Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Seven

A HUGE Thank You to everyone who commented on my Brides journey, and please know that we appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers. I apologize for not responding back on Friday... I was extremely exhausted and just didn't have the energy to get caught up on the threads.

Absolutely... but we did manage to get some much needed rest this weekend. Friday we were up at 4am for a 6am CT scan, and then I had to come in to work afterwards. She has appointments today and tomorrow, but her mom is stepping up to take her in for those. They are just baseline test appointments, so there shouldn't be too much new information given in those. I have been to pretty much every single appointment over the past 3 years. It's actually hard to step back to let someone else help at this point... I just want to be there for her every step of the way. Unfortunately, we have a lot of stuff going on at work right now, and I haven't figured out how to be in two places at one time yet...

Please try to stay positive, friend...you never know!

Very true... we're not trying to stress out over the unknowns yet, but I'm a realist... I am pretty sure that I know what the past several months have done, and I am certainly not anxious to have those fears confirmed.

I've been crock pot cooking again. THis is a recipe I found on the web and made yesterday. REALLY good stuff though I used all fresh veggies and did the reduced salt version. I also did home made biscuits rather than canned. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!

Alyssa got home at lunch and she was just fine ran outside went pee came right back in. She must think shes found.

If you all dont have that paperwork, (you lost it or adopted a pet that is already chipped but came without the paperwork) you contact the microchip company. Most of them have a policy for that. At Home Again they need to try to contact the owner. If that owner doesnt respond to them, then they register the chip to you.

Deb you can go to any Walmart or Petsmart and they have this machine by the front where you can make a dog tag right there. Costs about $5 and you can engrave it and there are a few designs to pick from.

they may have gotten his at petco, not sure. But I'll tell him. His is a bone shape. Son has mentioned needing to get him a new one, just hasn't done it yet.

And also afix a sticker on both your house doors that says how many pets are in your house. In case of a fire firemen need to know how many pets to look for.

Like some have mentioned, I FF through most all commercials .. however, I have been keeping the TV on the ViceLand Channel these last few nights and, although it won't be everyone's cup of tea, it's what I would like to think, other channels will begin to use as a template at some point .. if you've not seen it, it's worth at least a look at the line up on line ..

Yeah I was surprised I put the AMC channel on my Roku and even though I don't have it on my sattelite it let me watch the first 2 episodes of Walking Dead.

It looks to me like episodes are on line for free, I don't know if you can stream it live and continuously .. Vice was and is an HBO series that I have watched for some time .. ViceLand, I believe, is an extension of the HBO series ..

EDIT .. I checked and it looks like you can sign in with your ISP info, and if not, close that window and be presented with a selection of free streaming material ..

Most all of Walking Dead up until the latest season, used to all be on Netflix .. I don't know if it still is .. Magic City was on as well as Breaking Bad .. if you've not yet watched Black Mirror, it's worth a try and you might get hooked .. .. it's kind of a modern take on the original Rod Serling's Twilight Zone .. "Nosedive" was a particularly interesting episode ..

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm still alive. Been busy as a one legged man in an azz kicking contest. Hanging light, throwing out furniture, fixing plumbing and a bunch of other stuff. By the time I think about getting on the computer I've been too tired to think straight. Hopefully things will settle down soon. We are trying to get the house ready for the delivery of our stuff and to do that we have to get rid of all the old stuff. Lotta work. I miss you all and am not even trying to keep up right now. When I came online today i was over 500 messages behind. Sorry.
