The reason I'm thinking of going with da Amazon Fire TV Stick (Gen 2) is da Alexa voice remote. Should make it easier for my bride should I decide to drop cable.

Curious as to whether you installed a VPN? I downloaded Kodi and some add ons but debating whether or not to add a VPN, I do love movies...

I suspect you would .. .. all I will say is, I plan on selling all stock I own in any Company a few days prior to the Election, especially if the Polls are really tight, because if a Someone That Shall Not Be Named wins, Wall Street is going to look like the Exchange did after Brexit, and the Dollar value will be going the same way .. you read it here first ..

Yep who knows they keep digging up more dirt on both of them. It's hard to say who'll get it. I think we are in trouble either way, I just hope that the rest of the govt will stop them from doing anything really stupid.

Hey I got to talk to Jacob today well on FB Messenger and all is well there cooling off to 75-80 at night and only about 100 during the day. He's on nights for a couple weeks so he was at work. Nothing crazy going on he says. He said everyone there is not happy about this election either.

Of course they are both going to be pretty busy for a few months to do anything presidential. Trump has 75 lawsuits pending and she has around 30+. Both will be so busy giving depositions they won't have time for the office. And they both are facing charges or audits, its a hell of a mess.

Da stick(s), PVM and a few subscribed sources (if needed) plus a local HD TV antenna would be a less dan one month of our cable!

BTW, was surprised to find out I can get over 40 OTA local channels via an HD antenna!

the way i figure it,, it dont matter,, either one could easily be knocked off,,, and their vp would be the new president and the people below move up the ladder (if this list is correct):

Dennis, with all due respect (and you know I'm aware of your background) .. If you drill down, you'll find :: Many of KODI’s unofficial add-ons use peer-to-peer streaming that does not hide your IP as you are both downloading the file you are streaming and sharing it with other users who want to watch the same show as you watch the show. Often users of these 3rd party unofficial add-ons are unaware they re-sharing the file in a similar way to how Bittorrent works. So, yes, in many cases, users are peer-to-peer protocols .. and will have a "seed" residing within their machine ..

Folks have been getting Copyright Infringement letters over the last year, primarily from Comcast ..

Until now there haven’t been any reports of KODI users being hit with lawsuits or copyright claims that are so popular with Bittorrent users. Yet it is possible to track users of peer-to-peer streaming services similarly to how Bittorrent users are tracked .. this is no different than the infancy of the fight initiated over MP3 sharing and subsequent lawsuits and fines against the consumers ..

I'm not slamming KODI, it's a great interface .. However, unofficial add-ons are developed by people who have no association with the KODI core team, but they write add-ons that are intended to work on KODI ..

This is why I simply recommended anyone that uses the interface outside the norm of what it was made for originally (an interface for legal streaming and storage of owned content), seriously consider a VPN .. and I'll add :: The use of a dedicated PC for this purpose is a good idea, since when connecting peer-to-peer the vulnerability of the PC is also much more easily compromised ..

So-- I have joined a matchmaking site. Been sending smiles and building my profile. Got about three Cali nibbles. Six months costs $60, but I want to save up money to get to California. I guess I will go ahead and dive.

We still have dish, but we also have an HD antenna and we get more local news, Gainesville as opposed to shock and awe Orlando. Weather is more accurate for us. All the major networks, and a few fun ones like METV. Love the old shows!

That is fantastic, Russell! There is a shop here that sells the chalk paints. They refinish furniture & sell it in the shop, & you can have them do you furniture, or they'll sell you the paint & glazes & you can do your own. My sister did her cabinets at their lake house.

Just saw on Pinterest a whole string on chalk paint and how to make it yourself which is supposed to be much cheaper than buying it already made. I think there was 1 additive that makes it chalk paint. I'm not going to be painting anything so left it alone, but you can probably search for it.

@classwife , and all, thank you for the vid. I spent the night at Shands hospital in Gainesville with Geordi's breeder. He husband had a burst aneurysm in his brain while working out at a gym. She was home doing laundry and such cuz they were scheduled to work this weekend (both ER nurses). Ambulance took him to the hospital they work at who quickly air lifted him to Shands. I drove to the hospital. They put in a stent and then to surgery. . Everything went well, but the next 24 hrs are critical. Probably 3 weeks in hospital and who knows how long recovery. It's been a long night, I need to sleep (yea, right!), and am thankful I am home, and will be home, to help.

Wow, that's really scary. A friend who is a few years younger than me had the same thing happen to her. She was in bad shape for awhile. I was shocked that they were able to put a stent in the vessel in her brain by going in through her groin! That's amazing, but my point is that she recovered just fine. This was about 4 years ago and you'd never know anything happened. Everybody is different and there are a lot of variables, but it is possible to recover fully and I certainly hope that's the case for your friend.

At first I thought these sites were useless, but I now know at least 3 people who have found husbands using Match.com and only 1 who didn't have any luck. As long as you're very careful it's probably the most efficient way to find someone. Without them your choices are pretty limited in how to meet someone. I wish you success!
