Any sales for PG, VG going on currently? I missed ecx's yesterday.

PG usp is always available if you have a local tractor supply store, around $20/gallon; I've been using it for 9 years with no complaints. VG usp I get off Amazon, about the same price; last couple of orders I've picked up the Nature's Oil USP Vegetable Glycerine, again no complaints.

(Don't sweat the "Oil" - it's just the brand name)

I'm looking at Bulk Apothecary for PG, VG, they sell by the #. What is a gallon equal to in #'s?

Their PG is 8lbs. per gallon jug and the VG is 10lbs. per gallon jug. I buy all of mine there.

That's why many of us stocked up on a drop in coil tank and stocked coils too. I also have plenty of cartos and carto tanks too

About 10 lbs for (VG is denser than water), 8 lbs for PG (PG is about the same density as water).

I'll be wrapping my own coils until I'm too blind to do it. But by then I'll be too blind to install them. Then what will I do?

That is why I am saving my drop in coils as long as possible.

A 4" piece makes 2 wicks for me but I waste a lot. Probably could get that down to more of a science.
Not all salons do perms and you cant be sure that they arent using the rayon/cotton mix type. I wouldnt try that.

I cut the rayon in pieces 1 1/2" long then split them in two lengthwise. I could get 3 wicks out of each piece if I could divide them into 3 exactly equal parts but that's hard to do. And the stuff is so cheap anyway.

I don't think I could get away with the salon trick, not too well endowed in the hair department. Guess I could go in for a head polishing.

Find a young person and get them to set up all your RTA's once a week/month? That's my plan when I've run out of drop-in coils.

That might be a good side hustle for lawn guys and pool guys.

It would be easier to answer with pictures. But I run them through my fingers pulling strands off to get down to the thickness I want, then twist one end to a point that I can stick through the coil. Sometimes it took 3 or 4 tries to get it right but I've done it so many times now that it's a doddle.

Your coils must be something to see
