To unfreeze, just let it sit at room temp. I have pg based nic and have never had it freeze. It thickens up a little but that's it, although I haven't tried WL's nic yet, but I am as soon as I get some more of mine used up. I'm wondering, if it's freezing, that must mean there is water in it?

I am new to vaping and I can't really tell you how good the nic base is from WL, because I have nothing to compare it to.
I can tell you that I have been there to pick up my order and I met the nicest people there. I met the owner and he keeps the place very sterile and looks like a doctor going into surgery. He was very knowledgeable and happy to answer my newbie questions. I like the fact that they are very professional, have good prices and right down the road from me. :) I have no problem in recommending them and I will only buy from them. It gives me peace of mind seeing Wizard Labs for myself. One thing I can tell you is the 100mg/ml pg nic, has like no smell to it. Just a very slight smell that is more likely from the plastic brown bottle.

As many know I have been an avid Wizard fan since I started vaping in January. I have tried many vg nic bases, mfs, ecx, vz, and some others. Wizard Ice is all I will use from now on. I have some mixes almost four months old and they are crystal clear (i only use and store in glass be it capped or dropper bottles) and have not degraded at all.

By the way, lets put the freezing issue to bed. Madvapes has been doing almost a year long test on storage of nic bases in freezer, refridgerator, cool dark place, and even on a window sill. Needless to say the window sill is the worst place for your nic. Just keeping it in glass, in the fridge OR in a cool dark place will achieve long term storgae with no degrading of (at least) the nic levels. As far as quality, from my own experience with WL ice nic in vg.... stays fresh, fine, and as good as new stored in the fridge or a dark place.

Madvapes was 36 mg. 100 mg is a huge difference. I've stored in a freezer and a dark cabinet of another vendors nic before, and it degraded to brown weak weirdness in a matter of a month or 2.

Thanks for the advice. Getting ready to place my first WL order. I'm new to vaping and DIY. Nice to see another Buffalonian!

Jimi is correct. The quality of the nic to begin with is the most important piece of the puzzle. I think that kind of degradation speaks to quality, not storage. Not convinced that concentration matters much. I only go as high as 60mg when I order. I was speaking specifically of storage tho. Obviously, if the nic you got is a turd.... you still cant put a shine on a turd.

I just found this thread and have not read it to its entirety, but I have some questions...

I have been DIY for about a year and a half. Started with a couple of 50mg/ml PG and 50mg/ml VG each in 60ml bottles. I soon learned that I liked a more higher concentration of VG, so now I purchase 100mg/ml VG only. I've always stored mine in the refrigerator. I asked a question once of the owner of My Freedom Smokes about freezing nic juice and he said not to do it - that it should keep in refrigeration for 12-18 months.

I've read a few post of people who freeze theirs. Who or where did you get the information of freezing it?

I keep mine in 30 and 60 ml amber bottles and have not had any degradation in quality (that I can tell). My last batch was a 250 ml bottle that lasted about 10 or 11 months. How long have you kept your nic liquid and was there any degradation?

I wish I had stumbled on this thread earlier - I placed another order for nic liquid on Saturday and Wizard Labs pricing beats what I paid.

Many people here have put theirs in the freezer to preserve it from the aging process that will happen sooner in the fridge. I have frozen MFS and others without issue but it needs to be in glass of course.

I pull frozen VG nic out of the freezer all the time, just let it come to room temp as it will. If I'm feeling impatient I run it under warm water.

I can't say that the freezer protects things from yellowing, because that seems to be hit or miss. But it does seem to protect against the nic picking up more stank than I care for. It only takes a small proportion of nic oxides to color a bottle of nic solution, so the color isn't really significant anyway (source for that fact is Kurt)

OTOH my batch of RTS went into the freezer yellow and tasting like crap, and came out darker yellow and testing like ...something I poured down the sink LOL.
