Here is that link if anyone's interested: LibreOffice version of Scubabatdan's Mixing Spreadsheet.)
(Goodness, I used "folk" instead of "people". I'll do anything to fit in!)
After guessing correctly 6 times in a row the correct chess move to make to avoid adding bloatware during the installation, I figured my luck wouldn't last.

The next time useless software was being promoted, there was no choice given not to install it. The helpful advice was given that if I didn't want it I'd have to uninstall it after it was installed. So, I cancelled the installation at that point.

Nothing builds confidence in a download like the host site trying to trick me over and over again into adding stuff I don't want.

Where are my manners! My gripes are not your fault of course. Welcome to the Back Porch!

Oooh - what a horrible mess; apologies for that, I'll remove it and try somewhere else.

Yepper, 'folk' is what I like to use; especially relating to our post-pubescent priceless popular porch population. Granted, there are other folks out yonder. But fer moi, folk is a family/tribal connotation I totally embrace.

As to fittin' in...? Dude, rest assured, you're in!

@seapeach I am often accused of having an "Oz complex" in that I frequently give advice when not requested. So here I am.

If you already know the following then just ignore it. There are different techniques to vaping just as there are different techniques to smoking. I agree that you are over-niced because of the high nic percent and the chain vaping. Most of the nic that goes into your bloodstream is absorbed by the mucosa in your mouth and "bronchs".....VERY little, if any, through your lungs. A vaping draw should be done sort of like sipping a drink through a straw and not by taking a long, large hit. You can choose to draw the vape into your mouth, hesitate with it there for a couple seconds and inhale or not. Even after 4 years I sometimes decide not to draw the vapor into my lungs. To demonstrate this take a vape slowly and inhale. Don't exhale immediately......count slowly to 5, exhale and there won't be any visible vapor. Holding the vapor for a short time is normally done to "stealth vape". The other technique is "lung inhale" normally done by cloud chasers. Instead of holding the vapor in your mouth then inhaling, take the vape directly into your lungs. If this is done with heavy amounts of VG, low Ω, and high watts you can be compared to Mt. Krakatoa minus the lava.

Yeah but ... it was a good explanation ... :thumb:

Well I sure don't need a vacation from you folks - I do have to read every day or I go thru withdrawals  I just need to get talking more :)

Nice to meet you too Peach! and thanks. The affording part is definitely the hardest. Had to tell my husband that if we keep going like this year we are going to run out of money real quick. I think he just had to get a bunch of travel in during times he never could when he was teaching and school was in.

Thanks for posting the flamingo that you mixed the other day. I keep trying to find a mix with TFA juicy peach - because I would love to be able to vape a yummy peach and I bought a 30ml bottle of the flavoring because I was sure I was going to love it. Well until I tried the flamingo that you posted - I hated every recipe I previously tried. I mixed some up last night and so far it is tasting pretty good :thumb:

Peach - just my take on this. In the last few years I have found (even before vaping and quitting smoking) that the skin on my face had become more sensitive to the creams I was using - even when they were really expensive good creams. Found I had to even switch brands after 2 or 3 purchases of any brand.

Then when I quit smoking and started vaping - for a while it didn't seem to matter what brand of cream - I was having issues with a fine rash on my face. I too had increased my water intake - tried washing my face more often, then less often and nothing seemed to help.

So I just kept switching brands..... now it has been 2 1/2 years and I find that it is only if I am vaping a lot more than normal that I get some of the slight rash problem occurring again.

I started with 18mg high pg and found it way to harsh. I dropped right away to 15mg in 40pg/60vg. However, had to switch to 50/50 because when I first quit smoking I found higher vg left me with a heavy feeling in my chest and a lot of phlegm.

Now higher vg doesn't give me the heavy chest - just an increase in phlegm and feeling like I have to clear my throat a lot. I have decreased over time to 3mg but continue to pretty much stick with 50/50 and rarely some 40pg/60vg in a melon mix that seems to taste better with the higher vg.

