@leftyandsparky , I used it early on because my throat was torn up with it. It's reportedly smoother (although you can get "harsher" formulations, I think.) I wound up DIY with it, it hasn't been my perception that it's harder on coils, but I was using crazy high VG before I started DIY with nic salts, so it's hard to say.
If you want to try it without too much expense, most places will send a sample for the cost of shipping so if have anything else to order, you could include a sample with the order. I have had no complaints about nic river nic salts, they should come a very pale yellow and stay that way.
Nic salts are reportedly in some places "more rapidly bioavailable" but I have noticed ZERO difference other than being able to go way high on nic if a person wants. I have also heard they keep better for longer as they are more stable, again I have no idea.
Lastly if you want to convert your own, you can do so fairly easily I think, I know there is a thread (possibly closed by now) that talks about the process using citric acid I read part of that thread and it seemed the main issue folks were having was getting the citric acid to dissolve and then you need to get the Ph right but I don't know a ton about it.
I am not adverse to nicsalts but I only mix them at 18 mg/ml which is exactly how I vape regular nic. I finished out my stash with Heartland's cheapest nic offering but I was in a hurry and wanted to get it over with. Slightly harsher but not really an issue at this point and for me the cost savings were significant enough for me to just do it after trying their nic and making sure I could tolerate it, etc.
