Well, that explains why the credit card option disappeared from my checkout windows, I thought it was specific to my account, related to me not sending in a photo of my card when they asked for it.

That's why I prefer to use Paypal. I never will give my credit card details to a Chinese retailer or other overseas retailer let alone send an image of my card to them. There are many horror stories about people who use credit cards on foreign sites.

I know that a lot of vapers hate paypal, but they really are a much safer option and they are not to blame for not allowing US vendors to use Paypal for vape transactions. It is the banks who dictate what can and cannot be bought through 3rd party systems. PP is merely a middleman, so they have to comply. Paypal would allow the sale of just about anything if they could, that is how they make money. There is no 3rd party payment processor that allows the sale of "tobacco products", it's not just paypal. And it's like that for a reason.

I'm bringing this up because I know there are many on the FT forum and elsewhere that say they do not and will not ever use paypal to pay, even if they don't need a pp account. Well, there's nothing that can be done about it. Use pp or lose out.

I was thinking about 10 yrs from now, what will be the weak link in our stash. I'm thinking insulators for our RBA/RTA/RDA's and 510 threads. Tank glass would be another.

that’s why I order extra glass for any RTAs that I really like.

I got frustrated and ordered a single Breeze replacement pod for $2.97 and paid $3.78 shipping from VaporL. Still cheaper than the $10 per pod most US sites wanted.

Thanks for all the information, just sounded like more trouble than it was worth.

    Speaking of taxes...
I ordered something from My Freedom Smokes and was charged sales tax.
I knew they did not have a store in Florida and they are in SC.
When I asked, this is what they said:
"We’re required to collect sales tax in every state now"
This is new to me, haven't had other US vendors charge sales tax if they are not located in my state.

It depends on their accountant. Some will tell their clients to charge sales tax for every state (at the buyer's state sales tax rate) and submit it quarterly to that state, while other accountants will tell their clients to let the customer worry about it.

Any state that has a sales tax usually calls it a "sales and use tax" or something similar. Meaning, if the retailer is out of state and does not charge the tax at the time of sale, it is up to the consumer to pay the "use tax" (which is the same rate as the sales tax) to the state by filling out the proper form and remitting the tax. The down side to paying the use tax instead of the sales tax is that some states demand that you include the shipping price in your total cost.

I won't buy from any online retailer who does not have a presence in my state but charges me sales tax. Let me worry about it :)

Well I am done buying mods for sure. Pretty much done for drop in coils, I want to learn to rebuild the drop in's. Tanks I will probably still be getting RTA's & parts for my stash.

Youtube is your friend for learning how to rebuild coils. But realise that not all coils can be rebuilt. If they are made in such a way that you cannot take them apart, then you're SOL.

I'm pretty much done too. I ordered a Hammer clone for Nostalgia, and a Vaporesso Tarot Nano kit just because I've wanted one for awhile. It's internal battery, but that mod is sharp looking. At $14.95 for the kit at eightvape, I decided to add it to the shiny collection.

Other than that, I was thinking of picking up some Zeus tanks in case I get tired of squonking and some replacement glass for them. I'm into single coils, which Zeus does that better? Is it the original, or the X? And does anyone have a link to good prices on the tanks?

Well I was really enjoying my Smok D-Barrel, but then the Smok curse kicked in. The button keeps sticking on it. It's only been used for maybe an hour in total. Guess I should've known better then to buy a Smok mod. :(

Is Squid made by Smok? Kind of confused.

Honestly the best price I've seen on the Zeus X is at eightvape for $18.95 before coupons. The only place I've seen the OG single coil one is on MyVaporStore. Maybe some of our super shoppers can comment with better options and information.

Well I am trying a rewick on the Berserker coil. The new coil lasted about 2 wks. I took the coil out and cleaned off the carbon gunk and put in some rayon. Took a pic so I don't forget what I did LOL Now to see if it works. It was easy to pull out the pin and gasket, now to put it back together. I need some thinner wire to make a new coil. Similar mod names, two VERY different companies. Squid is an American company founded by a Navy vet.

My latest order from FT was shipped via DHL even though I did not choose DHL, I chose "USPS Expedited for Battery Products ". DHL is it's own separate selection and costs more money.

Anyhow, after reading some older posts in this thread, looks like DHL might bill me $30 or so for import taxes and "admin costs" about a month or so from now.

I hope for their sake they don't bother trying to collect because I won't pay it.

I certainly don't need any more mods or really anything else (I think).

But I would love to have a Jackaroo or 2.

But I have to save my money to buy some nic base.
I have a Jackaroo I would part with when you are ready, I got it on sale :)

The coil worked but not sure about the rayon, may have to use cotton because I over primed it and coil flooded so took it out and will try again later. But I am thrilled it fired :) PS the Berserker coil is easier to fiddle with than the Nautilus I think, but haven't reworked a Nauti coil yet.

Just keep trying, you'll find that sweet spot for building it soon.

This is specific to some larger bottles I get from fasttech, for use with 2x700 squonkers. The bottles have an air inlet port on the cap neck, used if you do normal bottle refilling (pull the bottle to refill).

I vastly prefer filling with a 510 refill bottle, so I seal the little inlet hole on the bottle cap neck, as well as the rotating collar (that exposes the hole). That inlet hole can act as a leak point if you do 510 refilling.

In the photo, the tab sticking out on the right of the bottle neck is what you can use to rotate the collar and expose the air inlet hole. The little bit of white at the bottom is some dried sealant.

The bottle cap still unscrews normally, if i want to rinse it or change tubing.

    To seal it:
    Remove the bottle cap
Slide the collar up and off
Put a tiny dab of NSF (food/water safe) sealant where you see the hole, from the outside
    Slide the collar back on
Wipe off excess sealant at the base of the collar
    Let it set overnight

Wow! Thanks for that info :)
