I've always noticed that little "Top" feature, but never tried it. Have been "a scroller", too, myself.![]()
And likewise, I've noticed the up arrow but never really tried that here, either. I've just scrolled or searched as well.
That's the first and only time I've seen anyone refer to PG and VG as being "natural sweeteners". VG does have a slightly sweet taste to it, but to me, PG is definitely not sweet at all, and instead borders on slightly bitter.
I've also heard many times that people will refer to both pg & vg as being naturally sweet.
But it has always left me confounded when I hear that.
While VG is definitely quite sweet to me, pg is rather bitter and not sweet at all IME
But although I usually mix at around 70/30 or 80/20 pg/vg, I often have end mixes being all sweet and no bitter even if I may have used only 0.5% sucralose (of a 10% solution made from powder), when tasted directly on the tongue - which always surprises me to no end considering it's largely pg.
As far as a good natural sweetener though, you may want to consider getting some 50% glycoside Monkfruit extract powder. I got a small container for ~$30. While that's a bit more expensive than pure sucralose powder, IIRC - it will still last a very long time considering that you will use a 10% solution at 0.5% in a mix. I would say it seems to be on par with sucralose for sweetness, at least if you get the 50% glycosides version.
(Word of warning though.. Amazingly, it doesn't ship with a 'sealed' top, so when you go to unscrew the cap, a large amount will go all over the place. If I had to do it over again, I would say try opening it while using the cap as a cup to contain the spill - or, better yet, do it over a tray where you can recover the rather expensive spill.)
But with this thread being about what to stock up on for the oncoming vapocalypse, neither sucralose powder, nor Monkfruit powder would be on that list - along with pg & vg and generally flavorings. Unless we go to the Greek level of utmost supreme stupidity and ban food flavorings.
