I like what Footoon did. They drew up blueprints and created some pics of a completely non functional , useless atty and leaked them to China. Its now for sale on fasttech. Search "aqua v3" on fasttech. I think that's hilarious!

I personally don't care what anyone uses....clone/ authentic ....it has no bearing on what I think of people. Good for footoon, though. That's pretty funny.

Gotta love a good joke lol...I'm the same way use what you want or what your comfortable spending your money on either clone or genuine. I was fine spending $16 on a Tobeco Orchid clone to try over $140 for the authentic. With the savings on that buy I can get a IPV Mini V2 and juice to run through it.

 so for those against buying (will never buy one ever) "clones" do you not (now or ever) own an ego type mod?
;)

Do you know the difference between something which is similar and something which is an almost exact copy, with the same markings and even sold with the same name as the original?

yes i do...but it seems that most of the posts in here against clones don't (but then most of them haven't reposted either so...)....and the ego was originally the trade name, but as it got clone over and over again it became ok (well not ok, but it became the norm) and thus it's the style name now.... ;) [hence my early example of facial tissue vs kleenex ;)]
don't mine me :d i'm just poking jest....
the point of fact is in either argument, no one will ever change another persons mind and way of thinking :D to each their own
cloning (similar production, stating no ties to an original product) [is designed to function in the same way as another; Clones and remakes are created for various reasons, including competition, standardization, availability across platforms, and even as homage] = ok, good, more products on the market and challenges others to step up their game and make a newer better product
counterfeiting (similar production, sometimes not even similar, slapping a copyrighted label on it trying to pass it off as the original product) [made in exact imitation of something valuable or important with the intention to deceive or defraud] = bad, stealing, illegal, and does nothing to help the market and only raises prices on items.....

My first ecig, after blu's, was an ego mod...

Before you pounce on that... I have stated numerous times in this thread that there's a huge difference between knowingly and unknowingly!

I wonder if they did that to try and catch an internal spy/leak??? If so, it was a huge FAIL!

I like their style though!

I think you completely missed my point...

Does the $20-30 clone (Y) of the expensive/unaffordable/unjustifiable product (X) really do anything better than a $20-30 authentic atty?

sometimes. sometimes $20-$30 clone is functionally superior to a $150 authentic atty. And sometimes a $30 authentic is better. But you can't base your decision on price. Or on clone/authentic. In this industry, price often does not mean quality. Nor does the original manufacturer always have the best quality. It really pays to read lots of reviews, participate in discussions, and check for online videos when purchasing anything vape related.

Nope
Footoon is playing damage control after the fact.
Footoon had the atty base manufactured "by an outside source".
After filling the initial order, attys were sold to other shops like FT.
By the "outside source". ;)
Footoon went ballistic because a $200 atty was available for $20 before vapers could be fleeced.
Lol.

Quality and honesty folks....you don't always get what you pay too much for.

Footoon also made one of the worst mods ever (Origen), with a terribly designed switch.

I think you maybe wrong If you look at the detailed images of the device it appears to be a design that would never wick. Also, the Footoon website and fb pages both talk major Krap about this deception. I'm not a footoon fan, don't own any of their gear, but I still like the way they stuck it to FastTech and others involved!

Personally I wanted to find out what was deference on clone vs authentic so I bought jd techstingray xti and x black (authentic) and infinite stingray x and x black only thing I could find deferent was on the infinite stingray x (ss) button was a bit clicky and also had to put something in the button to rase it up a bit. Infinite stingray x (black) didn't have any problem. Serial number( font ) was little bit different but otherwise looks all same.
Xti was $260 black was $230. Clone X (ss) $49 black was $36. How ever I had issue on authentic on the black ver. 510 connection was too tight so I contacted jd tech and also the seller. Jd tech told me it's not warranty able due to I didn't buy it from there Vander even with the serial number was under 800 and there was supposed to be only 1000 made. So now even if u buy authentic they treat you like clone anyways so I wonder if it does everything like a clone why wast $200 extra? Ps. I told jd tech that I won't buy anything they make ever again and got me 510 tapping tool and rethread my self. Also they wanted me to pay extra $40 for top cap. How I feel is they can shove $40 up there $#! [emoji35]

You are aware Fasttech is just a Vender, supplying customers aren't you? Why do so many people bust on them like they make the crap People keep demanding?
Oh, I know. Because they are in China and can get it faster and sell it lower.
Did you know the e-cig side is a tiny Drop in their Retail Business?

Yea, the Non-atomizer is a joke and the Co. that commissioned the making should be held to all cost of units sold.

Fasttech also supplies a vast number of Authentic items.

I do't really understand what you said... You bought a counterfeit on eBay and are upset at a mod maker because they won't fix it for you for free?

You really seem to have difficulty understanding what people say. :) Just joking. The poster bought an authentic mod but because they didn't buy it through their authorized vendor, they denied a warranty claim. Some ebay purchases are that way. People scarf up on sales and close outs and turn new authentics without warranty.
