It took me many years to go down from 36 to 24 to 20(stuck there a long time) and now down to 12mg. I really don’t see myself getting any lower. I go through less during the work week but more on weekends but average about 3-4ml a day.

I'm wondering about high nic juice vs low nic and vaping more juice at low levels. That means we are vaping more PG and VG. Which is worse, vaping low nic in high volumes or vaping less juice at high nic?
It has never made sense to me to vape more PG, VG, and flavorings to get the same amount of nic.
It would be nice to vape high nic for a few minutes like we used to when we went out for a smoke break and be satisfied for a while.
The only time I had a work situation like that was for a couple of years in the early 90s, and it didn't last long.

I was in commercial print shops and computer rooms most of the day servicing 90 to 180 page per minute laser printers. Of course, I had to run out to the break area to smoke. It was an excuse to take a 20 minute break every couple of hours. Between calls I was free if the pager was quiet. No one cared what I did as long as I was caught up. It was a great job for 36 years until I retired.

I started at 24mg to stop smoking and stayed there for years. Once I started dropping nic I just ordered a lower nic juice and stepped down in increments to 3mg. That was easy, but I started vaping more. Shortly afterward I saw the need to DIY and cut the juice bill.

I was still smoking when I retired and began vaping soon afterward, early 2010. I found ECF quickly as I began to search out info on vaping.

I completely agree. I have stuck with my 18mg/ml strength since the day I gave up....I suspect if you analysed the chain vaper they would all be on varying low strength amounts. After all nic doesn't do you much physiological harm.

Yay, I just bought 4 liters of 100 mg/ml nic from Nude Nicotine. I am just such a sucker for like, nic in glass bottles already that I do not have to decant.

I think I'm pretty set now. It wasn't even that much, after the code, honestly, like $215 dollars..... That really is NOT a lot to pay for peace of mind.

I will probably buy more at some point but not anytime soon. I think I'm definitely covered.

Now, to argue with the husband over freezer space....

Happiness. All I need is coils, and I'm pretty set in case hell freezes over (that's when I'm hoping I need it.)

Still insurance against politics is a great idea. Man, that would make for a fantastic company name, actually. "Insurance Against Politics." And it's job function would be to obtain you like, unobtainable items. I would be good at that, I daren't even SAY some of the stuff I have gotten into this country, from like, outside it.

But, yeah, that would mean a lot of stuff and red tape that would make it literally impossible and it's not that felonies are so bad, but getting caught pulling them off... .That really is the suck.

So, I wave my fiery sword about and say "GET NIC, brother and sisters of the keep Vaping Alive and the FDA dead."

I mean, it's not like I won't use it. Even if nic never gets banned, I will still use it. Etc. The only reason I can justify not getting nic is space issues and even then I say, get a small beanbag chair, ditch the couch, and buy a nic freezer.

The only REAL justification to not stock up (IMHO) is like, if you vape 0 nic.

It really isn't. Put that in perspective. That's 10-20 years worth of nic for most people. So roughly $10-20 per year for peace of mind. I'd say that's dirt cheap.

I too started at 18, with occasional hits of 24. After a few months, I cut the 18 down to 15 and stayed there for several years. I'm now all the way down to 13, but don't feel like going lower, because my sense after dropping from 15 to 13 a half a mg/ml at a time is that I'll just vape more to compensate.

What kind did you get? I was looking at the different versions available.

IMO, Armor V1 is the best for long-term storage. Glass bottles, argon-purged, ready to put in the freezer, as-received. I'll personally vouch for it being "good as new" after five years.

I just got the regular cheapest stuff. It has been my experience that a) now my respiratory system has cleared up, I can vape whatever nic and b) I am not that discerning when it cones to taste and flavor and I really can't tell a flavor difference unless it's salt nic. Plus I have heard good things about NN, so I did what I do and like, ordered the least expensive.

I mean my last liter was FINE without a special decanter thingy. Etc.

I have used NN for quite a while in my mix, I don't see any reason for me to switch.

In the time it would take to use all of that nicotine, how many cigarettes would be consumed and what would that cost be? Being a man of words as opposed to numbers I'll that answer for my betters.

I was kind of forced into reducing nic when I came across a commercial juice that was a must have and they didn't do it above 6mg/ml.....it turned me into a chain vaper practically overnight....no, no, no not going there again ;)

It depends: Commercial? Premium brand or budget? RYO? How confiscatory are the local tobacco taxes.

I'll answer for myself: I was smoking Camel Turkish Silver. My old habit was costing almost $5k per year back in 2013. I'm sure it would well over that now, but $5k is a nice, round number, so I'll use it. A liter of nic lasts me a bit over four years. So Anna's $215 nic order would replace $80,000 worth of cigarettes for me.

Personally, I would just add some nic to it. :sneaky:

I've been vaping 3mg juice for years at 10ml a day. Recently, I started experimenting with 12mg to stop the chain vaping. It didn't take long to get a buzz from 4x nic and I felt comfortable laying the vape down. I suppose I'll get used to the 12mg and start hitting it more often, but it's worth a try.

I vaped 24mg juice to get off the cigs about 9 years ago. Back then an eGo and a Joye 510 was good at that level for quitting smoking.

I'm wondering about high nic juice vs low nic and vaping more juice at low levels. That means we are vaping more PG and VG. Which is worse, vaping low nic in high volumes or vaping less juice at high nic? I'm thinking that high nic would simulate the way we smoked. It would be nice to vape high nic for a few minutes like we used to when we went out for a smoke break and be satisfied for a while.

I've been thinking about that myself lately. I vape at low power with around 1.2 to 1.4 coils, 8mg nic, so I don't get through a huge amount of nic. But I do vape a lot and worry a bit about sucking in large quantities of VG and PG.

Thing is I don't really want to move to a high nic hit once in a while just to get my nic dose. It's more a fun thing than a nic delivery system at this point. I want to have a vape in my hand wherever I go so I can take a drag whenever I feel like it.

Lately I've been trying to train myself to inhale it into my mouth and exhale through my nose so less makes it down to my lungs. It satisfies the need but I haven't been able to get into the habit regularly.

I did make a few changes. I've keep several KFL's in use. But I also have 2 Lemos and a STM, which burn through juice a lot faster. I've put those up on a shelf in my office. Now I mostly use the KFL's and get one of the others down once in a while for a treat. Also reduced the level of flavoring in my juice.

I think it's a valid thing to think about, sucking large amounts of PG VG and flavoring deep in the lungs. Not enough to make me consider not vaping but enough to make a few changes seem like a good idea.

Ooo…. DId I not get glass nic?? That would be a big pain I better check my order. Hmm I can't tell....

    Anna

I'm just getting ready to make an order at NN. I believe it's only the Armor version that comes in glass. I got some of their regular nic last year and it came in plastic. Glass bottles are pretty cheap though and it doesn't take long to transfer it over.

You might be able to change your order. It takes them quite a while to prepare orders.
