Inexpensive DIY Water Filter:

FYI Update: Especially for those still interested . . .

Thanks to @Uncle Willie . . . This less expensive all-in-one "Water Filter System" - even looks as though it is easier to install - was posted in another thread (Lounge Lizards / Misfits / Free Thinkers / Bohemians & the Forgotten :: Young at Heart Only) . . . So it is worth checking out:

No bueno. My cold water tap is broken and I dont think my landlord will fix it so I can drill a hole in their sink. Good idea for homeowners though.

State of Anxiety
I hope everyone is doing well! Very glad I'm stocked for vaping, one less thing to worry about. I've got a few packages from China still in transit, but they'll get here whenever. Nothing critical.

Went to Walmart and Aldi yesterday for a few more things for me and also my parents. They have been sheltering at home for a week already. It wasn't too crazy, but there were police in both parking lots. Canned goods, paper goods and meat are scarce. I'm very glad I always keep a large stock of canned goods and have a full upright freezer. Thankful I'm a knitter and an outdoor exerciser. Still, it's a tough time.

Take care of yourselves and your loved ones!

Being all stocked for vaping is very nice, but I still want to order, however virus stocking took a lot of the budget. Vicious cycle.

I did order another 50 Baby beast coils from fasttech. If they come in before May12 is rather a crap shoot at this point. It is a peace of mind thing for me I think.

My sister knows a highway patrolman who is moonlighting at $50 per hour guarding a retail supply of TP!
It’s sad that’s actually a job!! Imagine that on his resume.... rolex watches? Brinks truck? Casino? Nope! I was the top TP guard during the corona crisis.

I wonder if he gets hazard pay too?
He should! It’s ugly out there. Last week I saw fighting over frozen pizzas. People are just plain crazy. Food I understand. You need a certain amount if you’re going to be stuck at home. TP??? Geez people, you can only use so much!
Hopefully this link works...it’s funny!!!

:offtopic: If anyone needs some disposable, sterile, face masks for themselves or relatives (not the n95 ones though), iVapeSupply has some in packs of 20. They're 3 layer masks, with the 2 loops for the ears. S/H is a flat $6 for 1 or 2 packs of them. They had 41 packs about an hour ago, but have only 10 packs left right now.

Disposable Sterile Face Mask Earloop 3 Layers (20pcs)

Use coupon code CNY30 for 30% off that price!

That's a major housing violation for a landlord not to fix a plumbing problem like water access, non-working toilet, etc, etc, etc.
Its the tap on the wall not the faucet itself. I have access to running hot and cold water.

Wow, can't believe restaurants and liquor stores are closed in some states. Guess I'm lucky here in CO, both of those things AND MJ dispensaries are open.

I walked around the grocery store I go in every day last night. There is nearly nothing left. We're being asked to support local restaurants with deliveries since there's no dining in. It just so happens I do on the regular anyways. If they get shut down it looks like I'm eating a lot of frozen pizza, that's about all that was in stock.

Got TP and a bunch of wet wipes off Amazon though! lol
