I don't think you can go wrong with Provari, I have 4 nowI was curious as to how long a provari would last, since I've only had mine since x-mas(bought for hubby but stole it). I'm so glad I drank tbe kool-aid and bought a provari!

They appear to have the ability to last longer than they've been made. I have a pile in my stash for that reason.I was curious as to how long a provari would last, since I've only had mine since x-mas(bought for hubby but stole it). I'm so glad I drank tbe kool-aid and bought a provari!
I have 4 too! But I like to get 6 to rotate aroundI don't think you can go wrong with Provari, I have 4 now![]()
I just ordered more springs, I didn't think of that! ThanksThere is a lot of contradictory advice on this subject,. Which is why I carefully chose "forum consensus". I can't say a paperclip is wrong...
It might be a good idea to buy some spare springs for your Provari. While they are cheap and available. I've used a pencil to clean the spring end, and routinely stretch it a bit.
Never hurts to get moreI have 4 too! But I like to get 6 to rotate around
The Provari Radius does not use a user replaceable spring... only their tube modsI'm starting to feel like a chicken running around with his legs cut off.
I was quite happy with my little vape pen set-up until May 9th. Now I'm having to learn new stuff, what I like and don't like, and stocking up for the future. I never considered DIY, but have tried to get the kits and nic for the vape-specific things. The thing that keeps getting me is that I think I'm good, and then someone in here mentions something I didn't know about.
I got some of the 2.5 Provari's that seem like they should work, but I had already bought some Pico's and learned that I can't use the same batteries and coils on them. So now I have to get 2 kinds of stuff. No biggie, I got the coil building set and some RBA's for Melo and Aspire tanks, and hope that I can build my own 1+ coils and use the tanks on either.
I got Triton Mini tanks after deciding I really prefer tootle puffing, but the kit has 1.2 and 1.8 Ohm coils. I don't like the Clapton coils, so what do I do with them--doomsday box, or learn to like them? The Melo came with a .5 and .3 coil. I like the .3 ones, and had a bad time with the .5, so doomsday box for those too?
I finally ordered a Provari Radius so that I could have the box like the Pico and the Tanks like the Triton. It uses the same flat batteries, so I hope I'm good, but waiting for the next surprise. Oops! Someone above just mentions I might need to stock some replacement springs for the Provari's.
I may not need any of this stuff if my head explodes before the vapocalypse from all the stocking up stress. All I wanted to do was be a happy little tootle puffer. Now, if you don't mind, I have to go knit a few rows to calm myself down.![]()
Thanks! I have 4 of the 2.5's, so I only need to get some for them. Is there anything I should watch for on the Radius? I ordered one of the ego converter things in case I'm down to having to use the clearo's from the vape pen and rebuilding those old coils. The Provari Radius does not use a user replaceable spring... only their tube mods
Well shoot. I was looking at pulling the trigger on a few of these. Looking for something that's really going to last. I need at least 40 watts. The Provari Radius does not use a user replaceable spring... only their tube mods
In my Humble Opinion, if you bought the Radius as a stockpile item, I would minimize the amount of battery swapping you do. The negative connection to the battery is a flat disk, attached to a wire. Each time the battery is swapped that wire is stressed where it connects to the internal stuff. Eventually it could break. As long as Provape is in business that is not a big deal at all because they are very good about fixing their stuff. But in a post-vapocalyptic world that may not be feasible. Thanks! I hear you! I thought I was done, but ordered more care products, springs today, eek guess I won't ever be truly done. I still haven't built a coil yet! I need to get busy! I crochet so I know we need our unwind timeI'm starting to feel like a chicken running around with his legs cut off.

@cats5365 - One more thought on the Radius. Particularly for the purposes of stockpiling, I don't want to rely on a Micro-USB port for charging. I much prefer a simple and fast user replaceable battery system, such as the Provari 2.5, Classic and P3. While in theory you don't need to use that port, I think that wire I talked about needs to be considered. So one more reason the Radius is not my most preferred vape-a-geddon stockpile mod.In my Humble Opinion, if you bought the Radius as a stockpile item, I would minimize the amount of battery swapping you do. Because I go through roughly 3 18650's a day, regardless of the mod, I don't find the Radius ideal for my day to day use. But I'm obviously a heavy vaper. I guess I'm glad it's in my stockpile because I like vaping at 25-30W (more than my P3 can handle) but it's not quite ideal for me. I do think it should last a long time though (aside from any possible issues with that wire).

yes some of that coil work is impressive! Me I just want a simple single coil and I will keep my artsy stuff in crochet work LOL!Oooh, if you can crochet, be sure to check out the coil pron thread. The stuff that gets braided/twisted/wrapped/threaded will keep you busy for hours at end. Me? I'm lucky I can do a simple coil around a small screwdriver.
That is what I picked 2.5 mini's a Classic and a P3 although the Procyon looks really cool, I decided to put my money on RBA's and RTA's and some mech's too.@cats5365 - One more thought on the Radius. And I need to stress that it is a great mod, it just doesn't meet certain criteria I have, both for an every day mod and a forever stockpile mod. The best I've come up with is something like an Evic VTC Mini, which I use for my everyday mod because it basically does what I need and I like the footprint. I am not real confident on long term reliability, but I can buy 5 for the price of one Radius or P3, so it makes for an interesting compromise that I am still struggling with.
I don't understand your comment. The Procyon has something that appears to be even better than a spring and does not even have a USB port. The only reason I don't have a Procyon is part the price but also that I simply prefer a single 18650 box mod footprint. And I might yet talk myself into oneThat is what I picked 2.5 mini's a Classic and a P3 although the Procyon looks really cool, I decided to put my money on RBA's and RTA's and some mech's too.
Yes the Procyon price, I'd like one But bought other needed RTA's and RBA's instead. I have to spread my money aroundI don't understand your comment.
