What do you guys use to transfer the nic to smaller bottles? Needle and syringe, funnel, what? What is best?
I pour a liter out into a 250 ml beaker then fill my glass bottles. That beaker spout makes it easy even though there's a bit more exposure to air. I do it cold right from the freezer as I use PG based concentrate.

Not sure how many years worth of coils I have but I think I’m good. I still have most of the tanks they go to, also.
3.5 years of Geek Vape Supermesh & Meshmellow coils for me
Could double that just by vaping 1/2 Subohm tanks and 1/2 rebuildables
I like what I like so when I find what I like I stock it when it's on sale
If I find something I like much better then there's always a market for coils

I love Mt Baker Vapor's Banana Cream Pie but they don't sell the DIY flavoring anymore. I saw that some of their e-liquids are discounted up to 70% - I checked BCP and Shazam! 30ml bottles of 0mg MAX VG for about $1.50/ea.

I had hoped they used 20% flavoring because that would have made modifying it at higher PG levels (for OP) easier but it seems like they use about 15%.

It's easy to mod it for myself because I use 10% flavoring 3mg Max VG.
After adding the correct amounts of VG nic, VG & distilled water it comes to about $2/60ml of finished e-liquid for one of my top 5 DIY flavors.

So I bought about a liter. A bunch has already gone up in vapor. Yum.

I used to have a bunch of aspire bvc coils but sold them to a friend when I stopped using those tanks. Now I just keep a bunch of rolls of different wires and a big pack of cotton pads. I did find some premade 316 flat braided coils that I really like and have about a hundred of those.

She's been vaping the same flavor in the same rig for over 4 years.
Once she finds what she likes she doesn't try to fix it.
We've been married over 15 years and I'm still the same PITA that I was.

Don't fix it if it ain't broke.

Why do you like them and where did you find them? Should I like them, too? You know me so well, you'll be able to answer that, right? ;)

Also, where should I get cotton?

What I need is a sampler pack of wicking material to see what I like.

I'm almost certain that someone here knows of a good spot for stuff like that. Kidney Puncher & Fat Daddy are the two that popped immediately into my head, but I've no idea if either offers such an option.

I don't know what you've been using, but you could PM me and I can send you a "mini" sampler, with rayon, cotton bacon v2, and kgd. To me, all cotton tastes the same, but kgd in sheets is SO easy to work with and cut consistent wicks, instead of pulling apart fibers. Rayon is fine, but imparts a little bit "sharper" taste to my NETs. And it's a little more difficult to work with, since it has to be so tight in the coils.

I’ve bought the coils a couple different places. Mostly from Fasttech.

    $3.56 (Free Shipping) Authentic Coilology 316L Stainless Steel Braided Pre-Coiled Wire (316L SS(braided), 32*40 AWG) at m.FastTech.com

I either use cotton pads that I bought a long time ago and have a lot left or I’ve been using some cotton threads. The Cotn ones are nice but kinda pricey in my opinion. I bought some at fasttech that I like but they are a little too fat for 3mm coils so I have to rake some cotton off before using them.

$4.62 (Free Shipping) Authentic PilotVape Cloud Cotton-Threads for RBA Atomizer (Cloud Cotton-Threads, 50pcs/pack) at m.FastTech.com

I hardly ever use drop ins anymore. I have 6-8 spools of wire I ought to go through. No idea what I even have now.

Yep...I agree 100% with your thinking. I have PM boxes full of boxes/bricks of coils, too. They don't "go bad", and as long as I have a stash of clearos and tanks that take each kind...I'll hang on to them. They're all ones that I plan to use for the longhaul and/or friends will.

This is so nice of you! God, people here are great.

I have been using nothing so far--never wicked a coil in my life. KGD is those little pads, right? They seem the most fool-proof to me, but then I know nothing.

If you try the KGD and like it...get in touch with me. I bought several packs, with 10 pads per pack...and then switched to Rayon immediately after I tried it for the first time.

I bought two kinds of Authentic Coilogy coils from FastTech (at your suggestion in the Random DIY thread, in fact): Authentic Coilology 316L Stainless Steel MTL Clapton Pre-Coiled Wire 316L SS, 28/40 AWG and Authentic Coilology 316L Stainless Steel MTL Fused Clapton Pre-Coiled Wire 316L SS(fused clapton), 2*30/40 AWG. Seems like they'd need pretty tiny wicks. If the cotton threads you buy are too bulky for your coils, it seems as though they'd be way, way too big for mine (again, speaking as an ignoramus).

It has never made sense to me to vape more PG, VG, and flavorings to get the same amount of nic.
I find the flavor is so much better with very low nic. With anything above 6mg, the nic becomes one of the flavorings. And nic itself isn't a flavor I care for much.

Yeah, but when you get it right, it lasts practically forever, so over a long period of time, it's actually less work because you're re-wicking so infrequently.
