Watching funeral of Harris County Deputy Goforth. All Houston channells broadcasting the whole thing live since about 10:30 this morning. It's almost 1 now, & they've just loaded him in to the hearse for the private procession to the cemetary. There are thousands of LEO's from all over the country there, as well as thousands of civilians. The roads for miles are lined with people. I did fine until they played Taps with the echo. My uncle is there somewhere representing the Association of Retired Texas Rangers. This show of support is amazing. This is how it should be. Ferguson & Baltimore should be shamed. And Westboro never made it to town from what I hear.

I started dialysis at 216lbs. They try to take off 1 to 2 kilos each session. Currently I am at 202lbs. This cements my suspicions about "lose 10 pounds overnight" diets. The first 10 are water weight. That could be one reason that weight loss is so difficult after the first 10 pounds. My diet has changed dramatically also. NO potatoes, tomatoes, watermelon, chocolate, dairy products, cokes and/or "dark" drinks etc. I also stopped the habit of eating between meals so that's also helping the weight loss.

My dad wanted his ashes put in his wife's grave in Ohio. The one time I drove to Ohio, it was just too soon after he died, and I didn't realize it would cost as much as it did to open the grave. Got home with him, then later found out.....oops, you need a permit to transport remains. who knew. lol

My Nephew in Law shipped my mom's ashes to me no problem. Of course I don't know if he even told them what they were. Don't have to you know.

Edit: Now what the heck am I going to do with them now. Was going to take them up to the mountains in NC. She always liked them but, out of time for that now. She met and married my father in Ft. Lauderdale and raised all of us 6 kids in Daytona Beach. Maybe a ocean/beach spreading of the ashes is in order.

Bigger question is who cares. I'm reasonably sure that applies to transportation of bodies not ashes. How the heck would they know. Cop pulls you over and asks "Do you have any guns, other weapons, drugs or cremated remains in the car?" Not likely, at least has never happened to me.

Hello, you old people. We're just back from Carrabba's. I love that place. I had Veal Marsala with garlic mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. It was delicious. They used to have baked spaghetti and I absolutely loved it. Had it once and of course the next time we went it was no longer on the menu. Hate that but, it always seems to happen. Find something I really like (doesn't matter what) and they quit making it.

We looked at the pics and Doree figured out where they go and I'll draw you a little diagram and put it into the box with them. Doree just sewed them on with strong thread the first time. Bet you dental floss would work well.

I think so to but, no way would I pay $45 or more (I looked, had to put one in the shopping cart to see the price) for a drip tip. However I will see what the market will bear after we get moved and I have access to my mini lathe.
