@JCinFLA or anyone else know where to get vape bands for 17mm or smaller tanks? One of my 17mm Smok tanks came with like 2 each, but I also use them on my Triton minis and they get stretched out over time (hence the reason why the one I lost slipped off). I have a pack of 20 vape bands but they only fit my bigger tanks like the Hellbeast and others.

EDIT: I see some 16mm on fasttech, which would work, but they have lanyard loops... I suppose I could trim those off.

I've been known to wrap rubber bands around them

alternatively you might find thick orings that would work

FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics

The ones saying 13 ID x 16 OD might work, when stretched.

Unfortunately, I ordered those 2 times recently (last time just last month). Both times they sent me 19mm or 20mm rings inner diameter bands, which would not fit any tank 19mm or smaller (didn't bother me too much since I need larger ones for my 22mm tanks anyway). So your mileage may vary.

You might want to take a look on DHGate to see if anyone is selling bands for 17mm tanks or smaller. You'll have to order a minimum of 50 or 100, but then this is a vapocalypse thread :)

I gave up with looking for smaller bands because the only 19mm or smaller tanks I have that need protection are my Subtank Nanos and those are not really considered part of my long term vapocalypse stash for various reasons (unless I can find some more used clone RBAs for them, which it looks like I won't).

I have many other thanks that are vapocalypse ready. When the ST Nanos become unusable, they will be cannibalized for parts, if possible.

Guess I should've known better then to buy a Smok mod.

I hear ya, I'd take my chances on a Cloupor before I by Smok products.

My experience with Smok has been that they know how to make great looking stuff, but "under the hood" it's just all junk.

YMMV, though, because lots of people swear Smok is the greatest.

DHGate had 100 for $10, but I already ordered 30 from fasttech... I will see if they send the right size, if not I have a backup. Thanks!

I have had mixed results. My 2 Aliens I can't kill even though I would like to as I really don't like them. The X-Force I had didn't last a month before it was leaking all over the place and erratically not firing.

BTW if anyone has a working x-force I have 2.5 boxes of .6 ohm coils for it free to a good home.

YEP - And almost any office supply store has them in varying sizes and colors - personally I prefer to be able to double them up on a larger tank sometimes too . . . Matter of fact, you don't have to worry whether or not they fit the tank either . . . Just double them up - home made "Tank Bumper" guard (Ya' know like a Baby Buggy Bumper ;) ) . . .

Here is just one link to get a 1/2 lb bag of them for only $4.99:
(That's a lot of Rubbe rbands - so it should be enough for all the tanks Ya' have . . .   )

Amazon: Alliance Rubber Bands Assorted Dimensions 227G/Approx. 400 Rubber Bands, Multi Color, 1/2 lb

For those that have used them before does VapeSourcing take forever to send out orders? I ordered on the first and it has been sitting at processing ever since.
My first order ever from them was 11/29 and it is showing Out for Delivery today (seattle area). Vaporl takes a lot longer from my experience.

I just ordered those for a totally different reason... lol To bind my coils for each type of tank together into batches for easier organizing.

Heck, I have had 3 Cloupor Minis in service for about 6 years now. Yes, the original release had some, uh, issues  with the onboard charger, but they were actually quick to admit to it and make changes. While mine are all second release, well, I only use external charging anyway, on ALL my mods. Heck, for me that's one of the reasons for replaceable battery mods, no waiting :)

At the (vape) shop there for a while I had to stay on the forums to make sure new inventory we were getting weren’t bombs waiting to happen. It was bad enough teaching enthusiastic young people about mech safety (and hopefully deterring some of them away from that option). That Cloupor, sadly, didn’t make the cut, and sat in our cabinet for a couple of years. Even after the newer ones came out I advised my manager away from them. I just couldn’t sell them with a clear conscience. That being said, I am SUPER happy they fixed that issue, as they were very cute, and for that time, innovative for that size. It’s a shame. I would have loved one.
