed you up!

No matter who said what, both of you have same argument! Also, most peoples argument for using/buying/supporting clones is monetary. Yet they, as many have said, have a quiver of mods on display gathering dust. SO in those arguments I call B.S.

If we all stopped knowingly buying clones/counterfeits that market would wither and disappear, but those who do merely feed the Chinese beast!

ALSO... logos or no logos, IF the item is sold as a "product x" or "product x clone", it is a copy, a counterfeit. The addition of the logo only makes it a more blatant counterfeit! Users of such equipment call it a "clone" so they can sleep at night, with the false security that is isn't a counterfeit.

Those were my posts, not hers. I don't remember her saying anything about her income. Ours is "not enough," though now that I vape instead of smoke, we're just about breaking even.

As for your last question... I WOULDN'T be smoking now, because I COULD NO LONGER AFFORD IT -- that's 98% of the reason I was interested in e-cigs, so I could actually quit, and spend a great deal less money, so my parents didn't have to give us $300 worth of food a month. The other 2 percent of why i was interested are 1% tired of freezing outdoors, and 1%, my health.

You can think that if you want to, I don't object. I'm not the one with an axe to grind; I buy what I can afford -- it's available, I need it, I can afford it, so I buy it. Whatever conspiracy you want to believe in, go right ahead, I don't mind a bit.

regardless if its feeding the chinese beast or not, ~100$ is not something I almost NEVER would pay for a small piece of stainless steel. Yes I am not well versed in what goes into producing these products I am talking about, but if 40-60$ authentic RDA's USA made exist, then there definitely is no reason to mark something up to 100$+ unless it honeslty brings something new to the table. I am not going to shell out 100$ for an RDA even if it is an authentic. You are telling me that piece of steel is worth half as much as my authentic mod that is used to power it which has electrical components inside it and is made of the same material as that 100$ RDA. If china can reproduce that 100$ product for 1/10th the price of that authentic then there is definitely something wrong with that authentic pricing.

Its like comparing the price ranges of cars to RDA's. In the car industry there are cars priced for low income consumer, and cars priced for high income consumer. We have Honda civics, toyota corrollas, acuras and infinits, lambos and ferraris. In the vaping industry all i see as far as RDA's go is used toyota camrys and ferraris, with the occaisonal infiniti. You either have dirt cheap clones/counterfeit or ~$100 authentics. There rarely is middle ground here.

If I had to chose between a weeks worth of groceries or an 'authentic' RDA wwhich is just a piece of metal, I would chose a weeks worth of groceries every single time. You can blame who you want but it isnt directly our fault. Whether it be our government allowing us to buy clones, china being able to reproduce clones at a cheaper price, or the government holding us down from producing product at a reasonable price, you cannot blame solely the consumer.

If you really are hardset on people purchasing authentics then why dont you lend me money so I can replace all my gear with authentic gear, or tell those who dont want to spend hundreds on vape gear they have to stick to smoking because they cant afford to vape. Id rather buy 10-20 of something, than 1-2 of something regardless if they are authentics or not. Also vaping is not my life, it is not what I chose to spend the majority of my money on, and therefore I mostly am not interested in spending my free budget majority on vaping. Maybe if my budget was more into other subjects or if I made an excess of money I would toss more money around in vaping but to be honest it isnt worth it to me. I'm not going to throw away money if im not sure im going to be getting that money I put in back in performance and longevity.

I would rather buy cheap clones that cost 1/0th the price of usa made authentics that perform THE SAME. You can justify yourself spending more by saying oh its more quality or whatnot or its USA made and were giving the money back into our economy, but even in your arguements, the fault is not that of the consumer.

also fyi, i call it a clone because it is a clone, and so i can spend the money I save to buy craft beer I can enjoy while vaping. I sleep well every night and dont need to lie to myself. I dont have an authentic whoopdy doo, but it works the same.

Yet a $200 mod is justifiable over the clone? Isnt that a bit hypocritical?

When you refer to:
replace all my gear
How many mods, RDC, RBC, and tanks do you own?

Why is it that those who are set on buying clones/counterfeits need so many? Does it take buying something every week or month to stay off cigarettes? I pretty much just buy e-liquid and cartos. Are the clones/counterfeits so bad they wear out constantly and need replacing?

I recently saw a counterfeit and genuine Kayfun 4. I knew the difference immediately; just by look and feel of the metal, then when I saw the individual parts it was glaringly obvious which was well machined and which wasn't. Could be that I work in manufacturing...

it is hipocritical when you look at it in your narrowed point of view. in my point of view a mod has more components to it to work and i personally would justify that increased pricetag. There are electrical components and build quality. In an RDA it is just pure stainless steel molded into shapes. I dont care if the finish is not completely smooth, i dont care if the threads are perfect and buttery, those are not something that justifies paying 75$+ more for over a clone in my opinion, if it works the same way as the authentic then i will buy the clone. If the authentic is reasonably priced then I will go and buy the authentic after i bought the clone. I have yet run into an RDA design where i went "oh this RDA is perfect, if only the finish was better or if that o ring was tighter or if that center post didnt spin i would pay 75$ more for the authentic."

I own 2 authentic vv/vw mods, 1 authentic silver bullet mod, 2 authentic mutation X V1 and V2, two 'clone' cigreen versions of the mutation X, an authentic design cigreen N23, a clone dark horse, a clone stillare, and a clone SOD 5k.
