Thanks! That is what I wasn't sure about is the watts, so they get set too along with temp. Anxious to try it. My two TC mods coming are a Jac and a Dicodes Dani Mini.

I suggest you start with the Jac. That will be the easiest one because the Dicodes uses Joules instead of watts and I have heard it can be confusing(I do not own one). Maybe asking this same question in the mods section or the building section of ecf would bring you much more info than I can supply here.

eta I think I forgot to mention in my last post that you start with picking the type of wire you are using. ie. Its is called the mode and pick ss if you are using the stainless steel.

Cool, I was reading about Joules and if you think of it as watts, you set it the same. Joules is watts per second. I think the Jac to start with is a good idea I do have orion pod that is temp control but no settings outside of esqribe.

The change of 1 W ( watt ) unit of power measure equals = to 1.00 J/s ( joule per second ) as the equivalent measure for the same power type. Energy is expressed in Jouleswhile power is expressed in Watts. And 1 Wattis defined as 1 Joule per second.

I’ve never used temp. I’ve always used kanthal and my provari and when I swapped to the Pico, it just carried over.

Do I have to buy wire? All I have is a mega roll of Kanthal and if I have to buy more wire I don’t think I would be interested.
I always thought you couldn’t use kanthal in temp, that’s why I’ve never tried it.

umm, some people do use different wires for different tanks. You have only 1 mod/tank setup you use?

You'll can still use it for non temp or sell some ?? I have a bunch of kanthal pre wrapped coils too, I'm hanging on to them

Chinese mystery-alloy stainless may not be the best choice for accurate TC. Accuracy depends on the TCR curve of the metal in the coil matching what the mod expects for that metal.
