Well I sure don't need a vacation from you folks - I do have to read every day or I go thru withdrawals  I just need to get talking more :)

Nice to meet you too Peach! and thanks. The affording part is definitely the hardest. Had to tell my husband that if we keep going like this year we are going to run out of money real quick. I think he just had to get a bunch of travel in during times he never could when he was teaching and school was in.

Thanks for posting the flamingo that you mixed the other day. I keep trying to find a mix with TFA juicy peach - because I would love to be able to vape a yummy peach and I bought a 30ml bottle of the flavoring because I was sure I was going to love it. Well until I tried the flamingo that you posted - I hated every recipe I previously tried. I mixed some up last night and so far it is tasting pretty good :thumb:

Peach - just my take on this. In the last few years I have found (even before vaping and quitting smoking) that the skin on my face had become more sensitive to the creams I was using - even when they were really expensive good creams. Found I had to even switch brands after 2 or 3 purchases of any brand.

Then when I quit smoking and started vaping - for a while it didn't seem to matter what brand of cream - I was having issues with a fine rash on my face. I too had increased my water intake - tried washing my face more often, then less often and nothing seemed to help.

So I just kept switching brands..... now it has been 2 1/2 years and I find that it is only if I am vaping a lot more than normal that I get some of the slight rash problem occurring again.

I started with 18mg high pg and found it way to harsh. I dropped right away to 15mg in 40pg/60vg. However, had to switch to 50/50 because when I first quit smoking I found higher vg left me with a heavy feeling in my chest and a lot of phlegm.

Now higher vg doesn't give me the heavy chest - just an increase in phlegm and feeling like I have to clear my throat a lot. I have decreased over time to 3mg but continue to pretty much stick with 50/50 and rarely some 40pg/60vg in a melon mix that seems to taste better with the higher vg.

So long story - but in my case I think the face/skin issues were because of an increased intake of both pg/vg and until my system adjusted I kind of had to just tough it out. I guess I should have tried not using any creams - didn't even think to try that.

Thanks Dancing - I have been reading (lurking) just not doing much talking. I am hoping with staying home for awhile now - maybe I can "visit" a little more often.

Funny how things go - I come from a family that had 4 girls then 2 boys. I then had 4 boys and 1 girl. Of my sisters the first 3 of us all had boys first and then the sister next to me stopped after 3 boys. So my Dad started complaining after 8 grandsons - was he ever going to get a granddaughter  He did eventually get 5 of them :)

Now history repeating in the opposite fashion - I thought I would never have a daughter and here we go with lots of granddaughters....

Ok enough talking ..... going to wear out my welcome
Thanks Kari  It's good to know that this, too, may pass. And yay on the Flamingo. I was enjoying it today, but parked it and just whipped up some peaches and Bavarian cream with lower nic. In the process, I lost all my e juice me up recipes....trying to figure that out

Ones that you added.......or ones that came with it? Those should all still be in the software, maybe just close it and reopen or something.

Never did find the post you did of the screen shot, but I may have missed it somehow

The ones that came with it. I was trying to save a recipe, and when I did, it caused my computer to link to my desktop whenever I click on the file tab. I dunno what I did. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it twice and still get the same result. Don't know what's going on.
Here's the Flamingo. Only I added a few drops of sweetener and a couple drops of lemon juice.

Question folk with sensitive skin might be able to address. Mine is ultra sensitive. Did not have any trouble vaping pre-mixed pg/vg in 70/30 with 18 mg nic. Made first DIY with new 99% pure 100mg/ml nic from Wizard. Crystal clear, no smell, slight taste. After vaping a good vape all day, by night my face was stinging. I tried a cool cloth, with no relief. No ENT problems. Just skin on face. I use Este Lauder morning moisturizer. At night, good old-fashioned Ponds cold cream, followed by moisturizer...My skin is seldom dry. Any thoughts? All I did different was bump the nic up to 20 mgs.

I like that idea. Always seems to burn a bit on that first hit every time. I was chain vaping the 20mg yesterday as I had at times on the 18 mg. After dinner, I got dizzy, woozie and had to go lie down. Could have been the tacos or the carbonated water or the vape...or the combination.
These are the exact symptoms when I have too much nic. Try bringing it back down. I only vape my higher nic when stressed. :)
I have read many works from obfuscating authors, if'n you know what I mean.
perhaps you could elucidate?

Oh dear Peach that does not sound good. Strangely I remember doing something to break the eJuice me up software back when I first started - however I can't remember what the problem was. I remember it had to do with the .dft and the fact that I had saved over it and possibly renamed it.

For me - my recipe files live in a folder under Program Files called Breaktru Software then in a folder called ejuice Me Up. I have no idea where the .dft actually saves - but I do remember that I had to re-create a default and then under File - select save as default. I think it creates it as Default.dft

So whenever I open up the software the first thing is the default page - I can then click on file and when I click open it goes to the folder ejuice Me Up.

It does take a bit to figure out the file saving - so I am not sure if this will help or not.

ETA: just thought I should also mention - when creating a new recipe - I was looking for a "save as" option and I think that is when I selected the save as default and overwrote it.

To save a new recipe - you have to select "save" then it will let you enter a new name to save it under. Not what I am used to in other programs - but that is how it works for me.

Welcome home Roto! Is this the long break for filling in for doofus? I'd tell you to get a good night's sleep but, that's pretty much over. :)

Nope. This is a six day break. The long break was last week, but I was ripping and running the last two days. Good night's sleep? Uh, no.... I did sleep most of the morning, however. Here it is almost 3 pm, and I'm still in "wake-up" mode. Just finished my coffee and still can't seem to get up and moving.

I wish I knew what to tell you. I never had trouble with dry skin on my face, but then, I'm climbing up in age. For me, it's my doggone lips and chin. Drink, hydrate, drink and drink some more. That's what I'm doing, but my lips still are dry, dry, dry.

Made a little Peachy Watermelon the other day that was nice. Was 6% of TFA Watermelon and 6% Loranns Peach.

Naw... I investigated 'em. They are bee friendly... Don't over draw the hives and don't constantly move the hives around.

Yup, but I bet you're referring to Burt's Bees, not Burst.... :p

I use their Almond Milk hand cream. Good stuff.

I guess we mustn't stray off topic too far but I love the friendly world of OpenSource. It's always a shock to stray into the shark infested waters of MS, Apple and co. I run Fedora and Mint, neither of which is perfect but, for a guy who started out on punched paper tape, they're astoundingly good. I run my mobile on Cyanogenmod (Android without the Google bits) but I find it a nightmare to use. At the moment I'm trying to find a place to share my Linux/LibreOffice version of Scubabatdan's fabulous mixing spreadsheet.
@Puffaway; here on the Back Porch it's impossible to go off topic.

Using an open-source OS is so foreign and unknown to me that you might as well be speaking English. However, can you briefly describe what you mean by "a place to share your version of the mixing spreadsheet"?

Sorta like English for speakers of Merican?

Isn't that amazing? After days of trying to get to the back porch I finally make it and there's someone ready and waiting to welcome me. American hospitality at its best!
Anyhoo, all I meant by a place to share my spreadsheet was somewhere on the interweb I could put the file so's folk could download it from a link on this forum. Nothing more fancy than that. (Here is that link if anyone's interested: LibreOffice version of Scubabatdan's Mixing Spreadsheet. Edit: Link removed due to vileness on hosting site!)
(Goodness, I used "folk" instead of "people". I'll do anything to fit in!)
