Are you done stocking up?

I've been thinking about that myself lately. I vape at low power with around 1.2 to 1.4 coils, 8mg nic, so I don't get through a huge amount of nic. But I do vape a lot and worry a bit about sucking in large quantities of VG and PG.

Thing is I don't really want to move to a high nic hit once in a while just to get my nic dose. It's more a fun thing than a nic delivery system at this point. I want to have a vape in my hand wherever I go so I can take a drag whenever I feel like it.

Lately I've been trying to train myself to inhale it into my mouth and exhale through my nose so less makes it down to my lungs. It satisfies the need but I haven't been able to get into the habit regularly.

I did make a few changes. I've keep several KFL's in use. But I also have 2 Lemos and a STM, which burn through juice a lot faster. I've put those up on a shelf in my office. Now I mostly use the KFL's and get one of the others down once in a while for a treat. Also reduced the level of flavoring in my juice.

I think it's a valid thing to think about, sucking large amounts of PG VG and flavoring deep in the lungs. Not enough to make me consider not vaping but enough to make a few changes seem like a good idea.

I mostly vape 6 mg dl, but I also keep a Flint with 25 mg salts handy. Sometimes it is all about the nic for me still.

I find I don’t get edgy if I can’t vape for hours on end, like I did with smoking, but it’s still nice to get my fix when I don’t have time to vape at my leisure.

i have

1 main mod (dna75)
2 spare dna75 boards
1 backup dna75 mod, in case of sending off for repair
1 mech, just in case

BUT, they are all 18650
i'm sure lots here remember how easy to get 14500 batteries were, and how now, they are not at all

so, that is a worry

I DIY unflavoured, and in a pinch, can extract my own WTA at a strength that would do me

i'm reasonably confident with that

You'll get the hang of it. Once you do, it'll be automatic for you. I always inhaled my ciggy smoke for the 42+ years I smoked. Since I first started vaping though...the only time I inhale to my lungs, is the rare occasion when a couple sub-ohm, DTL, high wattage, monster cloud blowing friends want to see a "puny" cloud and have a good laugh. Other than that, vapor makes it to the back of my throat and that's it, before I exhale it through my nose and/or mouth a second or so later. There's no problem getting the nic benefit from it at all.

I actually may cut back to 2% nic in my mixes since I chain vape and just found out that another heart condition I have is aggravated by nicotine. It’s not a big drop from 3% but the nic I have will last a bit longer then.
2% is 20mg
.2% is 2mg

What do you guys use to transfer the nic to smaller bottles? Needle and syringe, funnel, what? What is best?
All done over the sink, I just pour it right in.
From a Liter to 250's isn't usually a problem.
VG from a 250 out of the freezer into a 60 takes more patience and accuracy.
If some gloops over the edge I just finish, cap & wash it under the tap.

First time out I used a funnel. But I get the nic in VG and it's so thick it was taking 10 mins for the funnel to empty. Someone suggested cutting most of the tip off the funnel and that helped a little. Someone else suggested warming the nic up in a warm water bath which also helped a little. It was still a major pain. And it's particularly hard to get the last half inch in the small bottle from a funnel.

I gave up on that and started just pouring directly from the large bottle into the smaller bottle. Tends to leave a few drips down the outside. I do it in a large plastic tub so the drips don't escape, and keep plenty of paper towels handy. When I'm finished I wipe the bottles down with a damp paper towel. I don't even wear gloves any more. Get a few drips on my fingers but it never caused me any problems.

I've only bought 5 liters in my vaping life so I only had to rebottle from 1 liter bottles to 1/2 liter bottles 5 times, and I might do it one more time. And a few times from 1/2 liter to 120 ml bottles. I guess if it was a more regular thing I would probably put a bit of effort into figuring out a more scientific technique.

I don’t see me cutting back on the amount I vape. I smoked and now vape from stress and boredom. I’m unable to work due to health problems so I’m home all day. It’s very easy to go thru 25-30 mls of juice for me on a typical day.

If I ever get back to work I obviously won’t have the time to vape that much!

I pour directly from one bottle to another. You could practice.

Mix some PG/VG without nic or flavoring and pour from one bottle to the other a few times. Eventually you learn where to position the openings and how to remain steady. Don't take your eyes away from the work even for an instant.

Haven't bought anything in a while, and got an email from Vape supersaver with an oops! code because they had some problem with their ordering process the other day. I had run out of my little Aspire BVC coils in my ready to use tin and didn't feel like digging through the closet to find the big stash, so I ordered eight packs at a deep discount just to have them, something like 3$ & change for priority shipping, so now I have about a years supply at the ready without having to dig through the dreaded closet :D life is good :thumb::cool::vapor:

It has never made sense to me to vape more PG, VG, and flavorings to get the same amount of nic.

The only time I had a work situation like that was for a couple of years in the early 90s, and it didn't last long.

I too started at 18, with occasional hits of 24. After a few months, I cut the 18 down to 15 and stayed there for several years. I'm now all the way down to 13, but don't feel like going lower, because my sense after dropping from 15 to 13 a half a mg/ml at a time is that I'll just vape more to compensate.

I'm so much like you that I think I shall become surly. And a curmudgeon.

I buy 100mg/ml nic in 75pg/25vg mix for my 70pg/30vg DIY use. I've always poured from the Liter into a funnel for splitting up 100mg/ml nic base into 240ml glass bottles for the freezer. I keep a 240ml glass bottle in the fridge rolled up in paper towels inside a zip lock for DIY sessions. I don't have to wait so long for it to reach usable temp since it's high PG.

There is a "how to use Excel" class at my work's university (yea they have one for all sorts of topics) and it sells out every time. I have considered it.

Only coils now and 10 Eleaf invokes and then I really am "done" stocking up. For reals. Oh I will buy stuff, but for fun.

Also unless there is a drop in tank better than the second coming of Christ that appears I am sticking to new RTAs only after that. Probably. Three is enough of different types of coils.

Not sure how many years worth of coils I have but I think I’m good. I still have most of the tanks they go to, also.
