Re: Heartland Vapes - We still get the $10 off per Liter or gallon price...because that IS considered their wholesale quantity sizes. It doesn't mean we have to be a vendor to get that price.

If you'll go to the Liters of nic base on their website, you'll see that the URL says wholesale in it...because that's the section of their website.

Actually, the whole site redirects to wholesale.heartlandvapes.com.

https://heartlanvapes.com

If you want a wholesale account, you have to signup for it specifically, but both retail and wholesale accounts shop at wholesale.heartlandvapes.com

Also, my cart isn't showing the discount and according to the email the nic sale starts today 2/13 (whereas the eliquid sales starts 2/14)

I think they really mean it, "wholesale accounts only", unfortunately.

Unless they're using a coupon code this time and forgot to mention it.

That's what I thought too, but I tried to check out with one and the $10 was not discounted as it had been in the past. :(

I sent an email to heartland, asked about the $10 discount, will post the response here.
...

Try again - I just went back to view my cart, refreshed, the $10/liter discount is now showing [emoji106]

(The screenshot is for 2 liters of 100 mg/ml house nic, so it has 2x10 = $20 discount. No coupon code was needed.)

Nicotine Solution - 100mg Liter

Heartland also has 8oz bottles at a decent price. I usually buy 4 of them, with the black phenolic cone cap, for each liter of nicotine base. Apparently you can save 8 cents per bottle by buying the cap separately, but I'm too lazy to do it that way.
8oz Amber Glass Bottle

For long term storage I wrap a piece of silicone self sealing tape around the bottle cap. I also put a label on the bottle, what it is (e.g., HV 100mg/ml nic, 2/2020)

1 roll of the tape goes a long way. To apply it you stretch the tape, have it overlap itself by at least a half wrap.

Well - The website opens, but I can't see anything . . . :(

AND - On that note, I have an original "Bolt" (actually first Mech MOD I won at a Vape Meet back in 2011) I really enjoyed using this one . . . SO Easy & Basic . . .

 Then all of a sudden the "Bolt" stopped working, no matter what I did or Tank I used . . .

 Does anyone have any suggestions to repair it? Or - Even know someone who can?

It's probably a bad switch. :( Not sure where you can get one. Mad Vapes used to sell the top part with the switch as a replaceable part, but I doubt they still have them.

That's what I use too... (except I prefer it in white lol) seals them a lot better than electrical tape which either eventually comes off or gets brittle (and it's air tight, which is the whole point).

That happens to me too. A lot. I've tried everything including disabling ad blocker. Most of the time it just fails to load most of the page.
Maybe try a different browser? I have never had any issues with it.

I tried both chrome and FF. No go. I even tried in FF private browser. Also disabled all add-ons. no go. Clear cache? Nope, no go. Gotta give up at some point :)

This is nothing new for me. It happened about 2 months ago. Emailed them, never emailed back.

They use BigCommerce shopping cart but that's not the problem either as I shop several vape and non-vape sites that use bigcommerce.

Not worried to much about it. Nothing there I really, really want other than maybe those mechs but I try to stay away from Smok. Not a fan.

Re: Batteries
I just got a Hohmtech Hohmbase 4 bay battery charger I am using on some 18650 batteries. It has a battery doctor feature that is supposed to restore capacity. I'll know more three days from now, eight batteries to use it with. Lot of good reviews on this charger restoring batteries that people thought were unusable.

Wish I had a charger which measured something that would tell me when they were ready to retire. What do I need for that?

My new charger, the Miboxer C412, has a mah reading on it. If you charge a battery from dead you'll know exactly how many mah it charged. Compare that to when you got it and it gives a pretty good idea of whether or not your battery is operating anywhere near new conditions. Most of my 3,000 mah batteries are only charging to about 2,000 mah or so. Time to swap them out with the new ones I have sitting in a box.

Yeah, let us know about that charger, it looks nice. If it does what it says I would pick one up even though my nitecore works just fine... I threw out 2 old batteries last week that hadn't been used in forever and were basically dead, I wish I had hung on to them just to test it out.

18650batterystore.com is sold out, imrbatteries.com has them though. Do you know if there is a way to force it to charge using the lower amps?

Mt baker Vapor had 4-bay Hohmtech chargers on sale for almost nothing. $3.99 or something IIRC. I almost picked one up but decided against. it. Of course, they're OOS now.

I don't believe it's a safety issue at all, literally just the capacity drops.

This is no different than the lithium power packs in hand tools. They're a much better tech than the older nickel batteries, but I've had to replace them over time, when they no longer hold enough charge to be useful.

Diminishing returns - i already use a couple of batteries in a day, having to do a half dozen swaps would not be fun [emoji3]

Actually there is a safety issue with older batteries according to one of Mooch’s videos on Minding Your Mahs.

Damage can’t always be seen and time changes the stability in the chemicals inside these batteries.

@Mooch posts his videos on YouTube and I’ll try to find the episode but maybe he can chime in or link us to the video that covers the internal change and damage that occurs. It has something to dendrites which while I understood I would never be able to explain.
