@cats5365 - One more thought on the Radius. Particularly for the purposes of stockpiling, I don't want to rely on a Micro-USB port for charging. I much prefer a simple and fast user replaceable battery system, such as the Provari 2.5, Classic and P3. While in theory you don't need to use that port, I think that wire I talked about needs to be considered. So one more reason the Radius is not my most preferred vape-a-geddon stockpile mod.

And I need to stress that it is a great mod, it just doesn't meet certain criteria I have, both for an every day mod and a forever stockpile mod. The best I've come up with is something like an Evic VTC Mini, which I use for my everyday mod because it basically does what I need and I like the footprint. I am not real confident on long term reliability, but I can buy 5 for the price of one Radius or P3, so it makes for an interesting compromise that I am still struggling with.

I was concerned about the USB port as well, but after watching the pbusardo review, felt like it was worth a try. I've got several Picos for the stash, and hope the Radius will work as a daily driver. It just shipped today, so I will have to see what it is like when I get it home. I like the boxy shapes that are bottom heavy for sitting on a desk.

The 2.5's worry me about them rolling off the desk and crashing to their deaths. I have not come up with a stand or holder for the 2.5's yet, and have several very helpful kitties that would love to do gravity experiments with them.

I really want to avoid the mech. mods for the safety reasons. I don't trust myself to follow all of the rules to use them safely right now. Even making my own coils and liquid is pushing my comfort zone, and I really hope I am not forced to go there, but those things can get put away as insurance, and maybe someday pulled out when I'm in a better frame of mind.

Provape used to sell some very nice stands for their tube mods. But they appear to have dropped them. If you search around you can find stands or if you can get a small block of wood drilled they are easy to make.

Mrs. Mowgli has dropped her ProVari mini out of bed onto the hardwood floor almost every night for over 2 years. I knew she would occasionally (hah! every freakin night!) so it's always had a leather sleeve.
Still works perfectly although there are a few Nautilus mini steel mesh tanks in the landfill.

The flexi-sleeve is an unfortunate idea (who wants a pound of mod hanging from their neck?) but that clip-ring keeps it from rolling.
I used SGL sleeves on my ProVari 2's and they're attractive, well made protection.
I wasn't impressed with the lightweight P3 sleeves for protection but they're still better than nothing. Their P2 sleeves are all that and a bag of Sun Chips.

So what do you think, is it worth shrink wrapping some mods to keep them fresh?? Will it keep the connections cleaner so they don't corrode ? Reason I ask is because my old Provari has been setting around in a box for years, been using dedicated batts for convience, and the connections have corroded. How many are shrink wrapping with those keep dry packets?
i have a ton of 'rubber matting'.. you could use the shelf liner stuff. i put my stuff in plastic divided cases (think hobby/fishing gear storage) with small packets of desiccant below,, avoiding any chance of it filling up and dripping DOWN) these plastic bin all stack into a med/large make-up/shaving bag. i live in Houston,, at times we have to 'bug out' for hurricanes.. my vape is packed and ready to go..........having it packed and ready to go also means it doesnt get to live the life of a display model.....but it gives me piece of mind that i only have to grab my laptop bag with all critical paperwork, my vape gear and the dogs & husband. i can toss clothes in a backpack and start 'a new' if need be.
i have been shopping for ejuice large batch containers,, i appreciate nicer things,, but glass doesnt always travel well. so i have been thinking of batches in the stainless water bottles...........toss them in the bag and i should be good if i have to live (another) several months like a homeless person (after hurricane conditions--we lost everything)

The tatroe end cap makes a 2.5 super sturdy on a flat surface. Also on sale for $8.
Tatroe ProVari Wide End Cap with Spring

I saw those Vape Nutts (the industrial nuts) on eBay and Etsy. I didn't know they had a web site. I had actually considered getting one.
They work great and are kinda cool. $16 for a nut you can buy at a home Depot for a buck and a bit of moulded rubber may be hard for many to justify though.

Here is a good test of a mod laying around for years with no special treatment! I pulled out my original Provari mini, cleaned the contact, cleaned the threads, cleaned the spring. The display worked but could not get it it to fire. I pulled off the tank I had on it 1.7 ohm. Then I cleaned off the 510 contact, it was really dark, had to use the paper clip to scrap off burned on juice, then used an alcohol on Q tip for final cleaning of 510. Dug out a carto, and wah la, it fired up :) Carto I picked was pig sap, eek not my fav but still worth using for a test fire. Gotta love a Provari :) I have not used it in 3 1/2 yrs at least, I did have it in a plastic baggie but no good cleaning before storage. I am thrilled it is still working after my neglect to it! Will order the detox gold and no ox grease to take better care of my mods!

I found the date I bought this mini: 04/07/2012
you could go to walmart/autozone and get some electrical contact cleaner stuff. mine is CRC Electrical Cleaner (i think it was $7) i use it on all kinds of things with plugs....you cant imagine how much salty air corrodes your stuff,, light bulb bases, electrical cords/christmas lights. threadings to you name it.

I've actually been tempted to knit some socks for mine just because I can (and the yarn stash would put all of your vape stashes to shame :D) I discovered the Pico fits perfectly in my old Ciggy case that I made back in the day.

This is kind of like what I was thinking about for down the line. I had those 3-hole stands for the vape pens that I really liked, and thought something similar would be what I would want for the 2.5's. Did you get this from a 3-d print service, or was someone selling them already made up?

I got a tatroe stand from the blem sale, but haven't tried to use it IRL because I would need the short battery instead of the longer ones.

I made vape holders out of candle holders, the large tea light size and glued them onto a plate and another in a decorative tile, works great!

i made stands by gluing large tea light candle holders to a tile or plate. I also did one using crystal napkin rings :) But you can use any napkin ring, plastic or wood, stack them for a taller holder.
