People could start saving their Altoids tins, for later use! :D

@Katya has posted in the past that she has the schematics for turning 1 into a mod. They're likely still easily found online, too.

I don’t know if they are still on the forum but back in the day there were several tutorials on building simple box mods. Back in 2009-2010 I bought battery boxes, switches, and salvaged 510 connectors out of old 510 batteries and built simple box mods for 14500 batteries. I doubt I’d be satisfied with that today but it’s something. I have no concerns of being stocked enough. I have well over 100 mods plus a bunch of pod devices, a ton of different tanks, and 10.5 liters of nic. What makes me sad is the folks just getting started or can’t afford to stock up that may very well return to cigarettes.

I have some old royal hunter RDAs. Most of them were all steel but some colors had a brass top part. The brass ones started tasting rotten after a few days. I opened one up to see what the problem was and the brass section was covered in green slime. Probably some kind of reaction with the copper.

I guess you can buy stainless tubing but it would be a lot harder to work than copper. Nothing a dremel couldn't handle though.

Nice to have options. OK maybe for people who know what they are doing and have the skills to make their own. If people start buying home made RDAs to put on home made mechs made by a guy they met at a party, burning imported nic they picked up from another guy downtown, what could possibly go wrong.

Just finished doing most of my stocking up.

I have 2x DotMod DotSquonk 100w boxes coming (a bit pricey but I absolutely love the mod).
And 4x Oumier Wasp Nano RDAs.
And also a liter of AmeriNic 100mg Nicotine base (which by my calculations should last me about 8 years).

I have a few things in storage, like my REO squonker, but I lost everything I had from when I started back in 2013 in a 2018 wildfire, so now I don’t have quite as much.

I lost one of my REOs, my iHybrid Pure, my Dominus Fecit tube mod (loved that thing), my Joyetech eVic, my Kayfun Lite, and about 25 other various atomizers.

Remember the Igo-L? I still used it to test flavors.

My daily rig is a DotSquonk 100W with an Origen Mini-16 single coil atty @27 watts, so I think my stocking up should last me quite a while. I’m not a cloud chucker, lol.

I bought a ton of the kanger clapton coils when they were on clearance a while back but am finding that I don’t love the airflow from the tanks I have. Does anyone know if they will fit in other tanks besides kanger ones?

Which tanks do you have? I've got both the Toptank mini and protank 4 in the bag with the Claptons.

I have the subtank mini and a couple clones of another one but forgot the name. I was wondering if they worked with another brand of tank. I may just put them on the classified section.

There were tanks that weren't very popular that took kanger OCC and SSOCC coils (the EHPro Morph tank being one of them), but I doubt they would have any less restricted airflow, though, because the coil head itself is a big factor that contributes to the restriction of the airflow of the subtank.

I was toying with the idea of selling all my Kanger OCC/SSOCC coils. Mine are all 1.2ohm though. I recently acquired a slew of other tanks that I like the stock coil on more than the Subtanks (which are my main stock coil tank in my stash). But I really don't feel like buying hundreds of new coil heads. lol

Since I bought those, I’ve stocked up on a few other coils that I like better. I really just bought them because they were so cheap and thought I could use them if I had to. Now I’m not sure I’d ever use them.

I still like them but the other tanks I got are better and are a better vape. One issue I have is that the only coils made for them are subohm with 0.5 being the highest and it's a dual coil. It's a better vape but I have to run them at higher wattage which drinks more juice and an 18650 battery runs out a lot quicker than when vaping 1.2 ohms single coil.

But damn, the vape is nicer and it's cooler than subtank 0.5 ohm coils (I prefer the cooler vape which is why I never took to the 0.5 ohm kanger soils). I paid an average of about $8 per pack average for all my kanger OCC/SSOCC coils and I have a feeling I would have to take a loss. Bummer.

I think a number of us looked at coils in the last couple years much like toilet paper last spring - get 'em while you can, even if it's not exactly what you knew you liked. It's a good thing some were pretty cheap.

There still may be others that like our castoffs or may want to trade in the future, so they likely won't go to waste. Nothing wrong with the occasional filter swap down the road.:)

While it's been over 8 years for me, I still think every day I don't smoke is a victory :)
Really... I feel so bad. Quit for over 8 months and "slipped" back into smoking (still love vaping and hate smoking, but need a few every morning) So love vaping and wonder why I why still do that (hate myself for it) Going to vape right now and re-think life (why, after 8 months did I slip?) I have may excuses... stress, my living situation, ect. but every time I smoke. I'm like this tastes like crap, my lungs hate me, and i just want to vape instead (because it tastes so good) Seriously... it is hard to get this "monkey off my back". Didn't mean to bring anyone down... just being honest.

Having a couple smokes isn't like falling off the wagon - you're still smoking far less than you would have. Over the years I've gone through a pack here and there. I don't beat myself up when I do, and always end up happier vaping. I haven't had a smoke in the last year or so but I'm almost ten years in. You're not alone here in being a dual user, just on the journey to be smoke free. Hang in there!

Long story short, since then I picked up a series mech, a parallel mech, Profile rda, Aromamizer Supreme v2 and the mesh deck, a Widowmaker rta, a Reload rta, Kylin M, spare tanks for my Crius and Bellus tanks (I've missed those guys!)
Just wondering... are you talking about the UD Bellus? Very small build deck, not enough space to work with? It has been a nightmare for me (but the one time I got it to work, I loved it) Please give me some tips. ;)
