I really like the Insignia 3.5' Chest freezer ee bought from bestbuy. They show sold out, but worth keeping an eye out for.

List is $150, it'll run $120 on sale.

Put it on a small tray, with some bricks or whatever to raise it up; I ended up using 8" concrete blocks, gets it to a height I find convenient.

It has a hose connect in the botton left corner, to drain it.

Ours is in a basement, pretty stable temperature. Nic is in the bottom, the rest is food. It's opened once a day, typically, negligible icing so far.

Between the stumbles from FT, increased shipping costs and possible exclusion of USPS shipping, deals from China are becoming far less attractive for US vapers.

I had a history of of FT free shipping orders arriving within 8-10 days. Another joyful part of the Golden Age of vaping, disappearing.

I'm glad that most all of us who wanted to stock up were able to enjoy great deals and cheap shipping for so long since 2016. Many Chinese vendors helped me build my hoard. Starting to stock up now would definitely be more costly and stressful.

I suspect we got while the gettin' was good.
I'm glad I've had amost 5 years to figure out stocking and if there's yet more time I'll keep thinking about it.

Has anyone else noticed the thread about 'I'm not stocking up'? I suspect many of them wiish they were still smoking and all the interfernce is their exuse to switch back.

FYI: Check out Walmart, before all the major Big Box Stores & Appliance stores . . . Actually got a 1.1 cubic Freezer at Walmart (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Arctic-King-1-1-cu-ft-Upright-Freezer-AUFM011AEW-White/248677244) . . . After an ECF "Friend" suggested it . . . Was watching it for quite some time and had "Honey" watch also to let me know when he price went down (I refuse to purchase anything at price, since I'm on a limitd budget . . . ) . . . Well - After a month or so, finally dropped from $129.00 TO $99.00 during a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale . . . After purchasing and picking up the Freezer in the store on 12/05 saw a 10% OFF promotion at the Customer Service counter . . . Called Walmart and they made the adjustment and returned the $9.90 . . . SO - Ya' never know what might happen if you take your time to "LOOK" and wait for the right price . . . :matrix: . . . Just Sayin' . . .

AH - It could, it all depends on what and which "Spiritual" guide you have watching out for "YOU", especially to point Ya' in the right direction and not let Ya' get into trouble on this journey into the "World of Vaping" either . . .

Some are even considered a -

A 1.1 cuft. Freezer is too small to hold 7 liters I believe.

If they are backups and you won't be using them for a while, put them in the fridge. I haven't started a thread on battery aging yet, but will soon, because as of a few days ago, I have test data that shows battery aging does slow down if they are kept at cooler temperatures.

Make sure they're at a reasonable storage voltage and not fully charged too. 3.6V should be good. Lastly, do let them come back to room temperature for 24 hours before charging them and putting them in service.
Excellent info ty

I have a 1.4 cu ft freezer and it could hold 8L easily. Probably more. The trick to maxing out is to use all the vertical space. I have the bottom part filled up with 8 half liter bottles. They use all the horizontal space and vertically up to the shelf. The top part is larger but not as high. I have a tub with 125ml bottles in it. I could fit 1/4L bottles there but they would come within 1/4" of the top so when ice formed on the top of the freezer the bottles would be frozen in. The 125ml bottles waste some space above them.

I did once try filling a tub with empty 1/4L bottles laid on their sides and stacked. Can't remember exactly how much but I was able to get quite a bit more bottle volume in there that way. Never bothered because I have 5 1/2 L now and I don't need any more. There's still plenty of space for bottles of mixed base.

It wouldn't surprise me if you could get 7L in the 1.1 Cu Ft freezer by playing around with different bottle sizes and arrangements. Wrapping bottles in bubble wrap and bags and so forth like some folks do is going to cut it down.

