Chinese mystery-alloy stainless may not be the best choice for accurate TC. Accuracy depends on the TCR curve of the metal in the coil matching what the mod expects for that metal.
Didn't think of that, I got SS316 I think.

I agree however, if you are buying from FT(or where ever) I have found a few good pre-wrapped ss-316L makers on FT. I like MKWS and have never had problems with any of their coils. UD is good also. So to me that lessens the probability of lesser quality material. just my 2 pennies.

Just 1 tank I use. Found what I liked and stuck with it.

Nothing wrong with this. I am still using the tanks I quit smoking with,

The power supply has changed up a bit. I still use the VV's as my going out setups, the bigger mods stay at home.

The problem with 316 is that it has a pretty low TCR to begin with, and small changes in composition produce relatively large changes in that low/small TCR. You can certainly use it, but if you really want to have confidence in your temperatures, you'll need to do some testing. I would suggest dry coil/wick scorching tests.

Not for someone first starting out-- these testings are for people who use mechs aren't they. I use FT coils all the time and have no problems.