So long story - but in my case I think the face/skin issues were because of an increased intake of both pg/vg and until my system adjusted I kind of had to just tough it out. I guess I should have tried not using any creams - didn't even think to try that.

Thanks Dancing - I have been reading (lurking) just not doing much talking. I am hoping with staying home for awhile now - maybe I can "visit" a little more often.

Funny how things go - I come from a family that had 4 girls then 2 boys. I then had 4 boys and 1 girl. Of my sisters the first 3 of us all had boys first and then the sister next to me stopped after 3 boys. So my Dad started complaining after 8 grandsons - was he ever going to get a granddaughter  He did eventually get 5 of them :)

Now history repeating in the opposite fashion - I thought I would never have a daughter and here we go with lots of granddaughters....

Ok enough talking ..... going to wear out my welcome

No way you can wear out your welcome ... post away ;)

Isn't that amazing? After days of trying to get to the back porch I finally make it and there's someone ready and waiting to welcome me. American hospitality at its best!
Anyhoo, all I meant by a place to share my spreadsheet was somewhere on the interweb I could put the file so's folk could download it from a link on this forum. Nothing more fancy than that. (Here is that link if anyone's interested: LibreOffice version of Scubabatdan's Mixing Spreadsheet.)

If you have a Google+ acc't you could look into using Google Docs. You can create private or public folders to store documents.

Yes, I do have a couple of Erlks and like them a lot. They are a bit trickier to wick; wicked like a KFL, they leak like a sieve! :). The trick is very broad shoulders and very thin wicks in the channels. Thin as in 1/4 the width of the shoulders, at most. I make my first cut to half way in on each shoulder. Then I cut 1/2 of the remaining shoulder off. (Sounds like orthopedic surgery, doesn't it! :)). The part of the wick in the channels should barely touch the deck. They will be so thin that you'll think they won't wick. But they will!

You may want to look at pics much further in on the Erl thread -- pretty close to the end, actually. The wicking that Qorax did initially is not favored by many. Pretty sure that he doesn't do it the same way, anymore.

Hope you like them!

@LittleBird, Thanks for the tips. Last night I looked at the last 10 pages of the ErlK thread.

Our ErlPrinz's came to day. Setup a 1.3Ω, 2.5mm coil, wicked w/ Delasco rayon. Left some puff shoulders coming out the coil and just enough wick going down the juice channels. Seems to be working well so far. Even Janet gave it a thumbs up for good taste after only a few vapes on the new coil/wick. It matches up w/ our Simplicity mods real nice, which are only 20mm in diameter.

Thanks very much for that suggestion; I'll just wipe away the blood and tears, get a good night's sleep and investigate tomorrow.

I don't appreciate being jumped on for pointing out the obstacles, Iffy.

And I'm confident that Puffaway, a new porcher and non-Yank, didn't appreciate the tone of your post. Do you want me to parse your post (unintentional, but necessary, alliteration)? Manners should have been your first concern!

If you would want to continue this, I suggest we take this to 'conversation' or the hangout...

What I'm sure of is that you decided to run your mouth without first grasping the nature of the situation. Clearly you still do not grasp, although once again you've decided to double down on your initially incorrect determination and make yourself the arbiter of what someone is really thinking even when that person states otherwise.

I just get tired of your malicious criticism of me for no good reason. You did go a long time before doing it again, I'll give you that.

Well I'm back. The doc says my leak is pretty stable only 2ms greater then before and the valve is opening and closing the same. He suggested having another echoin 6 months and if I have anymore palpitations to wear a sonic monitor or something like that for a month but I guess I am going to live for the present which is good news EKG was not normal but the same as before so I guess I'm not all better but I'm not any worse which is good. Now I have to go into the VA and they are going to give me every blood test known to man. I asked if they were going to check my liver functions and they said those and many other functions I told them I didn't have that many functions anymore, then they are going to start me on the $100K Hep C treatment. Got the OK from the heart doc to do it. He said he has heard of no cardiac issues with it.