FYI: Honestly, I didn't think so either . . . But - As I mention in my other post . . . So far I have 4 litters already Decanted/Labeled/Wrapped/Tapped too (Total of 15 8oz Bottles) on the top shelf with enough room for another 2 or 3 8oz Bottles. And - Then there is the bottom shelf hat I am hoping to fill with another 8 - 10 8oz bottles. Which accordingly should be approximately another 11 - 13 8oz bottles equaling almost 3 1/2 to 4 litters of NIC. Might even get a few more bottles on the top shelf if I take the 8 Bottles out of the plastic shoe box they are sitting in. Although, I do have another 6 1/2 litters sitting in another cool closet too. But only have another 6 8oz bottles and 6 4oz bottles at the moment, so we'll see what happens.

BTW: They say a picture is worth a 1,000 words - so here is a picture:

Same here; 2 weeks tops, sometimes faster. Never had a problem until this year.

I'm curious about your results. I don't stockpile batteries, but whatever batteries I have at home are always at room temp. Per Battery University recommendations:

Ahem. I don't stockpile. Never did. But I have enough already to last me a long time--after 10 years of vaping and buying new toys as they improved and became more efficient and oh so user friendly. Had I started stockpiling in 2010, as I was strongly advised to do then, I'd be forever vaping my 180mAh cigalike batteries with burning cartomizers on top. I actually do know someone who still has 50 or 100 boxes of Boge cartos.

I have enough nicotine in my freezer, I may add another liter soon. I have a list of a few things I want to buy before the September PMTA deadline--a few mods that I know I like, more coils for my Zlides. A few new RTAs. That's it.

As for the other thread? The few people who posted there are all very well stocked, believe me. ;)

From reddit:

- One person says that separate-battery mods are better than built-in battery mods because rechargeable batteries stop holding a charge sooner or later and it's cheaper to replace a battery than a mod. Plus, in the US, there won't be any mods to buy (legally) soon.

- Reply says that other parts of mods fail before the built-in batteries do. Firing buttons stop working, battery compartments break, leaked e-liquid kills the mod, etc. so built-in batteries will outlast the rest of the mod.

What do y'all think?

Thanks.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other. ;) Really, nothing lasts forever.

However, a good mechanical mod, if you have the knowledge and courage to use one, is probably your best bet, as there are no electronics onboard. Just on and off button.

I don't have any mechs, but when push comes to shove...

I have the most liters of everyone I know willing to admit it but I'm kind of young.

I will not repeat it here I mean I have mentioned it several places. LOL.

Better to be safe than sorry. Plus you can have a nice little black market Ejuice business down the line if you ever wanted to!

Your logic is sound. Unfortunately I lack the both the knowledge and the courage. I do admit I have wanted to try them in the past. Then I think about how I would probably blow my face up.

Thanks. One of the lovely members here mentioned that before and i got a couple (on clearance sales -- those suckers can be expensive!). As i lack both the knowledge & the courage at this point, they're still unused in their boxes. Lack of knowledge can be fixed. Desperation may overcome a lack of courage one day.

They don't have to last forever; they just have to last as long as i do. :)
For vapocalypse survival on a limited budget though, would you get more separate battery mods or more built-in ones? Or "six of one, half a dozen of the other" regardless?

I probably do have enough knowledge to not blow my face off right away, but using a mech is, in my mind, a PITA, and always involves a risk of something going wrong. I want my mod to take care of me--short circuit protection, variable wattage, reverse polarity battery protection are just a few things I don't want to be without.

Oliver Kershaw, the founder of this forum, wrote an article on the subject and was, inevitably, viciously attacked for expressing his opinions. But I agree with him. Please read it before you use your mechs.

Mech mods exploding: history repeating, with no end in sight

:) Since I have no idea, really, six of one it is. I have and use both kinds. Get what's on sale, just don't get any mods made by Smok.

I got a couple and actually vaped one to make sure I could. I forget its name but it has a serial number! That has never happened before! I got it super cheap at some vape place clearing out their mods and I am so glad I did! It is fun, but I don't got the patience for mech mods I mean you gotta pay attention every single second.

But yeah a couple mech mods do not got amiss and I'm glad I have them.
