First build on a new Goblin yesterday. Rayon, 3\32, 0.8 ohm and it leaked badly. Tried another build with more rayon down the juice channels and it's awesome.

I did the same with cotton. I ignored what Busardo copied from another guy about tiny amounts of cotton that just reach the juice holes. I did the opposite. I crammed cotton in the juice channels all the way to the bottom and even left a bit into the tank. works great, no leaking, wicks 100% VG perfectly.

My new rule: watch Busardo and do the opposite.

My fill screw leaked. Here's my fix:

1) Get a small o ring that fits the screw threads tightly, any grade (food or not) is fine in my opinion.
2) make sure it's tight on the threads
3) clean the o ring, screw and fill hole with alcohol, make sure all juice is gone
4) start screwing in. A lot of o ring will be sticking outside the edge of fill hole
5) keep screwing and the sharp corner of the screw head (shoulder) will begin cutting off the excess o ring material
6) when the screw is all the way in, cut the excess o ring away with a knife

If you don't have a relatively sharp corner (shoulder) on your screw this won't work. You'll just have to cut the orang down with a scissors. Good luck with it.

A better fill screw fix is to get an oring of the correct size.

I'm having good results with 2.3 x 0.45. I've refilled at least 15 times with this oring fitted and it remains leak proof and in good condition.

The trick, of course, is not to over tighten the fill screw with an oring fitted. Doing so will tear up an oring at once.

It's a hard to find size. Try searching for watch gaskets. I get mine here: Replacement watch Round Micro Rubber O-Ring Gaskets UK, EU, USA.
I've had 2 orders from them, the order is dispatched in 2 days, and Paypal checkout is simple, no need to set up an account. Orings are expensive but postage, inc intl postage, is cheap.

If you want to experiment with sizes, be aware that 2.5 x 0.6 is too big. 2.3 x 0.55 might be better than 2.3 x 0.45 but since the latter is working perfectly I have no intention of changing it.

Anybody experience leaking from the fill hole?

When I put the goblin on my device and leave a gap so it's not flush it won't leak. But when I put it on an atty stand and the bottom of the goblin is touching the atty stand, it will leak.

On my first build, I thought the fill hole was leaking. What a mess, but realized I was flooding. The gurgling and splash of juice in the mouth is telling. Took the stack off and found one of the channels had no cotton in it. Used a small jeweler a screwdriver to comb some strands into the empty channel. Put it back together and this thing is working like a charm. No leaks, no gurgling. Make sure all 4 channels have cotton, otherwise it will gurgle, flood and leak.

The Goblin and Goliath, great atty's, with piss-poor fill designs.....:)

I agree but in contrast, Svoemesto went WAY overboard on the Kayfun 4 just to avoid a filling screw. They added SO many parts, buried the airflow control and the thing doesn't even work well.

When someone comes up with a top fill design they'll make a fortune if the atty is good.

Really incredible manufacturers are not jumping on the bandwagon for this design.
Aga-t5....Thing leaks like crazy when you fill using the top grub screw. I separate the tank and base and fill losing a tiny bit of capacity. That tiny pressure change (tightening of the grub screw)causes flooding of the chamber. Any design that doesn't allow for that pressure change will leak. Liquid control gimmicks don't help.

A side fill towards the bottom of the tank would be the best option. No need to remove the tank to fill and would allow the pressure to release through the chamber by filling upside down.

Been using mine, 3 weeks, with no leaking or dry hit issues ( wick just barely in the juice channels ).
28ga - 6 wraps - .43 ohm (25 to 30 watts) just replaced the cotton and cleaned the coils every couple days
Put twisted 30ga. 5 wraps .47 ohm today .......... really digging the twisted at 32 watts!

Has anyone got their hands on the Cthulhu RTA yet? I have one in the mail and wondering how the build deck size compares to the Goblin. The juice channels seem wider too. I'm hoping I can get a higher resistance coil in here (more surface area) + extra juice for wicking should allow more vapour than what I've managed on the Goblin (which is substantial don't get me wrong!), one can always hope for more :)

I saw those at vapour eyes and obviously taken from the goblin. Not sure the deck would be that much bigger than the goblin if at all to make a difference.
Juice channels may be wider but not much of an issue if you've got the goblin wicked good.

Does anyone know fitting parts for goblin? I want a bell cap, but mostly I want to extend juice capacity. I've got V1 which only comes in 3ml.
Would this fit?

Would anything fit? Please suggest me what longer chimney and tank I can use.

There's a post here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rta/637657-youde-goblin-69.html . Poster says that the Kayfun v4 chimney fits the goblin, and has added the bell cap. All K4 parts are available on gearbest http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_143948.html
Here's the bell cap for the v4: http://www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/Kayfun-V4-Bell-topcap . As you can see it's different from the one in your pic. The chimney design for the v4 is totally different, but it's possible that the threading at the top is the same. i don't know. I assume there are clones for the v4 bell cap but haven't looked for one.

Interesting question. Since a poster has said the v4 chimney fits, then that ought to mean that v4 extension kits ought to fit, which means the possibility of a 6ml glass tank, or 7ml steel tank for the goblin based around the v4 chimney. I'll check this tomorrow and report back. But you said you wanted a bell cap. :)

And very few people stock the extended chimney that comes with v1.1. Here's the extended chimney quite cheap from the UK: Youde Goblin RTA Replacement Large 4ml Glass with Chimney | eBay

Thanks for replies. Yes I found out KF4 parts fit goblin, but am not too sure about that KF chimney, it doesn't look normal and I'm not sure if it's enough to wick properly as my goblin sucks juice real quick. Anyway, if I won't find anything else I will try buying KFV4 clone and making a hybrid.

Eddie, I am more interested if any kayfun/orchid/lemo/aqua/subtank or another popular atomizer parts fit goblin as the assortment would be a lot bigger then. :) Nano, belly, colored, glass, full metal caps etc! :)

Been using goblin for the past 3 months and it's simpy the best. Think I'm in love.
